Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 471: Chapter 255: Wedding Date (Second Update, for Alliance Hierarch Zishu Qianqian+)_2

[Lucas Harlow]: I know, but with me here, don’t worry, there really won’t be any problems. Give me your bank account.

Lawrence Winters saw Lucas Harlow persistently asking for her bank account, worried that Lucas Harlow intended to compensate her personally, and quickly replied: It’s really not necessary, actually I reported to the police just to scare that spoiled brat. Since we’re all okay, let’s just leave it at that.

Lucas Harlow’s impression of Lawrence Winters grew even better.

Such a sensible girl, yet being scared by Aiden Sheldon like that.

Sigh, in the future, we really can’t let Ruby Sheldon entangle Lawrence Winters, who would dare to have such a friend?

Besides, he’s only half an uncle to Ruby Sheldon, not really a close relative.

Can’t save it, so be it, goodbye.

Lucas Harlow thought about staying away from Ruby Sheldon in the future, while continuing to send messages to Lawrence Winters: It’s really the Sheldon Family compensating you, once the money arrives, they’ll have you sign a release form. It’s not just a handout.

Lawrence Winters was still hesitant, typing a reply: ...It’s really unnecessary, how much money can it be? What’s the point...

Before she could send it out, she saw Lucas Harlow send her a number, seven figures.

Lawrence Winters: !!!

Without thinking, she quickly opened her mobile banking app, copied her bank account and sent it over, along with a big bunny sending a heart emoji. Sending you a heart.JPG.

Lucas Harlow found it amusing, shook his head, and sent Lawrence Winters’ bank account to the Sheldon Family’s accountant.

This was obviously the family’s private account, not the Sheldon Consortium’s public account.

After sending the bank account, Lawrence Winters thought about ringing in seven figures by the New Year, feeling very cheerful.

She stood up with a bottle of Maotai wine, pouring drinks for everyone while saying auspicious words, amusing the old Daoist and Nick Zeller into laughter.

Even Kenneth Osborne drank a few glasses.

Because they were staying together and didn’t have to drive after dinner, everyone indulged themselves and had a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

After the New Year dinner, everyone waited until the clock struck twelve, exchanged ”Happy New Year” greetings, and Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne even hugged under the watchful eyes of the elders.

This hug officially confirmed their relationship.

Kenneth Osborne was very excited, and immediately said to Gabrielle Winters: ”Aunt Gabrielle, I hope to marry Nora soon.”

Gabrielle Winters had no objections at all, smiling and saying, ”Alright, as long as Lawrence agrees, I don’t mind. But, marriage must be considered carefully. Although we’re not selling a daughter, a house, banquet, and betrothal gifts are all necessary.”

Nick Zeller was already drunk, his mind buzzing, and when he heard Gabrielle Winters talking about ”betrothal gifts,” he immediately followed with a drunkenly slurred, ”...Yeah, betrothal gifts, we’ve also got a dowry...”

Gabrielle Winters smiled and nodded, ”Yes, we also have a dowry.”

The old Daoist snorted, didn’t think much of Nick Zeller’s behavior, but nodded and said, ”Dating without the intent of marriage is just being a flirt. It’s good you want to marry Lawrence, but remember, marrying her means marrying into her family, you must accept us too.”

Kenneth Osborne agreed with a smile, ”I know, Nora has explained it to me. Later, the three of you will be taken care of by Nora and me.”

”Ha! You agreed so quickly!” The old Daoist laughed, ”You have two elders in your family too, can the two of you handle supporting five elders?”

”No problem, I’ll work hard to make money.” Kenneth Osborne quickly pledged his loyalty, ”Besides, I’ll make sure you all have full insurance, commercial insurance, social insurance, all medical expenses covered.”

”Hmm, that’s more like it.” The old Daoist laughed until his eyes were narrow, ”Alright, just make sure to treat Lawrence well. Our Lawrence is truly blessed!”

Kenneth Osborne recalled the terribly unfortunate events of Lawrence Winters’ childhood, thinking the old Daoist truly loved Nora—such an unlucky little darling in his eyes was considered ”truly blessed”...

Lawrence Winters also had a bit of wine, feeling slightly tipsy.

When she heard Kenneth Osborne talking about wanting to marry sooner, her initial thought was to playfully refuse, since they couldn’t just set a wedding date all at once, right?

But she wasn’t sure if she was just dizzy or what, she actually followed up saying: ”If you’re setting a date, set it for the second half of the year, my luck isn’t great in the first half, but after July it’ll improve, perfect for marriage!”

”Hahaha... my little apprentice, you’re in such a hurry to get married! You’ve actually calculated it?!” The old Daoist laughed so hard he nearly couldn’t straighten his back.

Lawrence Winters was a bit embarrassed, but tried to maintain composure, saying: ”It’s alright, after all he’s already proposed...”

Actually, she did it for fun a long time ago, she didn’t really believe in it that much.

She wasn’t sure why she suddenly remembered it today and said it out loud.

Kenneth Osborne saw she didn’t object to marriage at all and was delighted.

Unable to resist, he pulled her over in front of everyone, lowered his head, and kissed her lips.

Lawrence Winters felt nervous and bashful to the extreme, hurriedly buried her head in his chest, and refused to lift it out again.

The old Daoist laughed heartily, saying: ”I really wish I had a suona, right now I’d play a tune and send you two off to the bridal chamber!”

Gabrielle Winters was also very happy, shedding happy tears, ”Our Lawrence has grown up, she’s getting married! I can finally be at ease.”

The old Daoist at this moment raised his eyelids to take a glance at her, then looked at the utterly drunk Nick Zeller, thinking once his disciple sobers up, there’ll be more to stir things up.

Thinking about it, he yawned and stood up, saying: ”I’m going to sleep, oh dear, too tired, getting old, can’t stay up late anymore...”

Then, he walked towards his room.

He then heard Kenneth Osborne asking Gabrielle Winters: ”Aunt Gabrielle, since we’re already talking about marriage, I want to ask if Nora’s father can attend her wedding?”
