I Am Your Natural Enemy

Today, Wen Yan truly experienced what it means to make decisions in small meetings and give notifications in large ones.

He really thought that the General Director was just casually asking for his opinion in private, but unexpectedly, during the meeting, he saw that the agenda included the content he had suggested.

And it wasn’t asking everyone whether to proceed like this, but directly asking everyone’s opinions on how to implement it specifically, focusing only on questions of detail.

Wen Yan was a bit dumbfounded when he received the meeting outline.

Not that he was belittling himself, but he genuinely felt that with his realm in the Martial Path, offering suggestions privately was fine, but on major issues, he truly felt that his opinions shouldn’t be that important.

To put it forcefully, he only felt that his suggestions happened to align closely with those of other leaders.

To have the capacity to influence the general direction in such scenarios requires at least a leader at the Martial Path Fifth Stage.

The stages of the Martial Path are realms, and don’t necessarily correlate completely with actual combat strength.

In terms of pure power, not many who have cultivated to the Martial Path Fifth Stage can measure up to Qin Kun.

For reference data, the most straightforward measure is the mastery and understanding of power, which is at a completely different level.

Just like in the past with Cai Heizi, his pure physical strength couldn’t compare to his Senior Brother Qin, yet Cai Heizi managed to instantly defeat a Night Vigil Deity over ten meters tall.

Senior Brother Qin could never have done that.

And as for the basic entry-level textbooks, truth be told, the difficulty in compiling them is much higher than the content of the Second, Third, and even Fourth Stages.

Indeed, only seniors with higher realms can view the initial entry-level content from a higher, deeper perspective, considering not just the content but also the subsequent cultivation in the Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Stages.

This is about laying the foundation and direction; those who haven’t reached the Fifth Stage can only imagine the possibilities.

Similarly, regarding this topic, the Scorching Sun Department didn’t even consult with Tuoba Martial God, who theoretically had the strongest power.

This is because, purely in terms of realm, even Zhang Xuewen’s realm isn’t as high as Wen Yan’s.

At least Wen Yan has already reached the Third Stage and has been paving his own path since then.

Indeed, Wen Yan felt a bit uncertain; if it were just about showing off in front of peers, he wouldn’t mind, and might even outdo the other party if they got into the spirit of boasting.

But if it affected the entry of new petty martial artists in the future, he felt somewhat anxious at the thought of leading others astray.

He put down the outline and looked at the Old Celestial Master sitting opposite him, who gave him an encouraging smile.

Wen Yan felt reassured, thinking it might be that his views just coincided with those of other leaders.

Meanwhile, in another room, before the meeting officially began, the General Director was having a small meeting with the Wudang Sect Leader, the Mount Mao Sect Master, and others.

The discussion today was about matters related to the Martial Path, and this was considered the final preparatory mini-meeting.

”The suggestion here is indeed to simplify further; the requirements are too strict and difficult to popularize.

Even for those with decent talent, they could follow the path of sports students.

After all, the existing experiences show that the training methods and intensity for sports students and regular students are not at the same level.

The intention from above is that the grand era is approaching, and it’s highly unrealistic to expect the Scorching Sun Department and the Three Mountains and Five Ridges to handle everything as the main force.

Over eighty percent of the cases or events consist of low-threat incidents.

If these incidents can be stopped when they occur, the rate of them turning into malicious cases will plummet significantly.

Therefore, not everyone needs to be very strong, but we need to have the majority capable of entry-level engagement.

We don’t expect anyone to have extremely intense Yang Energy like Wen Yan.

But at least if out of every two people, one can possess enough natural Yang Energy to fend off the encroachment of ordinary Ghosts for a while.”

The General Director stated the requirement, and both the Wudang Sect Leader and the Mount Mao Sect Master furrowed their brows slightly.

The General Director spoke in a gentle tone but wasn’t discussing changing the direction.

”I know it’s difficult; I’m asking you esteemed senior experts to take on this challenge.”

”What does the Old Celestial Master say?” inquired the Mount Mao Sect Master.

”The Old Celestial Master said he isn’t proficient in the Martial Path. His opinion isn’t critical, but he also believes that preventing minor issues and raising the overall lower limit to elevate the average level is indeed much more effective than having ten more of him.”

”That boundless Heavenly Master, if you still talk about the average...” The Wudang Sect Leader clutched his chest, almost losing his breath.

If he had the ability to enhance the average level of over a billion people, even slightly, to just the entry-level of the Martial Path,

He’d dare to point at the Ancestor and say, ’Move aside, I’m taking the main seat,’ when he returned to Wudang.

The statue of the Ancestor would surely rise and offer him the main seat.

And the records of Wudang would be reopened, starting with him on the first page.

Besides, the Mount Mao Sect Master, at first, didn’t feel anything, but upon hearing the word ”average,” his face wrinkled up completely.

”Are you serious?”

”You know we’ve always liked to set long-term goals, and this is just a long-term goal.” The General Director himself felt slightly embarrassed, as the target set was somewhat high.

But the target is there, just strive towards it; achieve whatever level you can reach.
