In truth, Jack had never imagined he could lose so miserably at the gambling table. It wasn’t just about losing three hundred million US dollars in two rounds. The real nightmare was the feeling that he was completely, truly unable to win.

For any top expert in their field, their greatest asset isn’t skill or technique, but confidence. If that confidence is lost, the person is essentially destroyed, not far from being completely broken.

”I’ve lost. I can’t beat you. I’m sorry, Mr. Ke, I really can’t go on...” Jack departed, soulless and gloomy. He had suffered an unprecedented blow. I can’t win. I really can’t win!

”Wait, wait, don’t go…”

Watching this unfold, Ke Xiangdong completely fell apart. His clothes were soaked through with cold sweat, and a gust of wind made him shiver uncontrollably.

Although the Casino of the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way had other gamblers at Jack’s level, he was one of the very best. Now, even Jack, one of their top two, had suffered such a crushing defeat. They had lost three hundred million US dollars in just two hands. What should we do? He was too afraid to think any further, feeling completely stunned.

”Manager Ke, where are my winnings? This round should be two hundred million US dollars, right?” Just then, Chen Fei’s voice, devilish to his ears, made him jump. He began to tremble with panic.

Three hundred million US dollars. By now, Galaxy Macau had already lost three hundred million US dollars.

He knew he was no longer qualified to continue. He had to notify his superiors immediately—the Hee Family, who stood behind the casino.

”My apologies, guest, I need to make a phone call.” With that, he scrambled out of the top-tier VIP room. Trembling, he pulled out his personal cell phone and dialed a number listed as ’Sixth Master’.

”Hey, don’t run off! Where’s my money?” Chen Fei complained, propping himself up. They’ve only lost two rounds and they’re already this scared? So much for being one of Macau’s top six casinos. What a disgrace.

He didn’t consider that while it was only two rounds, he had won three hundred million US dollars from them. The other party was just a general manager, an employee at best. It was already impressive that he hadn’t wet himself, let alone dared to continue.

Seeing Chen Fei acting so shamelessly, with an embarrassing demeanor as if he’d never seen money before, the One-eyed Elder and Chen Yaoyang standing behind him showed no disdain. Instead, their eyes filled with awe and fear.

Now they finally understood why Chen Fei had come to the Hee Family’s casino. His gambling skills could only be described as heaven-defying. He had played just two hands, won three hundred million, and, most terrifyingly, driven his opponent to a mental breakdown, too scared to continue. It was truly frightening.

If someone like Chen Fei were to appear at their Chen Family’s Macau Gold Crown Casino… The very thought made their scalps tingle and sent chills down their spines.

”Mr. Chen, if we keep winning like this, they might not honor the debt so easily. And it will likely alarm the Hee Family,” Chen Yaoyang whispered beside Chen Fei after his initial shock wore off.

”Not honor the debt so easily?” Chen Fei smiled faintly but said nothing.

”You’re trying to make as big a scene as possible, aren’t you, Mr. Chen?” the One-eyed Elder said, glancing at Chen Yaoyang.

Make as big a scene as possible? Chen Yaoyang froze.

”Make as big a scene as possible?” Chen Fei squinted and chuckled. ”Old sir, you’ve got it wrong. How is this making a scene? I walked in through the front door of a casino. Are they not supposed to allow customers to gamble? If that’s the case, why is this dump even open?”

”But the Hee Family…” Chen Yaoyang hesitated instinctively. After all, it was the Hee Family.

”The Hee Family, so what?” Chen Fei replied with a placid smile.

At that, a shiver ran down Chen Yaoyang’s spine, and cold sweat beaded on his forehead. Only then did he remember that Chen Fei was the kind of freak who could handily beat down even the old monster from the Ma Family. So, what could the Hee Family possibly do to him?

Moreover, it seemed that Chen Fei had intended to drag the Hee Family, the power behind the casino, into this from the very beginning.

”Hello, is this Sixth Master? It’s me, Ke Xiangdong. We have a major situation at the casino...” Outside the VIP room of the Casino of the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way, the general manager was on the phone.

He had been frantic about losing three hundred million US dollars, but his nerves calmed considerably after connecting with Sixth Master. He was especially relieved when the steady voice on the other end didn’t blame him, but simply told him to calm down and explain what had happened.

