Just as Chen Fei bent down to pick up the stack of money, almost everyone present froze for a moment before a mocking expression appeared on their faces. One of them even laughed and said, ”Not bad, kid. You’re pretty quick at picking up money, aren’t you? Have you been itching to try picking up such a large sum? That’s 10,000 yuan! Hahaha!”

At that, the crowd erupted into boisterous laughter. Even Young Master Liu Yuanding himself sneered. Head held high, he swept a glance at Chen Qun, whose face had turned rather grim, and said with a smirk, ”Keep the money safe, and keep your mouth shut. Brother Weig is right. Bad luck this year might just turn into good luck next year, right? Hahaha!”

”Let’s go, time to party upstairs!” Young Master Liu Yuanding turned and left with a wild laugh, his face filled with triumph. He was quite satisfied with how he had strutted his stuff today; it gave him a real sense of achievement! It had been a while since he last smacked someone in the face with money. So damn satisfying, hahaha…

”By the way, did I say you could leave?”

But in the next instant, a cold voice suddenly rang out.

Young Master Liu Yuanding’s steps faltered. The smug look on his face stiffened before turning dark. He spun around, his eyes locking coldly onto Chen Fei as he curled a corner of his lip in disdain. ”What, you have something else you want to say to me?” His voice was frigid, laced with a frosty menace.

What a joke. What kind of status did he, Young Master Liu Yuanding, have? His uncle was the deputy director of the municipal Finance Bureau, holding the reins of financial power! Since when did a nobody like this dare to speak to him in such a tone?

It wasn’t just him; the young men and women gathered around Young Master Liu also turned their heads, their faces filled with scorn and contempt. They thought Chen Fei was utterly arrogant to dare speak to Young Master Liu in such a way. The men among them, in particular, revealed cold, hostile smiles as they stared daggers at Chen Fei, waiting for just one word from Young Master Liu.

Of course, they didn’t mind teaching this overconfident punk a lesson he’d never forget! At that thought, the scorn on many of their faces grew even more intense.

”Brother Qun, what’s with your friend? Doesn’t he know the rules? Hurry up and have him apologize to Young Master Liu!” At that moment, Brother Weig spoke up with a frown, shocked that Chen Qun’s friend was so clueless. Who did he think he was, speaking to Young Master Liu like that?

”Brother Weig, no, I... Xiaofei, hurry and apologize to Young Master Liu. You misspoke just now.” Hearing this, Chen Qiang’s face turned shades of ashen and purple. He struggled for a long moment, but his fear of the other party’s status ultimately won. He shot Chen Fei an apologetic look while forcing himself to speak. He couldn’t afford to offend a princeling like Young Master Liu Yuanding, and he didn’t want Chen Fei to get into deep trouble over him and his sister.

”Don’t worry, Brother Qun. It’s fine.”

But Chen Fei simply gave him a reassuring look. Ignoring the many hostile glares around him, he raised his head. His pitch-black eyes, as clear as obsidian, stared coolly at Liu Yuanding. A corner of his mouth hooked up as he said in an icy tone, ”So, you really enjoy throwing money at people?”

”None of your damn business! What the f—” SMACK!

Hearing Cheng Fei dare to question him in that tone, Young Master Liu Yuanding’s true colors showed, his face contorting with rage. However, before he could finish his sentence, he felt a gust of wind whip past his face, followed by a crisp smack. The bright red of the banknotes fluttered before his trembling eyes. His ferocious expression instantly froze, and his facial muscles began to twitch with uncontrollable fury.

He, *the* Young Master Liu Yuanding! Had actually… been slapped in the face with money?

”What the fuck! Are you looking to die?” The toadies behind him exploded into a volley of curses. This kid is fucking dead!

However, before their angry shouts had faded or their feet had moved, a roar came from behind them. ”Damn it, I’ll kick you to death!”

It was Young Master Liu Yuanding. His face twisted with rage, he furiously lifted his leg and kicked toward Chen Fei’s chest. Not only him, but several others, eager to curry favor with the nephew of the Finance Bureau’s deputy director, also viciously aimed kicks at Chen Fei’s back and arms.

”Xiaofei, watch out!” Seeing this, Chen Qun’s face drained of color, and he instinctively cried out a warning.

But in the next moment, his expression went completely blank as he witnessed a scene that was utterly stupefying to him and everyone else present.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Several dull thuds rang out as three figures were sent flying like parabolas before crashing heavily to the ground.

”Wh-what...”

