Chapter 3003: Chapter 16: Outside Wandering Bar

”—Scared the life out of me! Scared the life out of me!”

”—I was just here to see what the legendary Wandering Bar looks like, and I ended up encountering a Big Wizard causing a scene! If I didn’t hear it wrong, it seemed like there were also people from the Edge Academy involved?”

”—What’s the background of that Big Black Cat? And that Green Robed Wizard!”

A petite witch held a cup of milk tea, sipping aggressively, each swallow followed by a heavy sigh, as if she could expel the fright she experienced at the Wandering Bar.

When the incident happened, she and her companion were seated not far from the bar, so they felt the presence of the Big Wizard most intensely.

But despite her constant chatter, her companion seemed to be in a daze, his eyes blank as he followed beside her, looking lost and disillusioned. He hadn’t even taken a sip of the milk tea he had just bought.

Seeing him about to bump into a Gargoyle coiled beside a roadside column, the petite witch had to pull him back.

”Are you listening to me at all?” she asked, somewhat irritated.

”What?”

Her companion halted his steps, his eyes gradually regaining clarity, but his expression was becoming strange. He looked her over: ”—Well, didn’t you see the appearance of that Big Wizard just now?”

”Who dares to look!”

The petite witch was still uneasy, patting her flat chest and taking a deep sip of milk tea: ”Heaven knows what temperament that Big Wizard has! Let me tell you, although you have more social experience, when it comes to dealing with high-level wizards, I have more experience! In such situations, it’s safest to keep your head down and not look... if you happen to meet a petty Big Wizard, who smacks you half to death for glancing at them and claims you offended them, such a lawsuit would have no resolution even if it went to Danghag...”

”Su Shijun.” Her companion interrupted her relentless chatter and uttered three words.

”What?”

”The one who just broke into the Wandering Bar is Su Shijun, that Upper House Member from the Moon Council. Haven’t you always wanted to take a photo with her and get her autograph?” Her companion’s tone carried a hint of sympathy: ”—I believe it was probably the closest chance you’ll ever have to be near her in your life just now.”

A blood-curdling scream from the street startled passersby.

”Why! Why didn’t you tell me just now!” The petite witch was furious, grabbing her companion’s robe as if intending to drag him back to the Wandering Bar.

”Because I was too stunned.”

Her companion answered honestly, simultaneously thwarting her intentions: ”Besides, I don’t recommend going back now... when the people from Absolution told us to leave, they were in a hurry, and I clearly saw that as soon as the place was cleared, the people from Absolution also rushed out at lightning speed!”

”Who? What absolution?”

”The Absolution Hunting Team, the hunting team that broke open the doors and barged into the Wandering Bar... they’ve been the most rapidly ranking hunting team these past two years, supposedly supported by several major families within the Wizard Council, with the potential to become a Super Hunting Team in the future! You’re already a university student now, even if you don’t like hunting, you should have some understanding of this kind of information...”

”Tch...”

The petite witch sneered, her tone somewhat dismissive: ”Even if I don’t like hunting, I know what weight a Super Hunting Team carries. That Absolution, how could they easily become a Super Hunting Team? Do they have a Legendary Wizard?”

Her companion’s expression turned odd as he glanced at her.

”I feel like you, an aristocratic disciple, are less informed than the people on the streets!”

He shook his head slightly, looked around, and lowered his voice: ”—Do you know who the captain of the Absolution Hunting Team is? Zheng Qing! The Jiuyou student who graduated from the First University after only two years... it’s rumored he’s the principal’s secret offspring, and the principal has been enhancing him since childhood, even crafted a set of Super Magic Armor for him, once worn, he’s a Legendary Wizard! Do you know why Su Councilor hurriedly went to the Wandering Bar today? The ’Fat Sheep’ we saw might just be the legendary secret child of Su Councilor and Zheng Qing! Then the ones who burst in with the Absolution Hunting Team should be none other than Miss Jiang from the Zhongshan Jiang Family, who has a marriage contract with Zheng Qing. If you go back now, you might stumble across some shady dealings and end up really getting slapped to death by Su Councilor... Didn’t you see the Edge Academy Law Enforcement Team and relevant departments didn’t dare to get involved in this?”

”Hold on, hold on, I’m getting a little confused.”

The petite witch had long forgotten the milk tea in her hand, blinking in confusion: ”Are you saying the Wandering Bar was sealed today because it crossed paths with the secret child of a secret child?”

”...You could interpret it that way.”

”Who told you Miss Jiang has a wedding contract with that Zheng Qing?”

”It has spread all over the streets! I thought it was just a rumor, but seeing today’s situation...” he shook his head, took a deep sip of milk tea, and then spoke again: ”—If there’s no marriage contract, where does she get the courage to confront Su Councilor head-on? That’s clearly the confidence only a primary wife would have! On the contrary, Su Councilor’s relationship with that someone has always been unclear, it’s obvious their relationship is special...”

He pursed his lips.

Exhaled a breath of muddy energy.

Though his tone carried some disdain, his expression couldn’t hide deep envy.

”Nonsense!”

The petite witch shook her head repeatedly: ”Both the Qingqiu Su Family and the Zhongshan Jiang Family are elite clans, how could the Miss Jiang of both families get involved in a primary wife dispute? That’s too absurd... it would make everyone laugh. Also, if that Zheng Qing was really as powerful as you say, why didn’t he just smash the Wandering Bar, and instead had two witches handle it?”

”I do know a little about this; after graduating two years ago, Zheng Qing vanished on Buji Island, no idea where he went... Although the Absolution Hunting Team has been competing everywhere the past two years, he hasn’t been seen participating, so I think it’s true...”

”Shh!”

The petite witch tugged at her companion, making a shushing gesture, while casting a hostile glance at a warlock nearby holding a flower cat, she dared to bet that he had been eavesdropping on their conversation!

As if sensing the witch’s hostile gaze.

The warlock holding the cat coughed lightly, changed direction, and leisurely left.

After turning into a little alley, the flower cat in his arms twitched its ears and mocked: ”I never knew you were that old man’s secret child! It’s an honor... Uh, where are you off to? The Wandering Bar is over there!”

”Am I crazy to go to the Wandering Bar now! Didn’t you hear those two little ones say they were all there just now!” Zheng Qing snapped: ”The relevant departments have urged many times for me to go...”

”How old are you to call others little ones?” The flower cat raised a paw, dug at its ear, and after a bit of snark, shifted its tone: ”What about the Wandering Wizard? Not gonna beat him up to vent some frustration?”

”—This matter has nothing to do with him, no need.” Zheng Qing clearly wanted to avoid drawing trouble.

With no spectacle to watch, the flower cat felt a bit bored, lifted the tip of its tail, and wiped its mouth: ”Tsk, just because you don’t care about the title of ’secret offspring’ doesn’t mean Poseidon or those Great Elves don’t care... they’re still in school, bearing the label of a secret offspring is not so easy to bear!”

Finally, Zheng Qing halted.

Turned to look in the direction of the Wandering Bar.

The expression on his face was somewhat complex.

After a long while, he ultimately did not turn around, but continued to walk forward, his figure quickly disappearing into the dark depths of the alley.
