After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1973: Chapter 1977: Something Feels Off

She was still pondering, but after thinking like this for two hours, it was all for naught. The memories in her head seemed to have been completely erased, leaving not a trace.

The sea breeze lifted her long hair and dress, the originally loose clothing now pressed against her body by the wind, revealing her graceful figure, that beautiful back view like a mermaid coming ashore, making hearts skip a beat.

Luo Ke slowly walked over, extending his arm to embrace her from behind.

”Ah!”

Feeling his touch, Luo Xiaoqian was startled, jumping away with a scream, and turned to see him, taking a breath in fright.

”Did I scare you?”

”No... no.” Luo Ke forced a smile at him.

”What are you thinking about?”

”I was just thinking about the past...” Luo Xiaoqian shook her head in frustration, ”But I can’t remember anything at all.”

”It’s okay, Sissi, take your time...”

”But...” Luo Xiaoqian looked at him apologetically, ”Luo Ke, were we really in love?”

If she truly loved him so much before, how could she have no impression of him at all?!

”Look at this!” Luo Ke raised his left hand, showing her the handmade silver ring on his ring finger, ”This ring was made by you and given to me.”

On the dim terrace, the silver ring on his hand shimmered slightly.

Luo Xiaoqian raised her hand, held his palm, and looked closely at the silver ring on his finger.

The silver ring wasn’t crafted very delicately, obviously not by a skilled artisan, but rather handmade.

The slightly awkward hollow carvings seemed like patterns, yet also like letters.

Looking at the ring, Luo Xiaoqian felt a sense of familiarity.

”Can I take it off and have a look?!”

Luo Ke took off the ring and handed it to her.

”You gave it to me on my birthday, it was... the most wonderful birthday of my life.”

She seemed to have a sense of familiarity with the ring, and he immediately seized the opportunity.

Luo Xiaoqian held the ring in her palm, tilted her head to examine it carefully, but still couldn’t remember anything, ”I still... can’t remember.”

”Even if you’ve forgotten, it doesn’t matter, we can start over.” Luo Ke lovingly smiled and held her shoulder, ”We can fall in love again.”

She was like a blank slate now, he could draw whatever he wanted on her canvas; Luo Ke liked this feeling of control.

He only hoped that she would forget everything forever, so she would always be his Sissi.

Luo Xiaoqian lifted her face to look at him, his gaze was immensely tender.

Perhaps, he truly loved her, didn’t he?

”Thank you, Luo Ke.”

”Never be polite with me, Sissi!”

Luo Ke whispered, once again leaning his face towards her.

His body moved closer, his intense masculine scent instantly enveloping her senses.

He had the smell of cologne, not too strong, not too pungent, but for the overly sensitive Luo Xiaoqian during pregnancy, the scent was sufficient to be an irritant.

She didn’t like that smell, or rather, it felt wrong.

No, it’s not the right feeling!

Perhaps it was an instinctual feeling acting up, or maybe it was instinct.

Just before Luo Ke kissed her, Luo Xiaoqian suddenly took a step back, avoiding him.

Luo Ke kissed into the air, looking at her in surprise as she retreated to the railing, ”Sissi?!”
