”Sixth, are you sure you’re not joking with me right now?” Hee Yuanpei took a deep breath, his eyes trembling as he spoke.

”Clan Leader, do you think I would dare to joke with you about something like this?” Sixth Lord Hee said with a wry smile. He naturally understood why the Clan Leader didn’t believe him, but it couldn’t be helped. This was the truth, and they had no choice but to accept it.

With this thought... He couldn’t help but speak again, ”Clan Leader, just now, Chen Yaoyang from the Chen Family privately revealed some information to me. It’s about that young man...”

”About that young man? Speak. Continue,” Hee Yuanpei said, his voice suddenly becoming stern.

”Clan Leader, you must remember the news we received a while ago, right? About that senior member of the Ma Family who was suddenly and inexplicably severely injured. We still don’t know who did it...” Sixth Lord Hee said, pausing slightly to give Hee Yuanpei time to react.

”Of course, I remember. This matter is of great importance. If that elder from the Ma Family truly succumbs to his injuries and passes away, the Ma Family will suffer a major blow. They will surely fall from their current position in a short time and might even never recover,” Hee Yuanpei said, a mix of sympathy and anticipation flashing in his eyes.

He sympathized because if the Ma Family’s old monster really died, they would inevitably suffer a huge blow. They would be unable to hold onto their peak position as the third-ranked among the Five Great Noble Families and might even be brought to ruin.

”GULP... But Clan Leader, do you know who did it? Chen Yaoyang just told me... it was that young man.”

HSSS! Hee Yuanpei’s pupils contracted as he drew in a sharp, cold breath.

The old monster from the Ma Family... what kind of figure was he? He was a Living Fossil-level ancestor whose power was on par with their own Hee Family’s Old Clan Leader and the Chen Family’s Great Elder! He was the Sea-Calming Divine Needle of the Ma Family! But now, to hear from Sixth Lord Hee that this very old monster was wounded by a young man... it was truly hard to accept.

”Clan Leader, should we notify the Old Clan Leader?” Sixth Lord Hee asked in a hushed voice from the other end of the phone.

Although it was somewhat improper to suggest going over the Clan Leader’s head, there was no choice. He truly believed this matter was beyond their ability to handle, and if it wasn’t dealt with properly, it could lead to a major disaster.

”The Old Clan Leader is not in the clan.” After a moment of silence, Hee Yuanpei shook his head and said.

”The Old Clan Leader isn’t here?” Sixth Lord Hee froze, his composure shattering. ”Then what should we do?”

”I’m heading over right now. You call He Che immediately and tell him to get his ass over there!” Having made his decision, Hee Yuanpei immediately hung up the phone.

Sixth Lord Hee then realized that He Che was the key to this entire matter. He Che had set the trap and detained the person; he couldn’t escape responsibility.

But when he took out his phone to call He Che, the line was unreachable. Damn it, that son of a bitch actually turned off his phone now!? He was so furious he almost smashed his phone.

This matter involved several terrifyingly powerful figures; one could only imagine how disastrous the consequences could be. And now, that bastard He Che had turned off his phone. Was he trying to doom the entire Hee Family?

”Hello, it’s me, Sixth Master. Find that bastard He Che and drag him over to the Nine Heavens of the Milky Way immediately! This is a direct order from the Clan Leader! I want to see that scoundrel within half an hour! Now move!”

He dialed a secret number within the clan.
