At that moment, the bald man Scarface, the Filipino named Jaro, and the others broke out in a cold sweat.

They had initially thought today’s job would be extremely simple. With four of them playing against a single opponent, it was outright bullying; losing was impossible. But now, to their shock and horror, they realized the reality was far beyond their expectations and countless times more severe than they could have imagined.

Each of them was, without a doubt, one of the top poker players in Macau. And yet, they were now being taken to the cleaners by a young man in his twenties. The most terrifying part was that they didn’t even know how they were losing.

They simply couldn’t see how Chen Fei had cheated. They had no idea how he’d swapped his own cards for three fives—a bomb—while simultaneously giving the Filipino, Jaro, a Queen-King-Ace straight flush in spades. This was happening in their own VIP casino at the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way, and yet… The mere thought made their scalps tingle and sweat pour down their faces.

”Boss Ke, this guy is a master, and a terrifying one at that. We… we can’t win against him…” Scarface couldn’t help but stand up, pretending to go to the bathroom as he whispered into the communicator in his collar.

Ke Xiangdong, sitting in the croupier’s seat, trembled when he heard this. He forced a strained smile and said apologetically, ”It seems I’m not cut out for this job. You take over for me. Apologies, I need to excuse myself for a moment.” He first spoke to the croupier waiting on the side, who was now trembling, and then once again excused himself, pushing open the room’s door and walking out.

”Bet small, keep him steady, and let him win,” he murmured with a bitter taste in his mouth after leaving the VIP room. Betting small, letting the opponent win… For him, the general manager of the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way, to say such words was indeed ironic, and it proved that he was truly convinced of the other man’s superiority. This Chen Fei was an absolute freak!

No, I have to call Sixth Master again. Faced with a gambling god of Chen Fei’s caliber, Ke Xiangdong was genuinely defeated. The color drained from his face as he muttered to himself.

Clearly, his only hope now lay with Sixth Master. After all, Sixth Master was the great backer behind the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way and the sole official spokesperson for the Hex Family of Macau—bar none. In Macau, let alone all of Hong Kong and Macau, who would dare disrespect the Hex Family of Macau?

In fact, if his opponent hadn’t casually produced one hundred million US dollars and so nonchalantly presented the top-tier American Express Centurion Black Card right at the start, Ke Xiangdong would have already flipped the table and refused to honor the game. The reason he hadn’t was because he didn’t dare, and because he knew all too well the saying that only a mighty dragon dares to cross the river.

After all, Ke Xiangdong was, at best, a puppet, a high-level employee. He was nothing like Sixth Master, who wielded immense power and status within the Hex Family of Macau. There were far too many things he had to consider. He had no desire to recklessly court death.

”Hello, Sixth Master? It’s me, Xiao Ke, Ke Xiangdong…” He once again dialed Sixth Lord Hee’s number.

On the other end of the line, Sixth Lord Hee was on his way to the Casino of the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way. Seeing another call from Ke Xiangdong, he couldn’t help but frown. A flicker of light crossed his eyes as he answered the phone. ”What is it now?” he asked slowly. ”Didn’t I tell you to keep them occupied? Is there another problem?”

”Sixth Master, I brought in the four best players from the casino to test him. In a single hand, they lost nearly one hundred million Macau currency,” Ke Xiangdong whispered, not daring to raise his voice.

”They lost nearly one hundred million Macau currency in a single hand?” Sixth Lord Hee’s eyebrows shot up. He was genuinely startled, and in that instant, the matter commanded his full attention.

It wasn’t about the money anymore. What concerned him was *how* the man was winning—it was too bizarre, too absurd! He knew a thing or two about the top players at the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way; they were highly skilled and renowned even on a global scale.

But now, four of them had tested one man and lost again. A grave expression settled on his face. Could it be them?

”Just keep them stable for now. I should be there in about ten minutes,” Sixth Lord Hee said slowly after a moment of contemplation, then hung up.

After ending the call, Sixth Lord Hee ordered the driver, ”Speed up. I need to get to the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way in ten minutes!” Fortunately, he wasn’t far, so if they sped, ten minutes was easily achievable.

”Yes, Sixth Master!” his driver responded, slamming his foot on the accelerator and causing the car to surge forward.

...

On the other end, hearing that Sixth Master would arrive within ten minutes, Ke Xiangdong felt as if he had grasped a life-saving raft. He let out a long sigh of relief, and his racing heart began to slow to a more normal rhythm.

He wasn’t an idiot; on the contrary, he was extremely shrewd. From that phone call, he had already discerned Sixth Master’s attitude. It seemed that even Sixth Master believed their opponent was a figure of great importance. Otherwise, his tone wouldn’t have been so grave, nor would he have promised to arrive in ten minutes.

Just who was Sixth Master?