The area fell deathly silent. Chen Qun, Brother Weig, and the one woman from Young Master Liu’s group who hadn’t joined in all stared with wide, disbelieving eyes at the men now writhing and groaning in pain on the floor.

It was obvious none of them had seen it coming. The seemingly thin and weak Chen Fei was actually so formidable. Not only was his personality domineering, but his methods were just as ruthless!

When Chen Qun finally snapped back to reality, his surprise instantly morphed into panic.

That was Young Master Liu Yuanding, the nephew of a director in the city’s Finance Bureau! And the people in his circle were surely from powerful families as well! But now, all of them had been beaten up by Chen Fei... The situation had developed completely beyond his expectations. He had absolutely no idea how to resolve this.

”Gentlemen, this is a KTV. Please refrain from causing trouble here!” The KTV staff had noticed the argument earlier but hadn’t paid it much mind. Now that a full-blown fight had broken out, they could no longer turn a blind eye. A manager and security guards immediately stepped forward.

”Making trouble? Are you fucking blind? Don’t you know who I am?” Scrambling up from the floor, Young Master Liu Yuanding roared viciously, pointing a finger at the noses of the manager and security guards.

”Young... Young Master Liu, is that you?”

Liu Yuanding was clearly a regular at Caesar Splendor. The senior manager recognized him, and the faces of the staff immediately turned strange and conflicted.

Young Master Liu’s uncle was the deputy director of the municipal Finance Bureau. While he wasn’t their direct supervisor, who would dare disrespect a big shot from that kind of department? Even their own boss had to serve him with the utmost care. But now, this very princeling had been beaten up in their establishment?

What the hell is going on here?

”Oh, it’s Young Master Liu. What seems to be the... Why don’t we all sit down and talk this over slowly?” Although he was screaming internally, the manager didn’t dare be impolite. As he spoke, his gaze subconsciously drifted toward the placid-looking Chen Fei, and he couldn’t help but wonder.

Damn it, who is this guy? It’s one thing to be a great fighter, but to dare hit Young Master Liu Yuanding… Could it be he doesn’t know who Young Master Liu is?

”You little punk, you’ve got some nerve! Daring to mess with me, Liu Yuanding. Very good, very good!” But this matter was clearly beyond the manager’s control. Young Master Liu Yuanding was already glaring at Chen Fei, clutching his face, his expression ashen as he snarled. That kick from Chen Fei had come straight for his face.

”Do you believe me when I say that if you keep yelling at me, I’ll make sure you don’t walk out of this KTV today?” Hearing the other man’s posturing, Chen Fei’s expression cooled, and his voice turned icy.

”You son of a b—”

Hearing such words, the perpetually arrogant Young Master Liu Yuanding couldn’t take it anymore and exploded with rage.

But just as he was about to lash out, his eyes met the chilling gaze of Cheng Fei, and an involuntary shiver ran down his spine. A wave of coldness washed over his heart, and he forcefully swallowed the profanities on the tip of his tongue, subconsciously taking a step back.

In the next moment, however, his face turned livid as he snapped back to his senses, realizing how much face he would lose by backing down. If word of this got out, where would he, Young Master Liu Yuanding, ever show his face again in the circle of Government Officials’ Sons in Tongzhou City?

At this thought, he shot Chen Fei a dark glare and said in a threatening and malicious tone, ”Kid, if you’ve got the guts, you just wait right here! This isn’t over!”

”Fine by me. As you wish. I’ll wait right here all afternoon,” Chen Fei said with a dismissive smirk. He then turned and walked back into the KTV suite, acting as if Young Master Liu Yuanding didn’t exist, as if he were nothing but air.

”Good! Good! Good! You just fucking wait here for me! If I, Liu Yuanding, don’t ruin you today, I’ll crawl out of Caesar Splendor on my hands and knees!” Seeing this, Young Master Liu Yuanding trembled with rage, his face a ghastly shade of green. For a privileged princeling like him, today’s events were nothing short of a colossal, unbearable humiliation.

With that, he stomped off to the side to make a phone call, his companions standing guard.

”No, wait, Young Master Liu... sigh!”

Seeing this, a panicked Chen Qun instinctively tried to intervene again, but his outstretched hand fell limply to his side. He clutched his head and sighed. The situation had escalated far beyond his control.

Sigh... this has really blown up into a huge mess.

Back in the KTV suite, Miss Chu Yan asked curiously, ”Hey, bad guy, what was all that racket outside? It sounded like a lot of people were shouting.” Though they hadn’t left the room, they had vaguely heard the commotion outside.
