”Is that him?”

Upon recognizing the figure at the base of the mountain, Amotig couldn’t help but stiffen, his aged face etched with surprise. I hadn’t expected this Easterner, this Chen Fei, to be so young. The satellite images hadn’t captured his face clearly, so I didn’t notice this detail before.

”Magician Sir, is that the man who dares to challenge our Crimson Fang? Please allow me to fight. I only need one hand to twist off his arm,” said the burly-faced old man standing beside Amotig, his voice laced with malice after a long silence.

”Do you think you’re more formidable than Old Bat?” Amotig replied, shooting him a cold glance that made the burly-faced man’s expression freeze.

”My apologies, Magician Sir.”

In truth, I don’t believe the great Blood Clan Lord is dead... And even if it’s true, I can’t accept that it was done by such a young-looking Easterner. Firstly, I’ve always looked down on frail Easterners. Secondly, the great Blood Clan Lord was a legendary figure of Duke stature. How could he have fallen so easily? However, facing the even more powerful Magician Sir Amotig, he didn’t dare to show the slightest hint of his doubt. He didn’t want to die, especially since he could clearly detect the icy undertone in Amotig’s words.

”Are all of you from the Crimson Fang?” At that moment, a clear voice drifted up from the foot of the mountain.

Hearing this, Amotig’s eyes flashed with a sinister coldness. He looked down from his high vantage point at Chen Fei’s unfamiliar Eastern face and said coldly, ”Eastern Lad, do you not realize where you are?”

”Where else could it be? Isn’t this the Crimson Fang’s headquarters?” Chen Fei shrugged, lifting his head. His pitch-black eyes, as clear as obsidian, glinted with ferocity. So many people suddenly appearing out of nowhere, all staring at me with such hostility... Especially this old man talking to me; he seems to be a very powerful Magician, an Ability User. This is quite the intimidating turnout. Are they all here to kill me?

BOOM!

Just as he finished speaking, a terrifying aura, like a raging storm, erupted from Amotig. With a grim face, he stared intently at Chen Fei and said, ”Eastern Lad, don’t you think you’re being a little too arrogant? Who do you think you are?”

”An S Level Wind Element Superpowered?”

Witnessing this and feeling the familiar yet foreign surge of volatile wind magic, Chen Fei couldn’t help but narrow his eyes, recalling his previous encounter with Old Benson in Tongzhou. But this guy in front of me now seems obviously a notch weaker.

At this thought, he seemed to give a slight, almost amused shrug. He then raised his pitch-black, crystal-clear eyes, looking at the other man with a half-smile. ”Someone else asked me the exact same question, just as you are now. Aren’t you curious where he is now?”

At these words, the wrinkles on Amotig’s old face twitched violently, and a sharp, cold glint appeared in his eyes. Although Chen Fei hadn’t named the person, isn’t it obvious?! Old Bat really did die at his hands? At the hands of this young man?!

”Attack! Kill him!”

The thought made his eyelids snap open, and a chilling, murderous command spilled from his lips, echoing in the ears of those around him.

Instantly, the Crimson Fang Assassins mobilized. Their faces were grim, some wearing cruel sneers, as they began to close in on Chen Fei. Perhaps only a clever few chose to hang back inconspicuously at the rear of the group. After all, isn’t an order like this from the great Magician Sir Amotig just sending us to our deaths to test the waters?

”It seems you really don’t value your subordinates’ lives. So cruel and heartless, are you?” Chen Fei murmured, as if to himself, upon seeing the scene. He then flipped his palm over.

PFFT. A muffled sound was heard as five thumb-sized swords, wreathed in blazing flames, appeared in his hand.

Indeed, during his journey across most of the Eurasian continent, his cultivation of the ”Sanyang Sword Manual” had advanced once again, allowing him to condense a fifth Sword Qi of Sanyang True Fire—a pleasant surprise.

”What is that...?”

Amotig’s eyes caught the faint glow of the flames in Chen Fei’s hand. Though he couldn’t see clearly what they were, just feeling the energy fluctuations they contained was enough to make goosebumps erupt all over his skin as a potent sense of dread welled up inside him.

Wait, damn it... Just as his expression changed drastically and he prepared to shout for the Assassins to stop, he realized he was already too late.

”Go.”