He was the sole spokesperson for the Hex Family of Macau!

Across all of Macau, there were probably only a handful of people whose status could compare to his.

So, if their opponent were just some ordinary person, why would Sixth Master be so serious and rush over personally within ten minutes? At this thought, Ke Xiangdong lost all inclination to return to the VIP room. He went straight downstairs to the parking lot to wait for Sixth Lord Hee to arrive.

By now, the city lights were dazzling, and the streets of Macau were past the peak traffic hour. A black Rolls-Royce sped along the wide roads, reaching the parking lot of the Casino of the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way in just a few minutes. Upon seeing the car arrive, Ke Xiangdong immediately walked over respectfully, opened the rear door, and bowed. ”Sixth Master, you’ve arrived.”

”Hmph.”

A majestic voice emanated from within the car. A middle-aged man in a black trench coat stepped out, his eyes sharp and his presence commanding. He exuded an extraordinary aura, one that naturally projected a sense of authority. This was a man with a powerful presence, and he was, of course, the man Ke Xiangdong called Sixth Master—Sixth Lord Hee.

”Where are they?” he asked coldly as soon as he stepped out, his eyes scanning the area. Anyone could hear the dissatisfaction and indignation in his tone, which could be summed up in one phrase: burning with rage.

He was furious with Ke Xiangdong, his useless brother-in-law, for being so incompetent and landing him in this mess. To date, they had lost over three hundred million US dollars. He was also furious with their opponent. Who did this person think he was, daring to provoke a tiger on its own territory? Daring to cause trouble at the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way, a casino under the protection of the Hee Family? It was simply outrageous—a death wish!

”S-Sixth Master, they’re upstairs. In the top-floor VIP room.” Hearing Sixth Lord Hee’s cold, anger-laced voice, Ke Xiangdong flinched and spoke with a quaver.

”The top-floor VIP room?”

A cold glint flashed in Sixth Lord Hee’s authoritative eyes. With a wave of his hand, he snorted, ”Hmph. Let’s go up.”

With that, he led his men toward the elevator that went to the casino’s top floor.

The elevator doors slid open, and Sixth Lord Hee strode in imperiously with his men. Then, as if suddenly remembering something, he couldn’t help but ask, ”Who is our opponent? Did you find out their background or status?”

”Well…”

Ke Xiangdong hesitated before lowering his voice. ”Sixth Master, I don’t know his background. All I know is there are three of them: an old man, a young man, and a middle-aged man in his thirties or forties. I think the Centurion Black Card belongs to him. The one gambling against us at the table is the young man. His skills are formidable!”

”Just three of them?” Sixth Lord Hee frowned, the doubt in his eyes deepening.

They dared to cause this much trouble with only three people?

He sank into deep thought and only snapped out of it when the elevator doors opened again. He straightened his clothes in the elevator mirror, then strode out. The contemplative look on his face had been replaced by a mask of impassivity, his eyes sharp and imposing.

Perhaps because Ke Xiangdong had forgotten to close the door when he left, and no other staff member dared to touch it, the VIP room door was ajar. They could even hear Chen Fei’s impatient, yawning voice from within. ”Hey, can you guys at least try to pull yourselves together and play a few serious rounds? What’s the point of just handing over money hand after hand?”

Hearing Chen Fei’s incredibly arrogant words, Sixth Lord Hee couldn’t contain his rage. His face darkened as he pushed the door open and walked in, snarling, ”What arro—”

He didn’t even get the word out before his imposing eyes landed on the person standing behind Chen Fei. His expression changed in an instant, contorting in horror. His face turned visibly pale as cold sweat poured from his forehead like a waterfall, and his limbs went ice-cold and limp.

An ordinary person at Ke Xiangdong’s level wouldn’t recognize Chen Yaoyang, the acting head of the Hong Kong Chen Family, but Sixth Lord Hee, as the most outstanding individual of the previous generation of the Hex Family of Macau, recognized him at a glance. But that wasn’t the most terrifying part…

The most horrifying thing was that he had never, ever imagined that the Great Elder of the Hong Kong Chen Family—a man revered as an ancestor—would be standing right before him, alive and in the flesh. If he hadn’t been fortunate enough to have met the man once before and seared his face into his memory, he would never have made the connection. He couldn’t—no, he *wouldn’t*—believe that the Great Elder of the Chen Family was actually here!

After all, even the oldest, strongest, and most terrifying former Clan Leader of their own Hex Family of Macau was merely a contemporary of this man, with their strengths being roughly on par! As far as he knew, both were A Level Ability Users, one of the Fire Element and the other of the Wind Element.

But now, this legendary monster, a figure who was undoubtedly an ancestor to someone like him, was standing right here. And from start to finish, he had been standing behind Chen Fei like a servant, head bowed, without even taking a seat!
