High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1129: Chapter 191 The Charm Gun was Taken Away

Zheng Qing’s two talisman guns were ultimately taken away by the Yellow Flowered Cat.

This was because Yellow Flowered Cat said it could find Mr. Wu to help Zheng Qing repair the guns.

According to Yellow Flowered Cat, having Mr. Wu repair the talisman guns would not incur any cost—after all, Zheng Qing was his student—and the teacher could also upgrade the spell formula on the body of the gun, thereby preventing the spells from being damaged or erased after firing a couple of shots.

It sounded good, but the young cost student was quite suspicious that a more important factor in Yellow Flowered Cat’s actions was to limit his ’destructive power’. After all, he already had a record. Recently, of the two shots he fired, one exploded the descendant of Satoguya and the other nearly killed a student from the school.

If Zheng Qing did not plan to spend his life in isolation in the special prison in Danghag, then certain self-restraint was absolutely necessary.

Professor Yao’s reaction to this matter was quite telling.

He approved of the Yellow Flowered Cat taking away Zheng Qing’s two charm guns, puffing on his pipe.

”Even if you don’t take them away, the academy was planning to ’keep’ his charm guns for him,” Old Yao said, biting on his pipe and puffing clouds of smoke while chuckling, ”This custody is limited to within the school... After all, First University is an institution, not an Hunting Team Arena nor a free hunting ground of the New World. Allowing students to carry the Law Book is already quite forgiving.”

”Perhaps you should draft a new school rule that forbids students from carrying any magic items that are too lethal on a daily basis,” Yellow Flowered Cat suggested, covering its nose. The smokey office was increasingly unbearable for its sensitive sense of smell.

The more Zheng Qing heard, the worse he felt inside.

”The atmosphere in Starry Sky Academy isn’t that much different from an arena,” the young cost student bravely voiced his thoughts. In his view, since Starry Sky Academy advocated ’supreme combat ability’, then First University should not restrict students in this regard.

Old Yao bit his pipe and glanced sidelong at the boy, ”But you are a student of Jiuyou Academy... Moreover, allowing them to fight does not mean the school allows them to kill. Those two shots of yours were a bit out of line.”

The Yellow Flowered Cat moved its paw away from its nose, squatted, and looked at Zheng Qing seriously—even its tail stopped waving.

”This is also the last thing I want to remind you of,” Yellow Flowered Cat seriously looked at the boy with its ears perked up, ”You haven’t even passed the assessment to become a registered wizard yet, you’re not truly a wizard. Indiscriminate use of blood talismans will cause a great burden on your body, not only affecting your health...”

With that, Yellow Flowered Cat raised its paw, tapped its forehead, and continued, ”but it will also create unnecessary obstacles in your further progression on the path of a wizard.”

Zheng Qing was fully aware of the harmful effects of using blood talismans on the body. He had not planned to use blood talismans as his common talismans, just occasionally preparing one or two as a last resort.

Compared to Yellow Flowered Cat’s admonitions, Zheng Qing found another message it indirectly hinted at more intriguing.

”How do you know I used blood talismans?!” Zheng Qing remembered he had never mentioned this to Brother Huang.

Yellow Flowered Cat blinked, turned its head to look at Professor Yao with a peculiar expression, ”Doesn’t everyone know?”

Old Yao bit his pipe, smiled, shook his head gently, and coughed lightly, ”After your shot at the descendant of Satoguya, there was a record made with the Trident Sword. The school has a copy of that record.”

Zheng Qing nodded blankly.

So, the school knows, but what does that have to do with Brother Huang?

However, the professor and Brother Huang clearly did not plan to explain more to the young man.

Yellow Flowered Cat stretched out lazily, pulled its body, then shook off the loose fur, and turned to look out the window.

Through the gap in the curtains, the outside world was still pitch dark.

”That’s all I have to say... If there’s nothing else, I’m going to leave now.” It turned and walked towards the edge of the desk, its tail inadvertently sweeping past Zheng Qing’s nose, causing the boy to barely resist the urge to sneeze.

Zheng Qing forcibly held back this impulse, which made his face turn bright red and nearly squeezed tears from his eyes

Yellow Flowered Cat noticed the boy’s teary-eyed expression and mistook it for reluctance to let it leave, feeling slightly moved.

”Don’t make that childlike face; you’re already an adult.” Yellow Flowered Cat stopped walking, turned its head for a glance at the boy, ”If there’s something, just write a note and slip it under the door... You know which shop it is, right?”

The shop Yellow Flowered Cat was referring to was naturally ’San You Bookstore’.

Zheng Qing took a deep breath and nodded vigorously. It was not really appropriate to correct Yellow Flowered Cat’s misunderstanding.

”Won’t you sit for a while longer?” Professor Yao, who had been standing near the window, removed his pipe from his mouth and asked with a smile, ”I just remembered, a few days ago, Lu Town Botanic Garden sent over some Ah Que Flower Tea. The taste is just right, why not have a couple of sips before you go?”

Zheng Qing clearly saw Brother Huang’s throat move, swallowing a large gulp of saliva.

But it did not stay.

”There are two mice still in the shop; I’m not at ease.” Yellow Flowered Cat lightly leaped onto the windowsill, sideways, slipping behind the curtain, which made the latter half of its words sound muffled, ”After the Awakening of Insects, hibernating bugs have all crawled out, everywhere’s a mess... I always need to run faster than those reptiles to avoid capsizing in the gutter.”

Zheng Qing was quite certain there was a deeper meaning in Brother Huang’s words, but he could not decipher it.

On the other hand, Old Yao probably understood.

Therefore, he did not continue to prevent Yellow Flowered Cat from leaving, only asking one last question, ”Tomorrow morning, the School Works Committee and other departments might issue their disciplinary recommendations for student Zheng Qing... Do you want to come over and listen in?”

The silhouette of Yellow Flowered Cat had already disappeared behind the curtain, leaving only a shaking distorted shadow, which ceased its distortion upon hearing this.

After a long pause, a cold meow came from behind the curtain: ”This is your school’s own business, handle it however you want, what does it have to do with me... If you have the guts, why don’t you just expel him?!”

With that said, the curtain slightly shook, and the shadow completely vanished.

Upon hearing Yellow Flowered Cat’s irresponsibly remarks, Zheng Qing’s pallid face turned terrible.

Old Yao took a step forward, lifted the curtain to look, and indeed, there was no cat on the windowsill. The window was also tightly closed, and even the cold draft that had faintly wafted through before was utterly gone, as if everything was just Zheng Qing’s illusion.

The professor turned back, looked at the pallid-faced boy, and frightened him, ”Did you hear that... Even that cat says we should expel you! Why can’t you just be trouble-free?!”

How should I know?

I want to just go to school quietly too!

Things have turned out this way; I am even more desperate than you, alright?!

Zheng Qing slumped his shoulders, his expression despondent.
