”Hiss! This is...”

One, two, three... A total of eight blazing Yanf Swords slowly materialized beside Chen Fei. Upon seeing this, everyone—from Amotig and the surrounding assassins to even Uncle Master Yama—was stunned. A hint of shock and horror appeared in their eyes.

”You... you just now... you weren’t even using your full strength!?” Amotig, covered in blood, trembled as he pointed at Chen Fei. He couldn’t believe this Easterner was so terrifying. To think their earlier fight hadn’t even pushed him to his limits!

As for the Crimson Fang assassins, who had already been scared half to death, they now felt a bone-deep chill creep up their spines.

After all, just a moment ago, this young Easterner had wielded only six of those bizarre Yanf Swords and had nearly killed Amotig, one of the Crimson Fang’s four aces. And now... a full eight of those strange and frightening Yanf Swords appeared before them. The implication was self-evident.

Could it be... that kid really has what it takes to fight our greatest, His Excellency Jack the Blade?

”You...”

It wasn’t just them; even Uncle Master Yama was momentarily at a loss for words. He had witnessed Chen Fei’s entire killing spree, from the Great Rift Valley of the Alps all the way here. That level of power was likely enough to dominate the Innate Early Stage.

And yet, he was now seeing that the kid still hadn’t used his full strength? This was... Uncle Master Yama’s expression changed slightly, and his gaze on Chen Fei became a mixture of incredulity and admiration. This kid is a true monster!

”Just now? I was merely playing with you. Otherwise, why do you think I’d have the guts to come here?” Chen Fei said, the corners of his mouth turning up in a slight smile upon hearing Amotig’s words.

WHOOSH!

With a slight raise of his hand, streams of searing flame carrying sharp Sword Qi swirled around him. They finally converged above his head, forming a burning Yanf Sword as thick as a grown man’s arm and instantly spreading a wave of intense heat.

The burning Yanf Sword was lively and eye-catching, almost like a beautiful decoration, but no one present, not even Uncle Master Yama, dared to underestimate it.

Because within that sword seemed to lie a terrifying power that instilled fear; even he felt a tinge of danger creeping into his heart.

”Damn it, this is simply...” Amotig stared at the burning Yanf Sword with horror and disbelief, his face trembling uncontrollably. He knew that if Chen Fei had revealed this power from the start, he wouldn’t have even had the right to resist and would already be a corpse.

But... why? How could this be? How old is this Easterner? How can he possess such terrifying strength that even an S-Level Superpower Powerhouse like me feels fear and can’t even muster the courage to resist? It’s so unfair... Oh God, why?!

HISS! HISS! HISS...

The Yanf Sword hovered above Chen Fei’s head, releasing scorching energy and sharp Sword Qi. With every flicker of its flames, Sword Qi surged out visibly, making the air hiss as it steamed. Wisps of green smoke curled up, causing the faces of the onlookers to pale in alarm.

A fierce will to fight began to burn in Chen Fei’s eyes, which were as black and clear as glass. He looked up and squinted at the emotionless old man in the cowboy hat—the only person present whose expression hadn’t changed. Then, he turned and smiled at the man beside him. ”Uncle Master Yama, let me take this one.”

”Are you sure?” Even after that display, Uncle Master Yama remained hesitant. He lowered his voice, ”With your current strength, it might still not be enough... Are you confident you can fight him?” Yes, it really isn’t enough.

In the eyes of the Crimson Fang assassins, and even an S-Level Superpower Powerhouse like Amotig, the power Chen Fei had displayed was terrifyingly dominant. But to an Innate Mid-Stage Expert like Yama, it was still slightly lacking... still not enough. Especially not against that legendary assassin!

In his mind, the legendary assassin Jack the Blade, whose fearsome reputation shook the entire world, was someone that even he had to be wary of. That was why he was still worried and hesitant.

”Confidence?” Chen Fei shook his head in response to Uncle Master Yama’s question. He slowly held out a trembling hand. ”I have no confidence. Even now, I can feel my hair standing on end and my whole body shaking.”

”Then why would you...” Uncle Master Yama couldn’t help but frown, his expression turning uneasy.

