Medical Sage

For the father and son duo, Hee Yuanpei and He Che, Chen Fei was now no different from a monster. That was the black market, after all! The most terrifying underground power in Hong Kong and Macau, yet now a mere youngster dared to turn against them. How could they not be scared? They felt an unprecedented pressure, so much so that they hardly dared to breathe.

The latter was so frightened his heart nearly stopped beating. He felt as if he were treading on thin ice, his knuckles turning white, unsure where to even put his hands. Although he felt wronged, since he was not the mastermind, he was the one who had set the trap. It was an undeniable fact, and he did not have the guts to deny it.

Thinking of this, He Che gritted his teeth and said, ”Mr. Chen, this is my fault. I truly didn’t know that Mr. Hua was your friend. I’m not making excuses, so please punish me. The Hee Family really has nothing to do with this matter.”

Both Hee Yuanpei and Chen Yaoyang were taken aback. They had not expected He Che to take full responsibility for the matter, which made Chen Fei regard him somewhat more highly. Chen Fei looked at the two men and said indifferently, ”Enough. Don’t act like I’m going to eat you. I know you’re not largely at fault here, but you did set my brother up. So, while you may be spared the death penalty, you cannot escape punishment. Understand my meaning?”

”Understood! Understood!” He Che was a smart man and immediately understood that Chen Fei was not planning to target him. His expression relaxed, and he let out a long sigh of relief.

Seeing this, Hee Yuanpei also felt as if a heavy stone had been lifted from his heart. He could not help but step forward and say, ”Mr. Chen, I think there has been some misunderstanding, which led my son to be so disrespectful to your friend. But rest assured, the money your friend lost at our casino will be returned in full. Additionally, the Hee Family will put forth one billion Macau currency as a gesture of our sincerity, as compensation for Mr. Hua’s emotional distress. What do you think…”

However, upon hearing this, Chen Fei merely glanced at him and said slowly, ”Old Sir, do you think I lack money?”

”No, no, that’s not what I meant. Mr. Chen, you’ve misunderstood,” Hee Yuanpei said, his expression changing drastically as he hastily explained, clearly aware that he had misspoken.

Indeed, with Chen Fei’s terrifying strength, a mere wave of his hand would probably result in countless people scrambling to give him money. Thus, a man like him was certainly not short of cash.

”Alright, alright, since I also won quite a bit at your casino just now, let’s consider it as me settling the score for him. Now, there’s another matter I need to ask you about,” Chen Fei said, waving his hand impatiently, finally preparing to get down to business.

”Please speak, Mr. Chen,” Hee Yuanpei immediately said without hesitation.

Chen Fei glanced at him before his gaze fell on He Che. He asked slowly, ”I ask you, where is Junn Yuanyi?” Clearly, this was his true target.

”You mean the Young Master of the Holy Fire Sect, Junn Yuanyi?” He Che could not help but lick his lips and stammer nervously.

”Who do you think? Yes, him! Where is he now?” Chen Fei said, growing impatient. He Che, already pale, trembled at his irritable tone. He knew Chen Fei was about to get serious.

With that thought, his lips trembled as he said, ”Young Master Junn… no, I mean, Junn Yuanyi should be in the villa I arranged for him right now. He told me not to come to him today because he needed to practice his skills…”

”A villa?” Chen Fei interrupted. ”Enough said. Lead the way.”

A moment later, a Phaeton left the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way parking lot under the cover of night, speeding toward a posh seaside villa.

Meanwhile, in the open-air area of a high-end seaside villa in Macau, a young man in his twenties stood with an imposing physique and piercing eyes that radiated pride. He held two peculiar, fiery-red tokens in his hands. Each was about the size of two palms, hard in texture, and had a ripple-like pattern on its edge that resembled the blazing sun or a holy fire.

If someone from the Circle of Ancient Martial Arts were present, they would instantly recognize these strange tokens. These items were weapons unique to one of the Eleven Second-Rate Ancient Martial Arts Sects of Huaxia—the Holy Fire Sect. They were known as the Holy Fire Tokens.

Because the sect’s martial arts technique—the Divine Skill of the Holy Fire Token—required these unique token-like weapons to unleash its full potential, over time, the Holy Fire Token became the symbol of the Holy Fire Sect. Anyone within the circle would recognize them at a glance.

HUFF!

ROAR!

But in the next moment, the bald young man, who had been standing quietly, suddenly moved.

The odd weapons in his hands, the Holy Fire Tokens, emitted a strong red glow that seemed to dye the air crimson, causing the surrounding temperature to rise. A ball of surging red flame burst forth from the Holy Fire Token weapons, forming an arm-thick fire serpent that wrapped around the two tokens.

The bald young man held the weapons firmly and swung them down violently from top to bottom. Sparks flew in all directions, followed by a deafening explosion.

In the open area of the villa, a huge rock at least two meters high burst asunder on impact, shattering into countless small stone fragments!

