”Your Excellency Jack the Blade, I’m sorry, but I don’t understand what you mean...” Amotig faltered, stunned by what the old man in the cowboy hat—Jack the Blade—had just said. He wondered if he had misheard, and his face turned grim as he spoke.

”...Cough, cough. Cough, cough.”

However, Jack the Blade ignored him. He simply lifted his gaze to the distance and, with a tremor in his voice, suddenly called out, ”Friend from the Eastern World, I believe it’s time you showed yourself, wouldn’t you agree?” Upon hearing this, everyone present was taken aback.

Even Chen Fei’s expression grew odd. Could it be...? He spun around to look behind him, simultaneously pushing his senses to their absolute limit.

”Huh? Is that... Uncle Master Yan?” While everyone else was completely bewildered, Chen Fei suddenly locked onto a black silhouette in the far distance, his face filled with shock. The figure was none other than Yama, his Uncle Master Yan, slowly coming into view while leaning on a cane.

As Yama appeared so abruptly, the blood-soaked and battered Amotig couldn’t help but feel his pupils constrict violently. He stared at the old, cane-wielding figure, his voice trembling with shocked recognition as he stammered, ”You... you’re that man from the Hong Kong Black Market?”

Clearly, he was no stranger to a terrifying powerhouse of the Innate Middle Stage like Yama. To think it was the renowned figure from the Hong Kong Black Market.

It was common knowledge that the Hong Kong Black Market was the largest organization in the Dark World of Southeast Asia. Its chairman and three vice-chairmen were famous worldwide and had been classified as S-Level threats by Crimson Fang.

But now, the most powerful of the three vice-chairmen from that S-Level-rated organization had appeared here in person. What did this mean?

Does this mean... the Hong Kong Black Market intends to move against their Crimson Fang?

”The Hong Kong Black Market? Just what is that young man’s background? His own power is one thing... but he can even call upon someone from the Hong Kong Black Market?” someone who seemed to recognize Yama exclaimed in horror. After all, an Ancient Martial Artist at the Innate Middle Stage was considered the equivalent of an SS-Level Dominator in the Western Dark World—the same level as Crimson Fang’s greatest leader, ’Lord’ Jack the Blade.

Yet now, the young man from the East had summoned an expert of the very same caliber. This was simply too shocking, too unbelievable. To have the ability to mobilize a powerhouse of that level required not only incredible connections but also an immeasurable price.

This was a turn of events they had never anticipated.

At this thought, even an S-Level Ability User like Amotig couldn’t stop his expression from turning utterly grim. His bloodstained eyes locked onto Yama as he said coldly, ”Your Excellency, was everything today orchestrated by your Hong Kong Black Market? You should be well aware of the peace accord established between the East and West. Aren’t your actions a bit out of line?”

He deliberately emphasized the ”peace accord,” obviously trying to use it as leverage to pressure Yama. After all, it was a pact established by the strongest experts of both the East and West for the sake of global stability. Not just them, but perhaps even a more terrifying powerhouse wouldn’t dare to act so recklessly.

”An accord? Out of line?”

At this petty trick, a sneer formed on Chen Fei’s lips. ”By that logic, shouldn’t Huaxia mobilize its entire force to crush your so-called Assassin Organization a few dozen times over? Have you forgotten who left this scar on my neck?”

Chen Fei’s words made Amotig’s face freeze. In his agitation, he had forgotten what Chen Fei had told him earlier. Damn it, we were the ones who broke the rules first.

”That’s enough. Be quiet. I’ll handle things from here.”

Yama, however, gently rebuked Chen Fei. He then turned his head to look up at the mountaintop, smiling at Jack the Blade, who was exuding a terrifying killing aura. ”I have long heard of Your Excellency’s legendary reputation. It is truly an honor to finally meet you.”

On the peak, Jack the Blade narrowed his murky eyes, his expression equally grave as he looked at Yama. Trembling slightly, he said in a hoarse voice, ”I’ve heard your name as well. Years ago, I almost accepted a contract involving you.”

What was Jack the Blade’s profession? He was an assassin.

And the contracts he accepted? They were all assignments to kill.

For him to suddenly say such a thing caused the withered hand with which Yama held his cane to tremble slightly. He replied with a hollow smile, ”Is that so? Then it seems we missed a fine opportunity to spar, Your Excellency. A real pity.”

