After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2266: Chapter 2270: Don’t Dare to Move

Leng Zirui gently closed his eyes, allowing his mind to empty for a moment.

Tomorrow is very crucial; he indeed needs to properly rest to handle the matters of tomorrow.

Xu Xia leans against his chest but keeps her eyes open, not sleeping.

She slept the whole afternoon and half the night before, so she has slept quite a bit. Now, fully awake and not at all sleepy, she listens to the relaxed breathing of Leng Zirui beside her. She quietly lifts her face to observe his expression; under the dim light, she can see his long eyelashes drooping, breathing steadily, he truly seems asleep.

She dares not move and doesn’t sleep, simply watching him silently, listening to his breathing.

In the latter half of the night, she doesn’t plan to sleep because she has decided to keep vigil for him, just like Leng Zirui did for her that one night, allowing him to rest peacefully.

Suburban Rome.

A police car swiftly passes by and then stops on a small path in the suburbs, the door opens, and a few officers jump out one after another.

Behind them, an ordinary car hurries over, quickly stopping, as soon as the car stabilizes, the door is pushed open, and a tall, thin figure emerges from inside; it is Shangguan Feng.

”Mr. Shangguan.”

Seeing the arrival, an inspector immediately walks forward politely and shakes hands with Shangguan Feng.

Shangguan Feng shook the other party’s hand, ”Hello, where’s the car?!”

”Right over there.” The other party gestures with their chin to not far away.

Shangguan Feng shifts his gaze, looking past the police car, soon noticing a black car parked at the roadside, he hurriedly leads his assistant over.

”Is it this one?” Shangguan Feng examines the car that’s empty and asks his assistant.

”That’s correct, it is this one.” The assistant immediately replied.

”What about the people in the car?” Shangguan Feng quickly asks the inspector beside him.

”It was already empty when we discovered it; there wasn’t anyone inside.” The inspector shrugs, ”Mr. Shangguan, what is the matter with this car?”

”It’s like this, a friend of mine is missing, and I suspect the owner of this car might be involved with the incident.” Shangguan Feng explained.

”This... I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed.” The inspector shook his head, ”There are no clues on the car; we checked the records earlier; it’s a rental, and the payment was made in cash without using a credit card, so we can’t trace any information about them.”

Listening to this, Shangguan Feng could only look helpless; they managed to find ROY, and now the trail has gone cold.

Thinking of Xu Xia being in danger now, Shangguan Feng showed a distressed face.

”If your friend is missing, you can actually file a report, I have a colleague with experience in this area, or I could recommend a friend to you?!” The inspector politely suggested.

”Not for now.” Shangguan Feng gently shook his head; Lei’s Family father and daughter have eyes within the police force, and he doesn’t want this incident to be leaked, otherwise it would alert the enemy, making them likely harm Xu Xia.

Thanking the other party and leaving, Shangguan Feng sat back into the car, just furrowing his brow in thought.

”Sir, where are we heading now?!” The assistant asks while driving.

Shangguan Feng withdraws his gaze from outside the window, ”Lei’s Nightclub.”

He couldn’t find ROY, at least he might find Lei Qingqing; these two have been moving closely together recently. Perhaps he can follow the trail and find the whereabouts of ROY.
