After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 134: Chapter 134: I Will Not Admit Defeat

”So, what would you like to perform?” Han Jun asked.

”I’ve already sung and danced, I want to perform an instrumental piece for everyone!” Shen Xinyi said.

”What instrument?”

”I would like to perform the violin piece ’Butterfly Lovers’!”

”How about you, Xiao Qian?” This time, it was Ouyang Qing who asked Luo Xiaoqian.

Luo Xiaoqian took a deep breath and spoke in as calm a voice as she could, ”I’ll perform a guitar and vocal rendition of Xu Wei’s ’Blue Lotus’!”

In the PK segment, the contestants of course knew that to deal with a situation like this, each of them had come prepared. Luo Xiaoqian was no exception, but originally, she had prepared a piano piece; now that her hand was injured, she could only switch to a guitar performance at the last moment.

Ouyang Qing smiled and said, ”Another classic song, I’m really looking forward to it!”

At this moment, Shen Xinyi glanced at Luo Xiaoqian beside her and deliberately displayed full generosity, ”Xiao Qian has an injury on her hand, how about I perform first, and let her deal with her wound first?”

”Alright, let us listen to this classic violin piece ’Butterfly Lovers.’ Luo Xiaoqian, you may leave the stage for now to treat your wound, and we look forward to another brilliant performance from you!”

Bowing to the audience, Luo Xiaoqian turned and walked off the stage.

Her back was straight as an arrow.

Even if the whole world doubted her, she was conscience-clear.

The staff brought over a violin, and Shen Xinyi began her performance.

Sitting in the judges’ seat, Leng Zimo watched as her figure disappeared at the stage exit, his fists clenched tighter.

Backstage.

Xu Xia, Tong Ya, and others had already approached Luo Xiaoqian. Xu Xia pulled her over to sit on a chair, while Tong Ya opened a first-aid kit to treat her wound.

”Oh my God, it’s so deep, how did this happen?” Xu Xia, looking at Luo Xiaoqian’s almost entirely blood-red right hand, was so distressed she was nearly in tears.

Yet Luo Xiaoqian just sat in the chair, letting them clean her wound, the alcohol stinging fiercely, but she seemed utterly unfazed.

Tong Ya, seeing the depth of the wound on her hand, furrowed his brow too, ”With such a deep wound, it’s best to go to the hospital for treatment, right?”

”Yes, let’s go to the hospital right away!” Xu Xia immediately grabbed her arm, trying to help her up from the chair.

”I won’t go!” Luo Xiaoqian sat still in her chair, ”I still have to compete!”

”How can that be possible, in this state, what else is there to compete for?” Xu Xia panicked, ”Such a deep wound, if not treated properly, it could affect your piano playing later!”

”Teacher, please help me bandage it tighter. Later on, I will have to play the piano!” Luo Xiaoqian said softly.

”You’re crazy!” Xu Xia grabbed her shoulders, ”Let’s not compete, screw this competition, we don’t need this first place...”

”Why should I!” Luo Xiaoqian shook off her hand, ”I won’t give up!”

Without anyone’s help, she grabbed the bandage herself, hastily wrapping her still-bleeding fingers. Tong Ya, looking at her expression, silently took the tape and helped her seal the bandages.

At this time, applause had already erupted from the front stage; Shen Xinyi’s performance had ended.

Taking a wooden guitar passed to her by a member of the staff, Luo Xiaoqian took a deep breath and once again walked onto the stage.

In the center of the stage, a microphone had already been prepared for her.

She walked over, gave a slight bow, and lifted her hand to take the pick from the head of the guitar, then began her strumming and singing.