And that was not even the most terrifying part. The edges of those small fragments were scalding hot, emitting red sparks as if they were still burning fiercely—a truly shocking sight.

CLAP, CLAP, CLAP…

The sound of applause, accompanied by steady footsteps, approached from afar, and a man in his sixties appeared in view. He was not tall, had sallow skin, and a notable brown spot on the left side of his face. Moreover, his scorpion-like gaze sent shivers down one’s spine.

He walked up to the bald young man, still clapping, his murky eyes flickering. A hint of admiration touched the corners of his mouth as he said, ”As expected of the Great Elder’s own grandson. Such talent is truly astonishing. One in ten thousand! If I’m not mistaken, your Divine Skill of the Holy Fire Token has broken through to the Seventh Layer, hasn’t it?”

”Elder Xue, yes. My Divine Skill of the Holy Fire Token has just broken through to the Seventh Layer,” the bald young man stated, his eyes filled with pride as he held his head high.

He was only twenty-four years old, yet he had cultivated the sect’s Divine Skill of the Holy Fire Token to the Seventh Layer. Even his grandfather had not managed to attain this level at his age. But Junn Yuanyi had done it, surpassing his grandfather—who had now reached the Half-Step Innate Realm—and giving him every reason to be proud.

”Truly impressive, Yuanyi. If the Great Elder finds out about this, he will be extremely pleased,” the Old Man with Brown Spots said excitedly. ”You must know, the Seventh Layer of our Holy Fire Sect’s Divine Skill of the Holy Fire Token is equivalent to the absolute peak of a Second Rate Ancient Martial Artist. Even when facing Ability Users of the same level, you have a seventy percent chance of victory, making you the strongest below First-Class Ancient Warriors. And just in time for the triennial Lingnan Mountain Martial Arts Festival…”

Among the Eleven Second-Rate Ancient Martial Arts Sects of Huaxia, their Holy Fire Sect’s ranking was not high, merely in the middle. However, if Yuanyi could shine at this Lingnan Mountain Martial Arts Festival and suppress the scions of those sects ranked higher than the Holy Fire Sect, it would be a matter of great prestige. Naturally, the elder was excited.

A twenty-four-year-old at the peak of Second Rate Ancient Martial Artists was an extremely rare prodigy, even within the entire southern Circle of Ancient Martial Arts. He was a genius among geniuses. Only a very few talents could stand shoulder to shoulder with him.

”Elder Xue, rest assured. This time, I will make sure the entire southern Circle of Ancient Martial Arts firmly remembers my name, Junn Yuanyi. Hahaha,” Junn Yuanyi laughed heartily, oozing self-confidence.

”Interesting. What big words,” a mocking voice suddenly came from not far away.

”Who’s there? Get out here right now!” Junn Yuanyi’s face darkened, and he shouted angrily.

”Get out here? Haven’t you noticed your mouth is rather foul?” the mocking voice sounded again, but this time with a distinct chill. Then, with the sound of a door being pushed open, Chen Fei’s tall figure slowly appeared in their sight.

”How dare you! Where did this brat come from, daring to cause trouble on Holy Fire Sect territory? You’re seeking death!” The bellow came from a Second Rate Ancient Martial Artist guarding the villa’s perimeter. He sprang into action, pulling out his Holy Fire Token and slashing at Chen Fei without hesitation. The attack was filled with killing intent, aimed straight for his head!

Evidently, aside from the Old Man with Brown Spots, Elder Xue, and the bald young man, Junn Yuanyi, there were four or five other menacing figures present—all disciples of the Holy Fire Sect, with strengths ranging from Second Rate Ancient Martial Artist to the peak of that level.

You want to kill me?

Seeing the man charge straight for his head without a word, Chen Fei’s eyes flashed with a cold light. He raised a hand and threw a punch with the force of a surging wave. His first blow sent the man’s Holy Fire Token flying, and his second landed brutally on the man’s chest. The disciple coughed up blood and flew backward, smashing into a wall, his fate uncertain.

It was not that Chen Fei was bloodthirsty; it was that his opponent had shown no mercy from the start, intending to kill him. In that case, how could he possibly be foolish enough to show mercy? It would be pointless and unnecessary!

”How audacious! You’re courting death!” Seeing this, veins throbbed on the foreheads of both Elder Xue and Junn Yuanyi, the Young Master of the Holy Fire Sect. Their expressions darkened instantly, and their eyes flashed with enraged fury.

After all, they were a respected Elder and the Young Master of the Holy Fire Sect. For someone to kill one of their disciples right before their eyes was a blatant insult. How could they not be enraged?

But they failed to consider that if their man had not brought this upon himself—going straight for Chen Fei’s head and trying to take his life—Chen Fei would never have responded with such a heavy-handed, thunderous strike to teach him what it means to reap what you sow.

In short, the man had brought it entirely upon himself.
