After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 130: Chapter 130: I Haven’t Given a Rating Yet

Everything was going smoothly.

However, when Luo Xiaoqian played the final triplet, her fingers had already moved to the end of the piano. As her fingers struck down, the blade of the knife hidden between two keys also flashed a cold light.

Her finger landed on the blade, and a cut immediately appeared. Under the sharp pain, Luo Xiaoqian instinctively withdrew her right hand.

The incident was so sudden that Luo Xiaoqian was stunned for a second as she looked at her bleeding finger.

At that moment, the camera in front of the piano was aimed at her side face, displaying her frowning expression for everyone to see.

Listening to the interrupted piano sound, Leng Zimo furrowed his brow and looked towards the stage.

What the hell is this girl doing?

This performance was her best one yet, why did it break off?!

The strings section began, pushing the entire piece towards its climax, and the sound of the music violently pulled Luo Xiaoqian’s thoughts back.

The auxiliary lights beneath the stage just happened to sweep over the mentors’ area, and she caught sight of Leng Zimo. Although he was far away, and she couldn’t see his face clearly, she distinctly felt his piercing gaze.

...

”What if you hold a concert in the future, or what if you sing fast songs and dance? Are you going to tell your fans to wait for me for ten minutes because I need to rest?”

...

With gritted teeth, her fingers landed on the keys once again.

Then, she sang.

”You are my unspoken wound.

I want to forget, yet I can’t help but reminisce.

Like an exile, stumbling all along the way.

Your binding, impossible to release...”

With each finger connected to the heart, every time her injured fingers struck the keys, the pain was piercing, even staining the white keys with patches of blood red.

It was a shocking sight.

The cameraperson pushed the camera over, noticed the abnormality of the piano, and was startled. They immediately went for a close-up.

On the big screen, Luo Xiaoqian’s hands were displayed at once. Her right-hand fingers were already bloody, leaving a trail of blood wherever they touched.

The audience was shocked.

The hosts were shocked.

The contestants backstage, the directors, and the staff in the front were all stunned.

Leng Zimo felt the unusual atmosphere around him, turned to look at the big screen, and as he saw the blood on her hands, he abruptly stood up, his gaze falling on Luo Xiaoqian, who was simultaneously dancing and playing in front of the piano. He took a deep breath and then sat back down, clenching his fist.

Luo Xiaoqian, utterly unaware, did not realize the entire auditorium knew of her injury by now.

She just bit her teeth and persisted, singing the last lyric, playing the last note.

Standing up, clutching her injured fingers, she walked to the front of the piano and bowed to the audience.

”Luo Xiaoqian, are you alright?!”

The two hosts came running over, looking at her with concern.

Only then did the audience snap back to reality, and applause thundered throughout the venue.

Although no one knew why she was injured, she persevered and completed the entire piece with injuries. Everyone saw that, and even those audience members who had been somewhat critical of her were moved by her strength and dedication.

”I’m fine!”

Luo Xiaoqian pressed on her cut palm and returned a smile to the two of them.

Just as she turned her face, Leng Zimo from the judges’ table had already walked over quickly, took her left hand that was holding her right fingers away, and looked at the peeled skin on her pinky. He frowned, took a handkerchief from his own body, and wrapped her injured finger.

”Go backstage!”

”I haven’t been scored yet!” Luo Xiaoqian stood her ground without moving.

Eye-to-eye, he clearly saw the determination in her eyes.
