And at that moment, who should make a dazzling entrance but Chen Fei, Young Master Chen himself.

”You big baddie!” Chu Yan exclaimed with delight.

”Hey, kid! Who are you? Back off and mind your own business, got it?” The tattooed man in the suit, Brother Dao, shouted upon seeing a blind fool suddenly interrupt. He gave Chen Fei a menacing look and waved his hand in a threatening gesture.

SLAP!

”Shut the hell up!”

Before Brother Dao could finish speaking, he felt a sharp blow to his forehead, followed by a dull thud. He then saw Young Master Zhang Quan glaring at him ferociously, his face twitching. Zhang Quan then turned to Chen Fei, his voice trembling. ”Brother... Brother Fei... good to see you...” His demeanor was as sycophantic as it could possibly be.

After all, he had no choice. Ever since he had been ruthlessly dealt with before, he knew exactly who Chen Fei was. A single phone call from this man was enough to make the venerable Secretary Dong Wencheng—a heavyweight in the provincial party committee—give face and call his father!

What did that imply? It implied that even a complete idiot could figure out that this person was a major figure with an immense background, someone a minor character like Zhang Quan could never afford to offend! Otherwise, he wouldn’t have suffered so badly back then and been personally sent abroad by his own father!

Witnessing this, the onlookers were stunned. ”This... this...”

Especially Brother Dao, the tattooed man who had just spoken so disrespectfully to Chen Fei. A shiver ran down his spine, and his expression changed drastically, his eyes filling with terror.

My god, what did Young Master Zhang just call him? Brother… Fei!? He felt his legs about to give out, on the verge of fainting. To be called ’Brother’ by Young Master Zhang—the son of the city’s Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission—and to see Zhang Quan acting so utterly servile and fawning... What the hell kind of person is this? Brother Dao felt like he was about to cry, or worse, wet himself.

But Chen Fei seemed to pay him no mind. His pitch-black, crystal-clear eyes swept over Zhang Quan as he said with a half-smile, ”You’re a slow learner, kid. It hasn’t been that long, and you’ve fallen into my hands again?”

Upon hearing this, Young Master Zhang Quan shuddered, his face paling instantly. ”No, no, Brother Fei, please, let me explain! I... I didn’t know she was acquainted with you!” he explained hurriedly.

This was no joke; he wasn’t an idiot. He had clearly detected the sarcasm in Chen Fei’s tone. Damn it, why is this guy like a lingering ghost? If I had known this jinx knew that little bitch, I wouldn’t have dared to have any crooked ideas, not even with ten times the nerve!

Chen Fei chuckled and murmured, ”Honestly, it’s a real waste you’re not an actor.” Then, his expression shifted. He picked at his ear with a hint of impatience and said flatly, ”Slap yourself.”

”Ah!?”

Young Master Zhang Quan was stunned. He wasn’t the only one. Everyone present—Brother Dao and his crew, Wang Qin in her sexy camisole dress, and even Miss Chu Yan herself—stared at Chen Fei with a mixture of confusion, shock, and even fear. What had they just heard? Did this guy actually tell Young Master Zhang Quan to slap himself? Whose face? Wasn’t it obvious? His own, of course, but... but this...

”Brother... Brother Fei, don’t you think this is...” Young Master Zhang Quan stammered, his expression turning grim.

Although he was terrified of this mysterious man who could summon Secretary Dong Wencheng with a single call, what was he hearing now? An order to slap his own face?

Shit, are you insane? Who do you think I am? I’m Young Master Zhang Quan! My father is the city’s Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission...

But just as this resentful, twisted roar echoed in his mind, he suddenly felt a force strike him.

SLAP!

A crisp slap echoed in everyone’s ears. Instantly, everyone’s gaze shot up in horror. They stared at the dazed Young Master Zhang, who was clutching his cheek, and then at Chen Fei, whose hand was still in the air, his expression calm as if he had done nothing. They were all dumbfounded.

Brother Dao, his thugs, and even Wang Qin in her sexy camisole dress—their faces drained of all color in an instant.

He... he... he... Who was Young Master Zhang Quan? He was the son of Secretary Zhang of the city’s Political and Legal Affairs Commission. Even if he wasn’t at the very top of the Inner Circle of Jiangnan Province, he was still a person of considerable standing. Who would dare to disrespect him? Who would dare to act so brazenly in his presence? And yet, a young master of his stature was just slapped hard across the face in front of so many people... Are we dreaming!? This is just too...

SLAP!

