After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2270: Chapter 2274: Shall We Get Married?

”Then how about I help you jog your memory?” Leng Zirui leaned in close to her face.

”No need, I’m not Xiao Qian.” Xu Xia’s mouth was stubborn, but her breathing had already grown a little tight.

Leng Zirui didn’t say anything more; he just moved in and kissed her lips, while his hand reached over and lifted the hem of her nightdress.

Xu Xia’s heart was pounding like Ray; she whispered, ”You... don’t you still have official business to do?!”

He still had things to take care of today, and had to... with her... She was just worried it would affect his work.

Leng Zirui only lifted his face and shot her a wicked grin. ”It’s fine, I’m fast.”

As he spoke, Xu Xia suddenly felt a chill on her leg, something was being fastened around her foot. Feeling that something was off, she pushed herself up on her arms in confusion, only to see Leng Zirui carefully strapping a holster with a gun to her thigh.

”Is this... a gun?!”

”What else did you think I was going to do?!” Leng Zirui raised his hand to pinch her cheek. ”Your husband’s got real business to handle today, so I’m giving you a gun to play with first. Later, I’ll give you my gun too.” 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

”Pervert!” Xu Xia cursed again, but her gaze was curiously fixed on the gun he was taking out of the box. ”Is this a real gun?!”

”Of course.” Leng Zirui placed the gun into her hand. ”It’s made of ivory, and the bullets inside are a new type of material that can slip past metal detectors. Keep it on you for self-defense, don’t let anyone see it. Once you’re safely back in Beijing, then return it to me.

Xu Xia pursed her lips. ”You’re still taking it back?”

”That’s the rule. How can a civilian like you carry a gun?” Leng Zirui looked at her expression. ”Relax, when the time comes I’ll give you a completely realistic replica to play with, and then I’ll take you shooting at the range, okay?”

Xu Xia’s mood instantly flipped from cloudy to clear. ”You’d better remember your promise to me!”

She actually knew she couldn’t keep this thing anyway. She was just using the chance to fleece him for a little fun.

”You brat!” Leng Zirui gave the tender flesh on her thigh a light twist, then raised his hand to wrap around her palm. ”Remember, this is the safety. Press this before you can fire. And also, unless it’s absolutely necessary, don’t use it. With your shooting skills, I’m seriously worried you won’t hurt anyone else and will end up hurting yourself.”

With his sharp eyes there was no way he couldn’t tell she was doing it on purpose. He knew what she liked, and he was just deliberately playing to her tastes to coax her happy.

”Am I really that useless?” Xu Xia turned her face, half serious, half joking, and bit him on the cheek, then put the gun away and hopped off the bed. ”I’ll go get your bath ready.”

She couldn’t help him with anything, and even made him worry. Xu Xia just hoped she could do whatever she could for him.

Leng Zirui understood what was on her mind. Smiling, he walked over and watched her bustling around, and suddenly felt that having a woman didn’t seem so bad.

Once she’d finished getting his bath ready, Xu Xia walked over with a smile and gave him a mock bow. ”Mr. ROY, you may bathe now. I’ll go lay out clean clothes for you.”

”Wifey,” Leng Zirui hooked an arm around her waist, ”once this mission’s over, let’s get married, yeah?”

Xu Xia felt sweet as if she’d swallowed honey, but her face was deliberately scornful. ”Forget about a ring, you don’t even have a single rose. And you still want to sweet-talk me into marrying you? You’re dreaming. I refuse!”

Her words had barely fallen when Leng Zirui’s lips were already on her neck, sucking hard and leaving several ”flowers” behind, then he lifted his face.

”If that’s not enough, I can keep going.”

Good night. Also, I’ve got something on Tomorrow morning, so the noon update might be a little late.
