After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 108: Chapter 108: Ten Years? Twenty Years? Or Forever?!

The car drove down the ring road and then approached the entrance of an office building.

Leng Zimo’s car entered as if no one else was around, the security guard took one glance at the license plate and shrank back, and the black sedan nonchalantly stopped at the front gate of the office building.

”Get out of the car!”

Leng Zimo opened the door and stepped out, Luo Xiaoqian didn’t know why he had brought her here, but obediently followed suit, stepping out of the car and following behind him.

On-duty staff members greeted them with smiles, ”Young Master Leng, it’s so late, why have you come?”

”Where is he?” Leng Zimo asked indifferently.

”Upstairs. He hasn’t been idle for these hours, you ordered us to take good care of him, how could we neglect him?” The young man diligently led them upstairs and opened the door to a room.

Inside the room, which was not small, a man was lying curled up on the cold floor, light-colored shirt stained with conspicuous large footprints and bloodstains. Around him, several men were rolling up their sleeves, one of them still holding a belt in his hand.

Obviously, the earlier ”take good care of him” was definitely meant ironically.

Luo Xiaoqian glanced inside and then averted her eyes.

She was not fond of such a bloody scene.

”Young Master Leng!”

Seeing Leng Zimo, several men approached courteously, offering cigarettes and seats, one of them even picked up a bucket from the ground and splashed cold water onto the man who had been beaten and was lying on the floor.

The man startled awake from the cold water, his eyes scanned the room from underneath disheveled hair, then fixed on Leng Zimo standing above him, a sinister rage flashing in his eyes, yet he quickly scrambled up from the floor and crawled on his knees to Leng Zimo.

”Young Master Leng, I was wrong, please, spare me...”

Hearing that familiar voice, Luo Xiaoqian turned her face abruptly.

Underneath the disordered hair, Lu Hao’s face was already covered in various wounds, she would almost not recognize him if she didn’t look closely.

”Beg her!”

Leng Zimo spoke coldly.

Lu Hao immediately turned his face, turning towards Luo Xiaoqian.

”Xiao Qian, Xiao Qian I’m begging you, I know, I’m a piece of trash, a scumbag, please don’t hold a grudge, think of me as nothing and let me go, please... otherwise, you can hit me...”

He reached out trying to grab Luo Xiaoqian’s hand, but she instinctively stepped back.

”Don’t touch her!”

Leng Zimo’s foot flew out, one kick sent Lu Hao tumbling away.

As if, he was kicking a bag of trash!

”I know I don’t deserve to be hit by you, I’ll hit myself...” Lu Hao, enduring the pain, got up again and kneeled in front of Luo Xiaoqian. This time, however, he did not dare to get closer, let alone touch her. Instead, he raised his hand and repeatedly slapped his own face, ”Xiao Qian, I was wrong, I deserve to die... please, I’m begging you, for old times’ sake... no, because we’re from the same hometown, classmates... please spare me this once!”

Luo Xiaoqian looked down at him, feeling not hate, but doubt in her heart.

This man kneeling on the ground, slapping his own face, begging her repeatedly, he felt so strange to her.

What had she ever liked about him?!

How could she have fallen for such a person, and for ten years no less?!

She was so foolish, so dumb, so naive!

She didn’t hate him, she only hated herself!

”How long do you want... ten years? Twenty years? Or forever?!” Leng Zimo asked.

Of course, he was not asking Lu Hao, but Luo Xiaoqian.

With just one word from her, Lu Hao’s fate would be sealed.
