After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1975: Chapter 1979: Her Hair

Checking that no one was around, he shoved the gun into his pocket, raised his hand to grasp the European-style carved ornament on the wall, and carefully climbed up towards the second floor.

The signal from the transmitter had disappeared, and he couldn’t pinpoint Luo Xiaoqian’s exact location.

The mansion had three floors; generally, the first floor should be all living rooms and dining areas, while the lounges and living rooms should be on the second and third floors.

Considering that Luo Xiaoqian certainly wouldn’t obediently follow orders, she must be confined somewhere by Luo Ke, which was why Leng Zimo decided to start his search from the second floor.

The security situation on the island was generally lax on the inside and tight outside.

Luo Ke was someone who really valued personal territory, even his subordinates and servants knew his character, so generally, they wouldn’t be on the second and third floors.

Leng Zimo climbed in through the side window of the corridor, quickly glanced around, and then began searching room by room.

This villa was much larger than typical ones, with over a dozen rooms on either side of the corridor. Leng Zimo pushed open each door, searching for any trace of Luo Xiaoqian.

Carefully passing by the corner of the stairs, he was checking a room on the left side when footsteps sounded in the corridor.

Leng Zimo pushed the door to his left but it wouldn’t budge. In a moment of desperation, he dashed to the right and grabbed the door to a room on the right, which easily swung open.

Inside the room, it was dark, with no sign of anyone.

Leng Zimo turned around, gently closed the door, and quickly pulled the gun from his pocket, holding it in his hand.

A patrolling subordinate was coming up the stairs, and Leng Zimo held his breath, watching him through the crack of the door.

The subordinate patrolled once through the corridor, saw nothing unusual, and turned to head towards the third floor.

Although there were surveillance systems on the second and third-floor corridors, due to issues with the power system, they hadn’t been activated, so the guards diligently patrolled up and down to prevent any incidents.

Leng Zimo leaned against the wall, letting out a silent sigh of relief, and then once again observed the room behind him.

By now, he had already adjusted to the dimness of the room and could vaguely make out the surroundings.

This was a very luxurious living room with a large terrace facing the sea, a wide European-style bronze bed, the bed slightly rumpled, as if someone had slept in it.

The room’s decor was mainly in white and light purple, the style entirely that of a lavish European princess room.

It was very clear this was a lady’s bedroom.

Who could be staying in this room?!

Could it be... Xiao Qian?!

His heart stirred, and Leng Zimo quickly moved to the side of the bed, pulled out a small flashlight, and shone it at the pillow. Soon, he discovered several long hairs on the pillow.

The hair was black and shiny, silky smooth.

Delight surged in Leng Zimo’s heart, it had to be; this had to be Xiao Qian’s room.

The girl he had seen in the forest earlier had blonde hair, such long and shiny black hair must be Xiao Qian’s.

Gripping those few soft strands of hair, Leng Zimo felt like he was holding onto all hope. He immediately turned towards the door.

No!

After two steps, he stopped again.

Thinking about this, he glanced around once more, noticed the door to the closet, turned, and walked over, pushing the door open and hid inside the corner.

If he rushed out like this, he might not find Xiao Qian, and only get discovered. Since this is Xiao Qian’s room, she will definitely return.

In the darkness, he tightly gripped the gun, quietly waiting, simply mouthing Luo Xiaoqian’s name in his heart.

Xiao Qian, come back quickly.

As long as you come back, I’ll take you away at once, at any... cost!