Just then, another crisp slap rang out. This time, the sound struck their hearts like a heavy hammer, making them jump like scalded cats. Their mouths went dry, and their bodies trembled uncontrollably.

”This big baddie, he... he...” Even Miss Chu Yan was no exception; her pretty face was a mask of bizarre shock. She covered her open mouth with her hand, her expression stunned, unable to believe what she was seeing. That scum Zhang Quan... had now been slapped twice?

SLAP!

In the next moment, the familiar, terrifying sound of a slap echoed again. Everyone present felt their faces twitch uncontrollably. Their hearts pounded as if they would burst from their chests, and cold sweat beaded on their skin.

This... this... how many slaps was that? Three... It must have been the third one, right?

Silence. A deathly silence. It was broken only by the sound of heavy, ragged breathing. It wasn’t just Brother Dao and his crew, whose faces were now utterly bloodless from fear. Wang Qin, who had been standing next to Chu Yan, had long since collapsed to the floor, her legs giving out from under her. Her face was ashen, and her eyes were wild with terror.

This... this... this... How is this possible!? That’s Young Master Zhang Quan, the son of Secretary Zhang of the city’s Political and Legal Affairs Commission! A man of his status and position... and yet, now, he was... he was...

At that moment, Chen Fei, looking like he’d finally had enough fun, swept his pitch-black, crystal-clear eyes over Zhang Quan and said indifferently, ”If your mouth is going to be that filthy, you should go home and learn some manners. Of course, if you’re not convinced, you can tell me now. I’m listening. Hmm?”

Hearing this, Zhang Quan clutched his already red and throbbing cheeks. His face twisted with rage for a second, but when he heard Chen Fei’s words and apathetic tone, a shiver of pure fear shot through him.

”Yes... Yes, Brother Fei, you’re right to teach me a lesson. My mouth was filthy. I deserved to be hit...” he said, lowering his head and trembling. He knew he couldn’t afford to provoke Chen Fei. Since he’d already been beaten, losing a little more face didn’t matter.

When they saw this—saw Young Master Zhang Quan, his face swollen from the slaps, not exploding in anger as they’d expected but instead acting as meek as a grandson, mumbling apologies in a low voice—the loan sharks who had come to collect the debt froze in place, a cold dread washing over them. The leader, Brother Dao, almost rolled his eyes back and fainted on the spot.

How could he not be scared? The Young Master Zhang Quan, who in his mind was the epitome of untouchable arrogance, was now in this pitiful state. His face was swollen, and he looked as miserable as a stray dog, yet he didn’t even dare to show his anger, just kept humbling himself... Damn it, we came to collect a high-interest loan and ended up running into a friend of such a terrifying monster. What’s the difference between this and asking to be killed? His trembling intensified.

As for Wang Qin, who was still slumped on the floor, the lipstick on her lips couldn’t hide their stark pallor. She was completely dazed, her revealing clothes doing little to hide her trembling figure.

”Alright, apologize to my friend, and then get lost,” Chen Fei said impatiently. ”You’re an eyesore.”

”Yes, yes! I’ll apologize, I’ll apologize!” Young Master Zhang Quan scurried over to Chu Yan. He apologized profusely with a disturbingly animated tone and chilling words, then fled with his tail between his legs without a moment’s hesitation.

Seeing this, the remaining people finally snapped out of their stupor, their eyes filled with terror as they stared at Chen Fei. The loan sharks, in particular, felt their legs turn to jelly. Their faces were ashen as they wondered what would happen to them next.

”Alright, now let’s talk about this high-interest loan,” Chen Fei said, narrowing his eyes. He patted Brother Dao on the shoulder, his tone a teasing half-smile. The gesture nearly made the burly man collapse in fear.

The tattooed Brother Dao was clearly no fool. The moment he heard Chen Fei mention the loan, he jolted and stammered with a fawning smile, ”Ah, no need, no need! We don’t need the money... We’re sorry, we were blind. We didn’t realize this lady was your friend. We’ll just forget about the money...”

”Don’t be so hasty,” Chen Fei said with a smirk. ”Paying one’s debts is only right and proper... Besides, I don’t know the person who owes you money. I’m just friends with *her*.” He first pointed to Wang Qin, who was still on the floor, then gestured to Chu Yan.

”Hey, you big baddie, what do you mean by that?” Chu Yan, who clearly hadn’t caught on yet, asked unhappily when she heard Chen Fei seemingly distance himself.

Hearing this, Wang Qin’s pretty face twitched, and she grew even paler.
