After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1988: Chapter 1992: He Doesn’t Want To

Leng Zimo ran through the bushes, with an earpiece in his ear. Although it was wet, it was still working properly. From the words his brother Leng Zirui intentionally spoke into the earpiece, he knew that Luo Ke was leading people in pursuit toward the villa.

Four or five bodyguards were also chasing him.

Darting behind a tree, Leng Zimo gripped his gun, curling his body.

Footsteps approached from behind, closing in rapidly. Just as they were right upon him, Leng Zimo suddenly revealed himself and pulled the trigger, a muffled sound as the bullet was fired.

Two bullets fired from the silenced handgun, penetrating the body of the pursuing bodyguard, who fell with a muted thud onto the grass.

Another approaching bodyguard spotted him and immediately fired, but Leng Zimo leaped aside as the bullet whizzed past his side.

The bullet missed him, but its sound drew the attention of the other pursuing bodyguards, who quickly headed in his direction.

Although Leng Zimo had never joined the military camp, having been trained by their grandfather Leng Lin from a young age, his physical abilities were somewhat inferior to his brother Leng Zirui, who had been in regular training. However, in shooting, he had an equally impressive talent.

Firing as he fled, he swiftly dealt with the bodyguards chasing him. Leng Zimo then made a beeline for the docks.

”Send some people to the docks... the rest, follow up, quickly...”

Leng Zirui’s voice echoed in his ear again.

Growing up together, the two brothers had a deep mutual understanding. Leng Zimo knew his brother was hinting for him to escape towards the docks. The pursuers hadn’t reached yet, as long as he got to the docks, he could take a boat and leave.

Seeing the beach not far away, Leng Zimo quickly ran to the dock, took down two men stationed there, then rushed over, untied a speedboat’s rope, and jumped down, glancing back at the lit room facing the sea on the villa’s third floor. Frowning, he turned his face away, yanked the line from beneath the speedboat, and started it up.

He turned the speedboat around, took a knife from his backpack, and jammed the throttle open. The speedboat surged forward while Leng Zimo leaped into the sea.

He knew that as long as he had the speedboat, he could escape.

But he didn’t want to!

Luo Xiaoqian was still here; how could he leave her behind?

This time, he wouldn’t leave without taking her with him.

Otherwise, who knows if Luo Ke might take her to another location again. The tracker was broken, and he couldn’t give Luo Ke another chance to take her away.

As Leng Zimo swam near the beach, Luo Ke was leading his men toward the docks.

Climbing ashore, Leng Zimo quickly took cover, using the villa’s wing gardens to stealthily approach the villa.

By this time, most of the bodyguards inside the villa had already been dealt with, but the villa itself was the most dangerous place. However, under cover of darkness, the most dangerous place could also be the safest.

After all, who would guess he would hide inside the villa?!

Once near the villa, Leng Zimo looked around carefully, ensuring no one was watching, and quickly darted into a small side door.

Inside was a small space with a removable iron cover on the floor. Leng Zimo carefully opened the cover and shone a small flashlight, revealing a staircase descending. He could vaguely see wine racks and shelves with canned goods, clearly a storage room.
