After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1984: Chapter 1988: What Do They Want to Steal

The two henchmen immediately grabbed their guns and walked in, one heading to the bathroom, the other to the changing room.

Luo Xiaoqian pulled the blanket over herself and slightly frowned.

At this moment, Luo Ke also walked over, striding towards the balcony.

”Cough!” Luo Xiaoqian faked a cough, ”What exactly are you doing, and why are they carrying guns?!”

She wasn’t sure if that person got far away, but her action was to cover for Leng Zimo.

”Don’t worry, Sissi, they won’t harm you.” Luo Ke walked to the edge of the balcony, looked down, didn’t see anyone, and retreated back into the room, gently closing the balcony door, ”Why didn’t you close the door?!”

”I... I forgot.” Luo Xiaoqian said softly.

”Did you really forget?” Luo Ke’s scrutinizing gaze fell on her face.

There was a hint of distrust in his eyes.

”Sir, no one!”

The two henchmen came out of the bathroom and the changing room respectively, reporting to Luo Ke.

”What are they saying?” Luo Xiaoqian asked in English, as she couldn’t understand their Italian.

”Nothing.” Luo Ke gave a signal to the henchmen, then raised his hand to support Luo Xiaoqian’s shoulder, ”A few thieves got onto the island just now, I was worried they might harm you.”

Thieves?!

Could it be that the man earlier was a thief?!

”What do they want to steal?”

”Of course, my collections. Anything here is immensely valuable...”

Anything here is immensely valuable?!

It seems what he truly cares about are the thieves, not her.

A man who truly loves her, if such an incident really happened, the first thing he should ask is if she was safe. But he didn’t; he just sent his henchmen to search her bathroom and changing room for thieves.

Does this man really love her?!

Doubt naturally rose in Luo Xiaoqian’s heart. If not, then are the things he says true?!

Luo Ke says he loves her, that man also says he loves her; who among them is true, who is false?!

”What are you thinking?” Luo Ke gently asked, noticing her uneasy expression, ”Were you scared earlier? I’m sorry, Sissi, I didn’t expect such a thing to happen. Don’t misunderstand me, I was just worried about your safety.”

”I was thinking about this key just now.” Luo Xiaoqian took out the key from around her neck, ”You must recognize it, right? Which lock does this key open?”

Luo Ke glanced at the key in her hand and shook his head gently, ”You misunderstood, this is not a real key, just a decorative one.”

He didn’t know the origin of the key, so he just casually covered it up.

”Then... why would I wear a key around my neck?” Luo Xiaoqian continued to ask.

”That’s because... you used this key to open the door to my heart. No woman has ever gotten into my heart before, but you did. This key and the necklace were my gifts to you, intending to express that...” Luo Ke smiled dotingly, ”The door to my heart is open only for you, Sissi. Do you understand my meaning?!”

Is that so?!

Luo Xiaoqian looked into his eyes, and the affection in them didn’t seem fake, but the image of that man helping her change shoes was deeply embedded in her mind.

Between the two men, who is genuine, and who is lying? Who should she trust?!
