After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 122: Chapter 122 Rehearsal

Today, the ”Huaxia Idol” Beijing Competition Area semifinals officially took place.

Until this day, there had been absolutely no revelation about the judges, especially EM, which set this show apart from the usual talent shows that tended to leak some rumors intentionally; the entire rehearsal plan was kept completely under wraps.

This strategy of ”hunger marketing” certainly whetted the appetite of all the journalists and viewers.

Everyone was guessing, who could the guest be?

Everyone wanted to know, exactly how this semifinal round would proceed.

...

Early in the morning, outside Studio One, many journalists and fans had already rushed over, crowding the entrance beyond capacity.

When EM’s motorcade arrived, everyone cheered and ran over, unfurling banners and raising the signs in their hands, while photographers snapped away incessantly.

”Xinyi Xinyi I love you, Xinyi you must take first place!”

”Luo Xiaoqian, keep going!”

”Xu Xia, I will support you forever!”

...

Fans waved flags and signs in their hands, shouting the names of the singers they supported.

”Xiao Qian, did you hear that, someone is shouting my name!” Xu Xia excitedly stood up, blew kisses towards the fans outside the window, and, noticing a photo of Luo Xiaoqian, she immediately reminded her loudly, ”Qian, look quickly, that’s your photo, those are your fans ah...”

Luo Xiaoqian pressed her face against the window and, sure enough, saw a few young girls holding up enlarged photos of her. Seeing her, they waved excitedly.

Looking at those unfamiliar yet young faces, Luo Xiaoqian was touched, busy waving back at them.

”All this excitement just for a few fans?”

Off to the side, Shen Xinyi spoke in an indifferent tone, her gaze sweeping over her own fans but couldn’t hide a flash of pride in her eyes.

Without waiting for the bus to come to a complete stop, she was the first to jump off and waved to the fans and journalists who were stopped outside the barrier gate.

”Manners!” Xu Xia rolled her eyes at her retreating figure.

”Alright, let’s get off!” Luo Xiaoqian said with a smile, pulling her off the bus.

Together, everyone headed to the second-floor studio. After several days of effort, all the preparation work had been completed, and what was happening now was the final check. Ailin and Tong Ya were already waiting on stage.

Upon seeing everyone come in, they immediately directed them to begin the rehearsal.

”This time, it will be our last rehearsal. You’ll have the afternoon to yourselves, but to avoid any unnecessary trouble, I’d like you all to stay in the studio and not to leave!”

The evening would be the official competition, and for the afternoon, she had reserved time for the contestants to rest and prepare.

After all, this was a competition, not an actual performance, rehearsals were important but needed to be kept in moderation; otherwise, if the contestants were too exhausted, they might not perform to standard in the actual competition.

”Now, everyone go backstage and prepare, we’ll officially begin the rehearsal in half an hour!”

Ailin waved her hand lightly, and everybody immediately moved in an orderly fashion towards the backstage.

Since it was a rehearsal, everyone needed to do makeup, get into costume, and all the lighting, sound, and other facilities had to be tested thoroughly to ensure that everything was prepared to the best possible standard.

As expected of a large company making a significant investment, even arranging for five professional makeup artists and several dress assistants for these contestants.

As soon as everyone entered backstage, staff members approached them promptly, arranging for the contestants to take their seats and get ready.
