After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2269: Chapter 2273: Will You Chase Me Again?

Behind her, there were a couple of dozen followers, all neatly dressed, with a few carrying bulging packages that seemed quite heavy.

”Randy, wake up!” Watching everyone getting into the cars, Shangguan Feng immediately shook the Randy beside him lightly, ”Hurry, hurry... start the car.”

Randy was startled awake from his sleep, ”Mr. Shangguan...”

Seeing him still a bit dazed, Shangguan Feng simply got out of the car himself, walked to his side, motioned for him to sit in the back, Randy groggily moved to the back seat, and Shangguan Feng immediately started the car, silently following Lei Qingqing’s car.

Chengxi Villa.

Leng Zirui opened his eyes, glanced at his watch, the time showed 6 a.m., it was just dawn outside the window.

”You’re awake?”

From his embrace, Xu Xia’s voice softly rang out.

Leng Zirui looked down in surprise at her bright eyes, ”Why are you awake too?”

Xu Xia raised her lips, ”I slept too much yesterday.”

She wasn’t really awake, just never fell asleep; first because she’d indeed slept too much, and second out of concern for him. Even though Leng Zirui hadn’t said anything, Xu Xia still guessed that he must have something important to do today.

”Since you don’t have to work, why not just sleep in for a few days.” Leng Zirui gently stroked her face, ”By the way, I have good news for you, Xiao Qian and Mo Mo have successfully left Rome.”

”Really? That’s great.” Xu Xia’s face lit up with a bright smile, ”Now they can finally reunite as a family of three, but I wonder when she’ll regain her memory.”

”Worst case, they’ll just fall in love all over again.” Leng Zirui chuckled.

Luo Xiaoqian and Leng Zimo’s situation was something he understood very well, these two were truly made for each other, even if they forgot each other, they would still internally recognize the other as their true love.

”You’re right, they love each other so much, even if they forget, they’ll still love each other.” Xu Xia stretched lazily, ”Speaking of which, those two really have had quite a bit of hardships, but they’re pretty enviable, possibly getting to fall in love several times in a lifetime.”

”Why don’t I have amnesia once?” Leng Zirui pulled her into his arms, ”Then, would you chase me again?”

”What do you mean me chase you again?” Xu Xia immediately rolled her eyes, ”Clearly it was you who chased me.”

”I remember very well, it was someone who, pretending to be drunk, confessed first.” Leng Zirui unceremoniously laid bare her secret.

”I was just joking. I only remember someone getting shot and tricking me into being their girlfriend.” Xu Xia retorted tit-for-tat.

”Alright.” Leng Zirui laughed, gently caressing her face with indulgence, ”How about you have amnesia, and I’ll chase you again.”

”Of course you’ll have to chase, but no need for amnesia, since you haven’t caught me yet anyway!”

”Is that so?!” Leng Zirui turned over, pinning her beneath him, leaning in mischievously to her face, ”Is it considered caught now, or... do we have to get a bit closer, turning the distance into a negative perhaps?”

”You... you rogue...” understanding the implication in his words, Xu Xia just blushed while scolding him.

”Isn’t this the part of me that you love the most?!” Leng Zirui lightly chuckled, caressing her lips, ”I remember you were the one who told me to be a bit wild that night, and that’s one thing I’ve definitely not forgotten.”

Xu Xia’s cheeks turned an even deeper shade of red, yet she stubbornly retorted, ”When did that happen? I have no idea!”
