After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 106: Chapter 106 You’re Insane

The sound of knocking arose, and Leng Zimo deftly fastened the buttons of her hospital gown and straightened the blanket, ”Come in!”

The door swung open, and a young doctor with a gentle-looking face walked in smiling, holding several films in his hand. Seeing Luo Xiaoqian awake, he started with a smile, ”How do you feel? Any discomfort or symptoms like headache or dizziness?”

”No!” Luo Xiaoqian gently shook her head.

”That’s good; the films show no issues. In a moment, after the nurse has administered your IV, you can go home. But remember to rest well, and if you feel unwell at all, come to see me anytime. Also, come for another check-up in a week to be absolutely sure!” the young doctor said with a smile, pointing to his name badge, ”I am Shen Yizhou, the ’Shen’ from Shenyang and ’Yizhou’ as in a small boat!”

Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t help but laugh at his humor, ”Thank you, Doctor Shen!”

Watching her smile, Leng Zimo just frowned unhappily, ”Isn’t a full body check necessary?”

”No need for that, she just took a fall, and we have done all the necessary checks already!” Shen Yizhou smiled as he looked at Luo Xiaoqian, ”I’ve listened to your rendition of ’Empty Words’ online, it’s really good. I hope you do well in the next round of the competition!”

Leng Zimo spoke with a stern tone, ”You’re quite talkative today.”

”Seeing my idol, of course I have to say a little more!” Facing his intimidating aura, Shen Yizhou was not affected in the least, ”Xiao Qian, go for it, I believe in you!”

”Thank you!” Luo Xiaoqian thanked him again.

Shen Yizhou glanced at Leng Zimo, who had turned from partly cloudy to overcast, and tactfully chose not to continue, ”Then you rest up; I have other patients to see!”

As Shen Yizhou turned and left, the smile on Luo Xiaoqian’s face faded.

She was already stressed to the max just with the competition; now she had to think about moving too. It would be odd if she weren’t worried.

Her hand suddenly started to hurt.

Turning her head in confusion, she saw Leng Zimo’s hand on the IV line’s adjustment knob.

Luo Xiaoqian looked up puzzled, and in the small drop bottle on the IV line, the liquid medicine had already formed a continuous stream.

”Are you crazy!” she exclaimed in panic.

What was he doing, turning up the IV speed so high!?

Leng Zimo abruptly pushed the knob to the minimum, ”From now on, you’re not allowed to joke and laugh with other men in front of me!”

Luo Xiaoqian’s gaze fell on his ashen face, and she suddenly felt like laughing.

Was that jealousy on his face?!

”Not even when I’m not around!” he added before she could reply.

”Got it!”

Luo Xiaoqian answered indolently.

Then she inwardly laughed at herself for even thinking of the word ’jealousy.’

A pet showing tail-flicking affection to others would certainly displease an owner; that’s probably all it was!

The nurse came in and, upon seeing Leng Zimo, a flash of excitement passed through her eyes, but she didn’t dare to strike up a conversation because of his imposing presence. She snuck glances at him while setting up the IV, and her hand stayed on Luo Xiaoqian’s arm, her gaze covertly fixated on Leng Zimo.

”Could you please let go? If you press any harder, my hand is going to be ruined!” Luo Xiaoqian reminded her, clearly annoyed.

She didn’t mind the nurse’s infatuation, but really, there was no need to clasp onto her vein just to steal a few more glances at her idol!

The nurse’s eyes flashed with displeasure, but she smiled at Leng Zimo and promptly turned to leave the room.

”Crazy fan!” Luo Xiaoqian threw the words out bluntly.

Seeing her expression, Leng Zimo’s face, which had been overcast until now, showed signs of clearing, ”Change your clothes, I’m taking you to meet someone!”
