After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 362: Chapter 363: Why Can’t I?

This sentence wasn’t a reproach at all!

He had intended to let her rest properly, but she shouldn’t have kissed him.

His willpower was already limited in her presence, let alone when she took the initiative to flirt.

Luo Xiaoqian understood what he meant, and even though her heartbeat was thunderous and her breathing was rapid, she didn’t let go of his arm. Instead, she tightened her hold.

The two of them were so close, of course she could feel the changes in his body, and besides, this time she was willing.

Tonight, she didn’t want to leave him!

She didn’t speak, but her arms already gave the answer.

Leng Zimo lifted his hand and pinched the button on her pajamas.

...

...

Dong dong dong!

Just then, a knocking sound—polite and rhythmic—interrupted rudely.

Luo Xiaoqian, startled, straightened up from his embrace and covered her parted pajamas hurriedly.

”Who is it?!”

Leng Zimo’s palm was still on her, his tone conveying thin anger and impatience from being disturbed.

”It’s me, Jiao Yang!”

From outside, Jiao Yang’s voice clearly made its way in.

”What is it?”

Recognizing Jiao Yang’s voice, Leng Zimo’s tone grew even more displeased.

In the dead of night, Jiao Yang knocking on his door was definitely deliberate.

”It’s something!”

Jiao Yang’s voice from outside sounded lazy but carried an undertone of stubbornness. He didn’t seem ready to leave, as if they would have to open the door or he would never go.

Luo Xiaoqian, her face flushed, pulled Leng Zimo’s hand away and quickly did up her buttons.

Reaching out to rebutton her underwear, Leng Zimo carefully helped her secure the ones near the neckline tightly, scrutinized her one more time to ensure there were no revealing spots, and then turned to open the door.

The door.

Opened.

Outside stood Jiao Yang, clad in a simple T-shirt and house shorts, carrying a set of sports attire.

His gaze swept over Leng Zimo’s half-naked body, to Luo Xiaoqian who was held in his arms, her cheeks crimson and eyes dodging, hair visibly tousled; a flash of surprise crossed Jiao Yang’s eyes, but his face still held a devilish smile.

”Oh, Xiao Qian is here too?”

”Yes, I...”

Luo Xiaoqian began to speak in a low and gravelly voice.

”What’s the matter?”

Leng Zimo cut to the chase.

”Oh, it’s like this, I knew you didn’t bring luggage, so I brought a set of clothes over. If President Leng doesn’t mind, you could make do with them for a day,” Jiao Yang said, extending the sportswear in his hands.

Luo Xiaoqian was hastily shaking her hand, ”No need...”

With Leng Zimo’s temper, how could he possibly wear another man’s clothes?

”Thanks,” Leng Zimo nevertheless reached out and took the sportswear, ”Bye!” Then he attempted to close the door.

Jiao Yang’s hand pressed against the door, ”I have a few words I’d like to say to Xiao Qian!”

”It’s too late; it’s not convenient,” Leng Zimo said.

”You two can chat this late; why can’t I?” Jiao Yang ignored the chill in his eyes, his gaze staying on Luo Xiaoqian with a smile, ”Right, Xiao Qian?”

Leng Zimo spoke again, ”We...”

”We were just discussing work!” Luo Xiaoqian said as she bent down to pick up the room card that had fallen to the floor earlier and dashed out from between the two men, ”Both of you, we’ll talk tomorrow. Good night!”

She ran straight to her room, swiped her card to open the door, and without looking back, escaped inside.

”I won’t disturb President Leng’s rest anymore,” Jiao Yang withdrew his hand from the door and turned to leave.

”She’s mine!” Leng Zimo said behind him, his voice deep as he uttered four resolute words.
