After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 32: Chapter 32 Cold Medicine

At that moment, Leng Zimo had already wrapped himself in a bath towel and stepped out of the shower, taking another towel off the rack and reaching out to her again.

”I can do it myself!” She retreated into the bathtub.

”Fine,” Leng Zimo turned and walked to one side, arms crossed.

This man was doing it on purpose, wasn’t he? He was holding the towel in his hand, and to get it, she would have to stand up.

Looking at the towel in his hands, Luo Xiaoqian felt nothing but gritted her teeth in anger.

”Get out, and leave the towel!”

Leng Zimo turned a deaf ear.

”That... When under someone’s roof, one must bow to them.” Luo Xiaoqian really didn’t have the courage to stand up in front of him. She gritted her teeth in secret, consoling all of Leng Zimo’s female relatives in her heart and tried her best to soften her voice, ”Please, give me the towel and then, could you wait outside the door?”

After placing the towel on the rack by the tub, he turned and walked out the door.

Listening to his receding footsteps, Luo Xiaoqian struggled to her feet, hastily covered her body with the towel, locked the bathroom door behind her, and breathed a sigh of relief. She then carefully dried her body with the towel and put on a clean bathrobe from the rack.

It was a man’s bathrobe, far too large for her. She wrapped it tightly around herself and tied the belt into two tight knots before cautiously stepping out.

By the bedside, Leng Zimo had long since changed into a fresh set of clothes, well put-together.

”Wait for me!”

Everything happened just like the last time.

However, this time he hadn’t left any clothes for her.

Leaving behind two words, Leng Zimo strode out the door.

This time, Luo Xiaoqian did not flee.

Firstly, she knew she couldn’t escape.

Secondly, she had no way to flee.

Was she really going to run out into the streets in nothing but a man’s bathrobe?

Lifting the thin quilt, she quickly dove under it, curling up like a baby.

Exhaustion coupled with fever, she soon fell into a drowsy sleep.

In her haze, she suddenly felt a coolness on her forehead.

She opened her eyes in surprise to see the soft dim light and Leng Zimo’s sculpture-like profile. Luo Xiaoqian subconsciously touched her forehead and felt the chill of a fever-reducing patch.

”Take your medicine!”

He handed her water and a pill from the bottle cap.

He had gone to get her medicine?

Luo Xiaoqian was somewhat surprised.

In the depths of her heart, warmth naturally bubbled up.

Ever since her mother fell ill, it had been countless years since anyone had taken care of her like this.
