After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2253: Chapter 2257: Did You Remember the License Plate Number?

Luo Xiaoqian went upstairs, took a quick shower, and went to bed.

Luo Ke tracked her using surveillance. He watched her turn off the lights and then made a round of the entire island, including the crucial basement, to ensure there was nothing unusual before finally switching off the surveillance.

Tomorrow, he’ll be able to eliminate the Lei Family Father and Daughter, and by then, no one in Rome or even Italy will be able to challenge him. Luo Xiaoqian’s attitude towards him has evidently improved, and everything seems to be moving in a positive direction.

”Very good.” Luo Ke smiled, raising his finger, gently rubbing the cobra ring on his finger. ”When all this is over, I’ll use our wedding as the best gift to myself.”

...

...

Lei’s Nightclub.

Leng Zirui tipped his head back and downed the drink from his glass, then stood up from his chair. ”That’s it for today; after we’ve won, we’ll celebrate then. I’ll have a good drink with Miss Qing Qing, and we won’t stop until we’re completely drunk.”

”No stopping until we’re drunk,” Lei Wenting smiled and winked at Lei Qingqing. ”Qing Qing, you escort Mr. ROY out!”

”Alright.” Lei Qingqing stood up. ”Please!”

Leng Zirui did not hold back, striding out of the room as Lei Wenting followed him into the corridor, while Lei Qingqing led the way to personally escort him downstairs.

Downstairs, Mount Tai had already pulled the car up to the door; Leng Zirui sat in the backseat, not forgetting to blow a kiss to Lei Qingqing through the car window.

”Sweetheart, see you tomorrow.”

Lei Qingqing just gritted her teeth, her face cold, acting as if she hadn’t seen or heard anything.

The car drove away from the nightclub, and Leng Zirui glanced at the clock. ”There’s more than an hour until the transaction; let’s head back to the villa first.”

He hadn’t seen Xu Xia for half a day, which always left him a little uneasy.

The car drove onto the driveway, and Leng Zirui did not relax his guard. He occasionally glanced at the rearview mirror and soon noticed a car constantly following them.

The driver, Mount Tai, also noticed the situation. ”Sir, there’s a tail, do you want...?”

”Shake them off.” Leng Zirui said calmly.

The situation was complex, and it was unclear who exactly was following them. To avoid accidentally harming allies, Leng Zirui didn’t focus on the stalkers too much, merely ordered his subordinate to shake them off.

Mount Tai is a veteran, quickly losing the car pursuing them in sight.

”Damn it!” The assistant in the car behind angrily slapped the steering wheel, pulled over to the roadside, and took out his phone to call Shangguan Feng. ”Mr. Shangguan... Sorry, I’ve... lost them.”

On the other end of the call, Shangguan Feng also felt a bit helpless. It was a moment before he asked, ”Did you remember the license plate number?”

”I remembered,” the assistant answered.

”Tell me what it is.” Shangguan Feng grabbed a pencil. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

The other party reported Leng Zirui’s license plate number, Shangguan Feng carefully wrote it down, thought for a moment, then dialed a number from the phone directory. ”Commissioner, it’s Shangguan. I need a favor. I have a license plate number here, and I’d like you to check if you can locate this car. It was roughly ten minutes ago on XX Street.”

”No problem, give me the license plate number.” The person on the other end agreed wholeheartedly.

The person on the other end was responsible for traffic management matters and was also a subordinate under the supervision of Shangguan Feng’s father, having a decent relationship with the Shangguan family.

Shangguan Feng didn’t like using his father’s influence, but this time, for the sake of rescuing Xu Xia from his peril, he couldn’t afford any scruples.
