Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 500: Chapter 271: For My Weaker Self of Years Past (Second Update)

Within three days, Cameron Spencer had thoroughly investigated Nick Zeller and the Winters Family.

However, he still didn’t know where Eleanor Armstrong was.

He was eager to see her, to find out how she was doing, to tell her that the boasts he made years ago have now all come true...

Looking at his work schedule, Cameron Spencer realized he couldn’t stay any longer in the Capital City, so he didn’t delay, and called Nick Zeller directly.

”Mr. Zeller, are you free to have a chat?” Cameron Spencer asked amiably.

Nick Zeller laughed and said, ”I’ve been quite busy lately, is there something Mr. Spencer can’t say over the phone?”

Cameron Spencer knew Nick Zeller was likely trying to avoid him.

He smiled slightly and said, ”What I want to say is probably what you want to know, otherwise why would you send that peach wood sword to young Winter? Right?”

Nick Zeller was silent for a moment, then said solemnly, ”Alright, when do you want to meet?”

”If you’re available, now, at once. I may be returning to the Southern Region soon,” Cameron Spencer sighed, showing his reluctance.

”Okay, where should we meet?” Nick Zeller quickly set aside what he was working on.

Cameron Spencer said, ”If it’s convenient, you come to my place, or I come to your place?—We both live in the same community, either is convenient.”

”My place then. You know my address.” Nick Zeller said without hesitation.

It was morning, Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne had gone to work, the old Daoist went to a Celestial Path Temple in the suburbs of Capital City to meet his colleagues.

Gabrielle Winters hadn’t been seen since morning, she must have gone out.

Nick Zeller was busy reviewing a feng shui blueprint for a client, which was why he was at home.

And he was the only one at home.

Cameron Spencer nodded, ”I’ll be right over.”

Five minutes later, Cameron Spencer was already sitting in the living room of Nick Zeller’s spacious apartment.

He was holding a document envelope, which he placed on the coffee table between them.

Nick Zeller made him a cup of tea and placed it beside the document envelope.

Cameron Spencer touched the document envelope, scrutinized Nick Zeller deeply, and suddenly asked, ”Mr. Zeller, do you know of someone named Eleanor Armstrong?”

As soon as he spoke, Cameron Spencer keenly felt Nick Zeller’s breathing became more labored.

But soon, Nick Zeller regained his composure, and said flatly, ”No, I don’t. Why?”

”Oh, why do you still want to conceal it? I already know,” Cameron Spencer was slightly moved, ”Zeller, you know, don’t you?”

Nick Zeller’s hand almost started trembling.

He kept a stern face and said coldly, ”Know what? I don’t understand Mr. Spencer’s meaning.”

”Don’t understand?” Cameron Spencer laughed boisterously, ”Don’t understand why you’re nervous?”

He leisurely opened the document envelope, took out several DNA test reports, and arranged them word by word in front of Nick Zeller.

”Take a look yourself, and after you see, you’ll understand my meaning.”

Nick Zeller’s pupils suddenly contracted, and his body even involuntarily leaned back as if he wanted to distance himself from Cameron Spencer.

But his gaze was firmly drawn to those DNA test reports.

One report was a parent-child relationship test, and the other six were kinship tests for sibling and sister relationships.

The parent-child test didn’t mention who the two parties being tested were.

But those six kinship test reports were for him and the individual members of the three sisters from the Winters Family!

Nick Zeller suddenly looked up, his face filled with anger: ”You investigated me?! You actually investigated me!”

”Of course.” Cameron Spencer nodded as if it were a matter of course, ”I’ve been looking for Eleanor for so many years without finding any information about her. Suddenly seeing something related to her, wouldn’t I investigate?”

”After investigating you, although you don’t look like me or her, your age is there, forcing me to suspect whether you have some ulterior motive.”

”So the simplest way is to first determine whether you have any relation to me or her.”

”In modern society, there’s no need for guesswork, DNA speaks clearly.”

Cameron Spencer clasped his hands together, resting them on his legs in a confident stance.

Nick Zeller laughed coldly: ”You’re afraid I might use this opportunity to blackmail you?”

”That’s also one of the reasons, I have to be cautious.” Cameron Spencer smiled faintly, ”When your mother Eleanor left me, I had no idea she was pregnant. If I had known, I would never have let her leave.”

Nick Zeller couldn’t believe the depths of Cameron Spencer’s shamelessness.

He clenched his fists, and said in a hoarse voice, ”Since you’ve done a parent-child test, I won’t beat around the bush with you.”