Chen Fei clenched his fist around the five tiny, blazing swords in his palm and then flicked his fingers. In an instant, streams of scalding, terrifyingly sharp Sword Qi shot out like a tempest, moving at an unbelievable speed.

The sudden assault of impossibly fast Sword Qi stunned the Assassins. This was something they had never encountered before. Before they could even begin to react, a series of low, explosive sounds erupted in their midst.

PFFT! PFFT! PFFT...

Before Amotig’s suddenly contracted and horrified old eyes, the Assassins who had been slowly approaching Chen Fei with cold smiles began to tremble violently. One by one, bleeding, searing holes mysteriously appeared in their vital spots, which then bizarrely burst open.

From beginning to end, not a single Assassin managed to react or let out a dying scream. Yet, in Amotig’s horrified gaze, the air filled with the continuous, muffled sounds of explosions and the thud of corpses hitting the ground. He was utterly stunned, and an icy chill shot up his spine.

”Who exactly are you? Have you forgotten the peace accord between our Eastern and Western worlds? You shouldn’t be here!” Watching the vast majority of his Crimson Fang Assassins fall as lifeless corpses, Amotig could no longer contain his terror. His deep, murky eyes stared fixedly at Chen Fei with extreme wariness.

He was now forced to admit that this very young-looking Eastern Lad before him was far more troublesome and terrifying than he had ever imagined. It was so much so that even he was now hesitant to make a move and could only resort to questioning him.

”You people certainly have a lot of questions. Is this reason enough for you?” Chen Fei smiled faintly, pulling open his collar as his tone grew progressively colder. ”This scar on my neck was a gift from one of your people.”

”...Our people? Who?” Seeing the bullet scar on Chen Fei’s shoulder, Amotig’s eyes narrowed. He couldn’t help but lick his dry lips.

”Who? Child of Light. Ring a bell?” Chen Fei said with a cold smirk, his eyes narrowed to slits.

Child of Light? Ring a bell? Of course it rings a bell!

Amotig’s expression turned exceedingly grim. He hadn’t expected that this man’s appearance here, seeking revenge, was truly because someone from the Crimson Fang had struck first. And what a terrifying man he was! One of their Silver Badge Assassins, the Child of Light, had violated the organization’s rules, daring to privately accept a mission to assassinate someone in an Eastern country. It was no longer a question of whether he had overestimated his own abilities, because it was too late for any of that. The target had already hunted them down all the way in Italy. And that scar on his neck... it was clearly in a vital area, yet it hadn’t killed him.

”Alright, Your Excellency, this was indeed our organization’s mistake and oversight,” Amotig said slowly. ”Please allow me to offer you my most sincere apologies.”

”Heh.”

Hearing this, Chen Fei’s lips curled into a slight smile. He gazed calmly at the other man and said, ”I think you’re well aware that I didn’t come thousands of miles to Italy just to listen to your apology.” At this, Amotig’s expression shifted again.

”Then may I ask, Your Excellency, what is it that you desire?” Amotig asked slowly.

”What do I desire?”

Chen Fei looked at him with a knowing smile and blurted out, ”It’s quite simple, really. I just... want to destroy your nest.”

”What did you say...? Your Excellency, that joke isn’t funny.” Hearing this, even with all his deep-seated wariness of Chen Fei, Amotig couldn’t stop his face from twisting for a split second into a ferocious mask. He forcibly suppressed it and replied in an icy tone.

”Is that so? I don’t believe I’m joking. Otherwise, why do you think I came all this way?” Chen Fei watched as the man’s face gradually lost its composure, his own smile slowly turning sinister as he stared into the older man’s eyes.

”You!”

A savage look finally broke through Amotig’s control, spreading across his aged face. But in the next instant, his expression changed dramatically yet again as a searing aura enveloped him completely.

”Don’t say I didn’t give you a chance. You are no match for me. If you continue to block my path, you will die!” Chen Fei’s patience had apparently run out. A horrifying presence emanated from him, and his gaze turned utterly grim as he issued his warning.

”You really think that I, Amotig, dare not fight? The one who will die is you, you arrogant Easterner!” Amotig’s roar was his answer. With a sinister expression, he swiftly stretched out his hand and drew a complex shape in the air, causing a bizarre Magic Formation to materialize.

”Wind Magic, Wind God Spear!”

A Spear formed from the terrifying Power of the Storm shot toward Chen Fei with unstoppable, devastating force.