But before he could finish, Chen Fei interrupted with a laugh. He lifted his clear, black eyes and stared intently at the figure in the cowboy hat. His gaze turned fierce and his tone was defiant. ”But I will win! I came here to settle a score today. If I lose, how could I ever show my face again?”

The words caught in Uncle Master Yama’s throat, and a helpless, bitter smile appeared on his face. It seems my Senior Brother wasn’t wrong... this kid is as stubborn as a damn mule.

”...Cough. Win? I think you’ll die. Cough, cough...” Just then, Jack the Blade’s cold, trembling voice cut through the air. It was laden with a viscous, bloodthirsty killing intent that made everyone present shiver as a nameless dread surged through their hearts.

In that same instant, an indescribably chilling aura flowed from Jack the Blade’s withered, ancient body. It enveloped the entire area, constricting it, making everyone’s heart begin to twitch faintly. It was terrifying.

”Die? Perhaps I will. But it won’t be by your hand,” another, younger and more defiant voice suddenly rang out. A cold, mocking smile appeared on Chen Fei’s face. ”Your apprentice left his mark on me. It seems only fitting that you, his master, should atone for it.”

The next moment, a surging, scorching torrent of energy erupted from him. It transformed into countless thumb-sized streams of flame that swept forward like a storm, engulfing the area before him.

The battle ignited instantly, like magma from a volcanic eruption!

RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE...

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH...

The storm of flames looked beautiful, and it didn’t seem particularly fast, yet it gave off the staggering impression that it was impossible to evade. Even Jack the Blade narrowed his ancient eyes slightly. With a flick of his wrist, the silver blade in his hand began to emanate a thick, cold aura.

”Perhaps I need to teach you what unchallengeable authority means,” Jack the Blade murmured softly, his eyes still narrowed. With a light forward slash, the torrent of flame that had felt so inescapable was suddenly sliced apart.

Right after that, Jack the Blade’s hunched, aged figure vanished on the spot, as if he had disappeared into the darkness, causing Chen Fei’s pupils to contract sharply.

The very next moment, a chilling sensation shot through Chen Fei’s heart, and goosebumps erupted all over his skin. A faint silver light streaked toward him from behind. A suffocating sense of danger flooded his mind, making him roar inwardly as his body teleported away in a violent blur!

RIP!

A harsh tearing sound rang out. The cloth on his chest and arm was sliced open, revealing a faint trace of red beneath.

So strong. Chen Fei glared fiercely at the hunched, aged figure emerging from the darkness. An intense, immense pressure and a heavy burden settled on him. As expected of a legendary assassin from the underworld... He really is the real deal.

”...Cough, cough. If this is all you have, it will only take two or three more attempts for me to put a hole in your neck or your heart. Do you believe me? Cough, cough... cough...”

Yet, after executing such a terrifyingly swift attack, Jack the Blade acted as if it were nothing. He simply stared at Chen Fei with an indifferent, almost merciless gaze, and spoke in a faltering, hoarse voice.

Anyone who heard that tone, those merciless words, would feel a sudden chill down their spine. An unspeakable sense of dread welled up in their hearts. This was Jack the Blade, the Grim Reaper feared even by the assassins of the Crimson Fang.

”Perhaps you should defeat me before you say that. Otherwise... don’t you think that’s a bit of a joke?” Chen Fei suddenly spoke with a mocking smile. He opened his palm, revealing a small scrap of black fabric.

At this, everyone present—including Amotig and Uncle Master Yama—narrowed their eyes. Their gazes shot towards the hunched, ancient figure.

They saw that on Jack the Blade’s neck, a piece of his collar was now missing. Which meant...!?

”It seems I have underestimated you.” Jack the Blade’s hand rose, trembling, and brushed against the missing piece of collar on his shoulder. His hand quivered slightly. When he looked at Chen Fei again, his gaze and the words that slowly left his lips had grown heavy and cold.

”However, you will still die today!” The next moment, the old man’s expression turned frigid, and a guttural roar ripped from his throat.

Instantly, a viscous, bloodthirsty, and chilling aura erupted before their very eyes! It was terrifying and made their hearts pound in their chests.
