After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 24: Chapter 24 The Hero Who Saves the Beauty

On that person’s chest, there was a faint scent of chocolate, a scent that seemed familiar.

”Who the hell dares to hit me!” Lin Shaocong cursed as he climbed up from the ground. When he saw the face of the man holding Luo Xiaoqian, his ferocity instantly turned into an ingratiating smile, ”Brother Zimo, what brings you here...”

”Get lost!”

Leng Zimo coldly spat out a single word.

Zimo?

Leng Zimo?!

Luo Xiaoqian lifted her face to look at the man in front of her. Seeing his icy and handsome face, she instantly felt like she had fallen from Heaven into Hell.

She had said it before, a hero saving the damsel in distress was something that only happened in novels and movies.

In reality, there were no heroes saving damsels; it was more like she had escaped the wolf’s den only to enter a tiger’s lair!

If she had a choice, she would rather be slapped by Lin Shaocong than see Leng Zimo before her.

Seeing the repulsion in her eyes, Leng Zimo’s brows tightened even more.

He had just saved her, and she didn’t even say thank you. Instead, she looked as though she couldn’t wait to be thousands of miles away from him. Did she think he carried the plague?

His gaze fell on the camisole dress she was wearing. He raised an eyebrow, took off his suit jacket, draped it over her, took her by the arm, and led her into a private room across the way, pushing her straight into the restroom inside.

”Go clean yourself up!”

Clean up, and then what, be at his disposal?!

Luo Xiaoqian’s eyes quickly swept around the restroom—she didn’t find anything that could be used as a weapon. Listening to the music coming from outside, she pursed her lips and carefully cracked the door open a sliver.

Through the gap, she saw Leng Zimo sitting on the sofa opposite, pinching a wine glass in his hand.

She took a deep breath, slipped off her high heels, and watched as he brought the glass to his lips. At that moment, she flung the door open, grabbed her shoes, and dashed out, running all the way out of the private room.

Watching the door of the private room slam shut, Leng Zimo on the sofa gripped the wine glass in his hand fiercely.

Damn girl, escaping again?!

”Ha!” Leng Zirui suddenly burst out laughing from the side, ”This girl is interesting. Hey, big brother, why aren’t you chasing her?”

Chase?

Why should he chase her? Anyway, she wouldn’t be able to run away!

Leng Zimo gave a cold laugh, ignored him, and quickly dialed a number, ordering, ”Keep an eye on the girl, ensure she gets home safely, then come back!”

Then, he dialed another number, ”Luo Xiaoqian, the singer at the Golden Palace bar, fire her immediately!”

His assets were astoundingly numerous, and Golden Palace was just one of them.

”Tsk tsk!” Leng Zirui moved closer with a mischievous smile, ”First you lose your cool over a beauty, then you protect her every step of the way. It seems, big brother, that your relationship with this girl is quite unusual, isn’t she your girlfriend? It looks like you two had an argument...”

”Enough!” Leng Zimo interrupted him, ”Did grandfather send you here?”

”Half and half. One half was grandfather, and the other half was me wanting to come!” Leng Zirui sprawled lazily on the sofa, ”Sure enough, it’s more comfortable in the city. We are brothers from the same mother, you cold-blooded creature might not miss me, but I do miss you!”

”If you like the city so much, why stay in the suburbs?” Leng Zimo hit him where it hurt.

”In the suburbs, at most there are mosquitoes, but in the city, there’s grandfather!” Leng Zirui chuckled, ”You being a big brother never come home; I sure don’t want to be the scapegoat!”

Leng Zimo raised an eyebrow, ”You’re so obedient, and he still takes it out on you?”
