Could I have arrived too early?

The Italian woman, whose beauty was nearly unbelievable, grew uneasy when the door didn’t open as she’d anticipated. A hint of panic crossed her face, and her body—standing over 1.7 meters tall with a near-perfect figure—began to tremble.

She didn’t know if the room was truly empty or if the respected figure inside was displeased with her. If it was the latter… Her beautiful eyes widened in terror, and a fresh wave of fear gripped her heart. Clenching her teeth, she reached out and knocked again. ”Good evening, sir. I am Apel Rizzo. Mr. Syria informed me to come here.”

She spoke in fluent English, having been specifically reminded to do so beforehand.

If anyone familiar with the name Apel Rizzo were present, they would hardly believe their eyes. This Italian woman was none other than one of the fashion world’s most sought-after superstars, a true ’charming angel’! She was the dream girl of countless men globally and even had significant fame in Hollywood, having starred as the leading lady in several hugely popular films. She might even take home a Golden Globe this year.

But now, this superstar, an award-winner at the ’Night of Angels,’ a supergirl, the goddess and dream lover of men worldwide, arrived at this place as helpless as a little lamb.

She resisted everything that was happening today, but there was nothing she could do. In Italy, the Brad Family was like a deity, capable of blotting out the sky with a single hand. Unless she was willing to face utter disgrace, or even a fate worse than death, she had no choice but to comply.

And just as Apel stood outside the still-closed door, biting her trembling lips so hard they nearly bled, a young man’s voice, tinged with resignation, finally spoke. ”Put on some clothes first.”

The voice pulled Apel from the pit of fear she had dug for herself, sounding to her like the voice of God himself. But she was momentarily startled by the words.

First... put on clothes?

”Take this. Put on the clothes before you come in.”

Just then, the door opened, and a luxurious woman’s nightgown, which had been prepared inside the room, was tossed out.

Apel caught the nightgown and hesitated for a long moment, but she eventually bit the bullet and put it on.

”Sir, I’m coming in,” she announced softly before carefully entering the room.

Once inside, she saw a young man, clearly of East Asian descent, sitting cross-legged on the soft bed. He was looking at her with a resigned expression, and in the dim light, she thought she could see a faint blush on his face.

Seeing this, Apel quickly discarded any improper thoughts. She cautiously approached the bed and, with her voice trembling slightly and her soft lips parted, said, ”S-Sir, hello. I’m Apel.”

Under normal circumstances, a superstar like her—a ’charming angel’ and supergirl—wouldn’t have been so nervous in front of a young East Asian man. After all, she had powerful support behind her, some of Italy’s top fashion companies.

But even those entities were nothing but ants before the colossal presence of the Brad Family, with no strength whatsoever to resist.

After all, a saying circulated in Italy: at least thirty percent of the nation’s industry bore the Brad name, a testament to the family’s terrifying power there.

Just under an hour ago, the majority shareholder of her company had suddenly approached her like a man possessed. Only then did she realize that such a behemoth was hidden within her own country.

After that, everything proceeded logically. To ensure that Chen Fei—the ’little monster’ who could annihilate Crimson Fang—would not be bored or feel neglected by the Brad Family, they had ’invited’ Apel, the superstar and ’charming angel’ who was so celebrated in public, to be here.

They knew that in China, there is an old saying: ”A gentle and lovely lady is a fine match for a gentleman.”

And it wasn’t just China; even Italian gentlemen would obviously prefer an Italian beauty with an alluring figure and breathtaking looks over an old fellow like Old Brad.

At least, that’s what both Old Brad and his head butler, Syria, seemed to believe.

As for whether Apel, the chosen target, was willing or might refuse—that was a question neither Old Brad nor the head butler would even consider. The logic was simple: in Italy, almost no one dared defy the will of the Brad Family.

Forget the many titles laden upon Apel, like superstar, charming angel, and supergirl, which made her the dream lover of countless men worldwide and a walking money-printer for her company. If she dared to defy the Brad Family’s will, the result would inevitably be a plunge into ’hell,’ abandoned by everyone around her. Her end would be unimaginably tragic.

Yet the Brad Family, with their immense wealth and power, treated this young man with obvious East Asian features as a distinguished guest, a respected visitor! How could this not astonish Apel?

She became even more humble and fearful, dreading that any clumsy action might upset him, that she might displease such a great personage… because Chen Fei was so young, young enough to be frightening.
