After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 15: Chapter 15 You’ve Got the Wrong Number

Then, he watched her struggle to pull him up, watched her turn her face to the side as she undid his buttons...

When she cautiously stuffed his hand inside her own clothing, Leng Zimo’s lips and tongue became parched once again.

Smack!

Leng Zimo abruptly closed the laptop screen.

He had never lacked for women in his life, due to his outstanding looks and status. Since elementary school, he had been receiving all sorts of love confessions, and after entering the entertainment industry, beauties swarmed around him like flies—unshakeable—until an incident with a female star kissing his face led to his being sidelined. Only then did the situation slightly improve, but still, various women sought to approach him.

Compared to those women, Luo Xiaoqian was too green, so inexperienced she didn’t even know how to kiss.

Damn it!

He actually wanted to kiss her again!

Lifting his hand, he grabbed the coffee cup on the desk and downed the once-again cooled coffee in one gulp.

His gaze swept over to the desk, to Luo Xiaoqian’s application form, and he set down the cup heavily, picked up the phone, and dialed her mobile number.

...

...

Inside a cramped apartment unit.

Luo Xiaoqian had just walked out of the bathroom when she heard her phone buzzing vibrantly.

While drying her wet hair with a towel, she answered the call without even glancing at the number on the screen.

”Hello, who is this?”

”I need to see you!”

From the receiver, an imperious voice thundered as though an Emperor commanded.

His tone implied that to see her was, for her, a favor.

”Who are you? You’ve got the wrong number, right?!” Luo Xiaoqian stopped drying her hair.

”Empire Building, 1314!” The voice on the other end grew colder.

Upon hearing the words ’Empire Building’, Luo Xiaoqian instantly realized who it was.

Startled, the towel slipped silently from her hands.

Swallowing hard, she tried to calm herself down, ”I think, there’s no need for us to meet again.”

On the other end, the man was silent.

Luo Xiaoqian felt a chill creep up her back and subconsciously tightened the bath towel around her.

”Show up in front of me within one hour, or bear the consequences!”

After tossing out this command, Leng Zimo hung up the phone without hesitation.

”Hello...”

Luo Xiaoqian screamed into the phone, only to be greeted by the dial tone.

”Who do you think you are, truly fancying yourself the Emperor? As if every word you say is an edict. An hour and consequences befalling me—WHO is afraid of WHO? I simply will not go. If you dare, send your Imperial Guards to arrest me!”

Sitting on the couch, Luo Xiaoqian angrily tossed her phone aside and continued to dry her hair.

Three seconds later.

She screamed, leaped up from the sofa, dashed to the bedroom, yanked open the wardrobe, and haphazardly grabbed clothing, swiftly dressing herself.

Her ID card, her wallet, her bank card... they were all in his hands.

The ID card could be reissued, and she could borrow money, but her wallet contained the only photo of her father. If it was lost, it could never be retrieved!

Five minutes later, Luo Xiaoqian burst out of her home like a whirlwind, sprinting through the neighborhood at the speed of a hundred-meter dash. She reached the roadside and hailed a taxi.

Although right now she had only a little over two hundred yuan in her pocket, she could no longer worry about that.

Arriving at the Empire Building’s entrance, she paid the fare, and Luo Xiaoqian’s pockets once again became severely slimmed down.

”You must remember to get your wallet back, or next month all you’ll be able to afford is steamed buns and noodles!”