He was formally known as Sixth Lord Hee; his actual given name was known to very few people. Rumor had it that he was the most outstanding individual of the previous generation of the Hee Family. His father had been the older brother of the current family head. After his father’s death, his uncle assumed the position of Patriarch of the Hee Family, leading to Sixth Lord Hee’s gradual fade from the family’s core management. Nevertheless, no one in the family ever questioned his ability or prestige.

He eventually took over the family’s more profitable peripheral businesses, like the incredibly lucrative Casino of the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way, one of Macau’s six major casinos. It was now under his management.

When Chen Fei’s group first arrived, Ke Xiangdong had already called Sixth Lord Hee to report the situation. He had only proceeded to oversee the match after getting his permission. He never expected Chen Fei to be so ferocious, winning three hundred million US dollars right off the bat in two rounds.

This terrified him out of continuing, forcing him to call Sixth Lord Hee again in the hopes that he would handle the matter personally. Of course, he only dared to ask this not only because Sixth Lord Hee was the casino’s backer but also because they had a special relationship. Ke Xiangdong’s sister was, for all intents and purposes, Sixth Lord Hee’s lover and was quite favored, which in turn elevated Ke Xiangdong’s own status.

”You’re telling me you lost three hundred million in two rounds? Did you get your head slammed in a door to bet that high?”

Even though Ke Xiangdong was his so-called brother-in-law, Sixth Lord Hee couldn’t help but berate him upon hearing the news. Afterward, with a grave expression, he inquired about the details, pondering the situation. Who exactly was this person?

He knew they could put forward a huge sum of money and held a top-tier Centurion Black Card issued by the American company Yuntong. It was impossible for them not to know that the Hex Family of Macau stood behind Galaxy Macau. Yet, they had still come looking for trouble.

Could it be one of our rival families? The thought startled Sixth Lord Hee.

”No, that’s unlikely. If it were them, they wouldn’t bother with a casino. They would have come to us directly.” He quickly dismissed the impractical idea.

As the most dominant power in Macau, the Hee Family was no ordinary gambling dynasty or business clan. They were a family of Ability Users, a concept beyond the comprehension of ordinary people.

What were Ability User families? Think of the non-humans in Western fantasy movies who can manipulate light, darkness, water, fire, wind, earth, and thunder. Families composed of and led by such beings were known as Ability User families.

Any family or power qualified to be their rival would be formidable in their own right. If they were to make a move, it wouldn’t be some third-tier stunt like causing trouble at a mere casino. It was completely unrealistic; of that, he was certain.

Having ruled out that possibility, a mocking, cold smile crept onto Sixth Lord Hee’s lips. If it wasn’t a rival Ability User family, and likely not some Ancient Martial Artist from the Inland, then whoever dared to cause trouble on his turf had some serious nerve. To say they were courting death was an understatement.

”Keep them there for now. And find someone else to test him for a couple more rounds. Don’t bet so big this time; set a maximum limit on the chips. I’m on my way over personally. I want to see for myself who dares to make trouble at a place under my, Sixth Lord Hee’s, protection. Looking for death? Hmph!” With a heavy snort, Sixth Lord Hee hung up the phone.

”Yes, I understand, Sixth Master.”

Ke Xiangdong wiped the sweat from his forehead and heaved a long sigh of relief. With Sixth Master coming personally, the problem was no longer his. This is a battle between immortals. I’m just a mortal; I don’t want to get caught in the crossfire.

Then he remembered Sixth Master’s instructions to test the opponent again. He understood this meant finding out if the man was only good at dice or if he was just as strong in other games. He immediately gestured to a staff member outside the VIP room. ”You, go get Scarface for me.”

Scarface, also known as Scarface Qiang, was a gambling master cultivated by the Casino of the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way itself. He specialized in cards and was renowned worldwide. He had once been a contender for the tenth spot among the world’s gambling kings, only to be edged out by someone from Mexico.

Even so, his skill with cards was beyond question. Within the casino, and even throughout Macau, he was considered top-tier. The previous dice game relied on the ’skill’ of listening to identify position, but cards came down to psychology.

Let’s see what kind of psychological fortitude a twenty-something kid like Chen Fei has. Can he really compare to Scarface? Heh.
