After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 371: Chapter 372: Wearing Pajamas

After a moment, Leng Zimo slowly let her go.

”I’m leaving now!”

”I’ll walk you out!”

”No need,” Leng Zimo looked up, gently pinching her little face, ”I don’t want anyone else to see you in your pajamas again.”

Luo Xiaoqian’s cheeks flushed, ”Then I’ll walk you to the elevator.”

This time, Leng Zimo didn’t refuse. Carrying his luggage in one hand and holding her hand with the other, they walked towards the elevator.

”I’ve instructed Ailin to stay behind to handle some donation-related affairs. You don’t have to linger here. Go back to Beijing with her tonight, and I’ll pick you up at the airport.”

Luo Xiaoqian was busy declining, ”No, just have the driver pick me up, you wait at home for me.”

He’d been so tired these past two days, she couldn’t bear the thought of making him drive to the airport to pick her up and wasn’t at ease either.

”Okay!” Leng Zimo entered the elevator, ”See you tonight!”

Luo Xiaoqian waved to him, ”See you tonight!”

The elevator doors slowly closed.

As the numbers on the elevator display changed, she lowered her hand, and the smile on her face gradually faded.

He had just left, so why did she suddenly miss him so much now?

As the numbers reached 1, she hurried to the end of the corridor, peered out halfway, and looked down. In just a moment, she saw a taxi slowly drive away from the hotel. Knowing that it must be his ride, Luo Xiaoqian stood by the window, watching the taxi merge into the traffic and disappear from view, remaining lost in thought for a long time.

In love!

She was in a relationship with the man she had once admired the most!

Even now, she still felt as if she was dreaming.

It wasn’t until the cleaning staff came along that Luo Xiaoqian snapped back to reality and hurriedly rushed into her room to wash and change clothes.

By the time she had gotten ready, Yu Tong had also returned with Xiao Zhou. Knowing that the school and the village were fine, Luo Xiaoqian could set her mind at ease. She grabbed her bag and left for the hospital with Yu Tong, picking up some clothes and gifts for Zhou Xiaomei along the way.

By the time the two arrived at the hospital, the village chief had already made it there, showering them with endless gratitude.

At that moment, Ailin, who had taken Leng Zimo to the airport, had also hurried back and pulled Luo Xiaoqian aside, retrieving a check from her purse.

”This is from President Leng for you,” Ailin said, ”President Leng instructed that out of this one million, half a million is his and your donation, and the other half will be donated in Mr. Jiao Yang’s name. President Leng said it’s as if it’s for the coat he bought. How and to whom the money is donated is for you to decide!”

Receiving the check and looking at Leng Zimo’s signature, Luo Xiaoqian nodded solemnly.

After pondering for a moment, she turned and walked back into the room, handing the check to the village chief.

”This one million is a donation from President Leng Zimo and Mr. Jiao Yang, who previously helped save Xiao Mei. I’m entrusting it to you now. Use it to build a health clinic in the town. If the money isn’t enough, I’ll send you more once I’m back in Beijing!”

This time, Zhou Xiaomei had been lucky, benefiting from their presence at the elementary school. What about next time, if another child falls ill? Would they be so fortunate again?!

Participating in the ”Books to the Mountains” initiative, Luo Xiaoqian had already realized that besides education, the biggest challenge in the village was healthcare access. Like the elementary school they stayed at, there was no decent clinic for several neighboring villages. She believed many people would tackle disaster relief, but she wanted these funds to be used where they were most needed.
