After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 115: Chapter 115 I’m Not a Porcelain Doll

Firing Lin Luoshi wasn’t because of Luo Xiaoqian, but he came because of her.

Luo Xiaoqian quickly grabbed her phone and stuffed it into her pocket, a happy expression all over her small face, ”Well, thank you for bringing my phone to me!”

No matter his reason, at least with Tiger Lin gone, she had one less person’s mood to worry about, and rehearsal would meet less resistance.

Seeing her smiling face, Leng Zimo’s expression also softened, ”Go get ready. During the competition, I won’t be giving you any special treatment!”

”I don’t need any special treatment from you, just don’t put up any roadblocks for me!” Luo Xiaoqian stuck out her tongue at him, making a silly face, and turned to walk back to the studio.

Leng Zimo stepped forward to leave when suddenly the door beside him was pushed open from inside, and Luo Xiaoqian’s little head popped out.

”What is it?” he asked with a puzzled lift of his brows, ”Anything else?”

”No, I just wanted to tell you that when you smile, you look really sunny and very handsome. See you tonight!” Waving at him, she turned and disappeared behind the door.

Had he smiled?

Leng Zimo raised a hand to touch his face and glanced sideways at the decorative mirror strips on the edge of the door.

Sunny?

That word hadn’t been used on him by many people for a long time!

”President Leng?” Ailin, carrying a folder and accompanied by two assistants, came over. Spotting Leng Zimo standing by the door, touching his face with a strange expression, she walked over with concern, ”Are you feeling unwell?”

”No!” Leng Zimo returned to his usual cool demeanor, ”I’ve already fired Lin Luoshi. Get a new music director over here!”

”Yes!” Ailin immediately agreed, without even asking why.

At Emperor View, such occurrences were not rare; even many big stars had at times been abruptly dismissed by him. For Leng Zimo, firing a minor music director was nothing out of the ordinary.

Luo Xiaoqian returned to underneath the stage, and Xu Xia immediately approached her, ”How does it feel, getting close to your idol? Are you all star-struck?”

”What nonsense!” Luo Xiaoqian’s face turned slightly red.

”Look at you, your face is red and you say there’s nothing?” Xu Xia teased her ambiguously, nudging her arm, ”Come on, tell me, what did he say to you? Gosh, that guy really lives up to the name Emperor Leng, he was all commanding presence earlier, wasn’t he? So cool, just plain dashing!”

”He didn’t say much, just told me to prepare well for the competition!” Luo Xiaoqian said, half-truthfully.

Because she was lying, her ears started to feel hot again.

Noticing the corner of a bandage peeking out from under her hair, Xu Xia immediately reached out, lifting her hair, ”Your...”

...

”Your ear is red!”

...

For some reason, that reminded her of something Leng Zimo had said.

”It’s just because I’m hot, and when I get hot, my ears turn red!” she explained hastily, thinking Xu Xia had noticed something off.

”What?” Xu Xia, looking at the bandage on her forehead, ”I was asking about the wound on your forehead, what happened?”

Luo Xiaoqian breathed a sigh of relief internally; she thought as much, Xu Xia was nowhere near as perceptive as Leng Zimo.

”It’s nothing, just tripped going downstairs!”

She hadn’t mentioned the incident with Lu Hao because there was no way she could explain such things to Xu Xia.

”No wonder you were late!” Xu Xia said, supporting her shoulder with concern, eyeing her face, ”You didn’t hurt yourself too badly, did you?”

Luo Xiaoqian gave her a look, ”I’m not a porcelain doll!”