His words sent a shiver through everyone present, including Amotig. This man from the Hong Kong Black Market was no ordinary figure; he was fully qualified to stand on equal footing with Crimson Fang’s strongest trump card, Jack the Blade!

If the two of them were to truly fight, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Witnessing this, even the cowboy-hat-wearing Jack the Blade couldn’t help but squint, a strange light glinting in his trembling, cloudy old eyes. He, Jack the Blade, had roamed the Assassin World for so many years. Who had he ever feared?

But his opponent’s background was indeed extraordinary, not to mention the equally troublesome young man beside him. His gaze subconsciously swept over to Chen Fei, a hint of ruthlessness and killing intent flashing in his eyes.

Daring to cause trouble at our Crimson Fang... Do they really think Jack the Blade has grown old? That the blade in my hand has grown dull?

He pursed his lips, a faint coldness spreading across his trembling, aged face. Expressionless, he looked at Chen Fei and said, ”...Cough, cough. Your Excellency, if you wish to spar with me, there will be plenty of opportunities in the future. But for now, I believe I’ll test this young man’s mettle.”

Normally, given his status and age, he wouldn’t deign to concern himself with a youth like Chen Fei. But what Chen Fei did today was too much; it was a blatant provocation against the Crimson Fang!

If word of this got out, it would be an incredible humiliation. Most importantly, the fall of a trump-card assassin was an immense loss for them.

”Is the Lord going to take action himself?” Hearing Jack the Blade’s words, the Crimson Fang assassins felt a cold sweat instantly drench their backs.

After all, while the great Jack the Blade was a powerhouse they respected, he was also a demon they feared immensely. Once angered, he became like the Grim Reaper himself—utterly cruel, inhuman, and terrifying.

”Is that so?”

Hearing this, Yama’s eyes narrowed slightly, a chill surfacing on his old face. He then said calmly, ”I was not supposed to intervene in this matter. However, this kid and I have some history. He is my martial nephew. So, if Your Excellency truly insists on making a move, why don’t we two have a little spar first?”

His words made everyone’s expressions change again, this time to looks of fear and panic. A clash between powerhouses of this level would be a truly seismic event, even for an organization like Crimson Fang.

”Oh?”

At these words, Jack the Blade’s brow, hidden under his cowboy hat, finally twitched. A thick, bloody, and murderous aura began to emanate from him. The silver knife, which had taken off Flame Snake’s head and was still embedded in the ground, suddenly began to hum strangely. It floated up eerily and flew back into Jack the Blade’s hand. Only then did he cast a casual glance at Yama and say, trembling, ”...Cough, cough. If Your Excellency truly insists, then let’s give it a try. Cough, cough...”

Although he truly didn’t want to fight a troublesome character like Yama, if there was no other choice... he certainly wasn’t afraid.

With his reputation as a legendary assassin, having dominated the Assassin World for so long, whom had he ever feared?

Hearing this, Yama said nothing more. There was no point. One side had been irrevocably offended, and the other was unwilling to back down. In a situation like this, a serious fight was likely the only way to settle things.

With this in mind, he gently raised his cane. A terrifying power, like a withered tree blooming anew, surged from within him. But just at that moment, a young hand suddenly reached out and stopped him.

”Uncle Master, wait a moment,” Chen Fei said, placing a hand on Yama’s arm and shaking his head with a grin.

”You... don’t tell me... Don’t be reckless! What do you think you’re doing!?” Seeing this, Yama’s heart skipped a beat. What Chen Fei did next made everyone’s expression change as they cried out in alarm. Chen Fei had actually walked past him, placing himself directly in the path of their opponent’s terrifying aura.

”Uncle Master, thank you for standing up for me, but please, let me handle this one.” Chen Fei smiled, his eyes narrowed, and a flash of ferocity shot through his pupils, which were as black and clear as glass.

He hadn’t traveled thousands of miles to Italy just to be a spectator. The old man in the cowboy hat, Jack the Blade, seems incredibly strong... but he, Chen Fei, was not to be trifled with, either.

FWOOSH, FWOOSH, FWOOSH...

With a slight raise of his hand, wisps of searing, intense flame intertwined with sharp Sword Qi appeared. They slowly coalesced into blades of the Sword Qi of Sanyang True Fire. One, two, three... five, six! Seven!

Eight!?
