After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 389: Chapter 390: The Issue with the Girlfriend

She shook her head gently, ”Then what are you laughing at?”

Leng Zimo smiled as he gazed into her eyes, ”I’m very happy to see you get jealous over me!”

Luo Xiaoqian was taken aback.

”Dressing up, wearing such high heels, and intentionally putting on makeup, you’ve been sullen all the way, with such a fake smile, and you’ve been daydreaming during dinner...” Leng Zimo’s mysterious smile emerged, ”Aren’t you acting this way because of Xu Pei?”

No wonder she had been acting so strange tonight.

He was worried that something had happened to her, so he sent Xu Pei away as quickly as he could, wanting to have a proper talk with her.

It turned out that this girl was actually jealous of Xu Pei.

Caught by his insight, Luo Xiaoqian’s face heated up, ”Zimo, was I very inappropriate just now?”

”No.” Leng Zimo gently touched her face, ”I’m sorry, Xiao Qian; I should have explained the situation with Xu Pei to you in advance. We did grow up in the same yard, but it’s not what you think, she’s no different to me than Huangfu or Yizhou are.”

Although he was very happy to see how much she cared for him, making her feel uneasy was certainly not the result he wanted.

”However...” A puzzled look appeared in Leng Zimo’s eyes, ”How did you know she’s a girl?”

”I just... heard Teacher Xu say you had a girlfriend, so I guessed wildly?” Luo Xiaoqian said honestly.

”Girlfriend?” This time, it was Leng Zimo who was puzzled.

Luo Xiaoqian felt a little wronged, ”Yes, today during the street photo shoot, Teacher Xu gave me the card you wrote and told me that if it wasn’t for knowing you had a girlfriend, he would have introduced me to you. He also said Mr. Anderson had seen your girlfriend.”

”Seen ’my girlfriend’?” Leng Zimo.

Luo Xiaoqian nodded lightly.

Leng Zimo frowned in thought, ”Are you talking about the postcard I signed last time for Teacher Xu when I went to Lapland?”

Without waiting for Luo Xiaoqian to speak, he already burst out laughing once again.

This time, he laughed even more exaggeratedly than before.

Luo Xiaoqian was even more confused, just watching him with puzzlement.

Finally, Leng Zimo managed to contain his laughter, raised his hand to steady her shoulders, ”Let me tell you, I do have a girlfriend, and Anderson has indeed seen her.”

Luo Xiaoqian’s heart tightened suddenly, her lips parted, but no sound came out.

”Idiot!” Seeing her expression was off, Leng Zimo muttered helplessly and tenderly, ”That girlfriend, isn’t that you?”

”Me?!” Luo Xiaoqian grew more bewildered.

”Don’t tell me you have forgotten that we had dinner with Anderson together.”

”We did have dinner, but at that time...”

At that time, they hadn’t confirmed that they were dating, so how could Anderson have known.

”You might not believe it if I told you, but apart from Ailin, I have never taken any other woman to any of my appointments, whether for business or for pleasure. That evening, when Anderson saw you, he asked me in French who you were, and I told him just a female friend; then he asked if he could pursue you, and I immediately told him no, because you were mine.” Leng Zimo’s expression was earnest, his palm tenderly caressing her face, ”I think, around that time, I must have already fallen for you, even if I hadn’t realized it myself.”

”You mean, the girl Anderson mentioned, ’your girlfriend,’ is me?!” Luo Xiaoqian asked.
