Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 462: Chapter 251: Girl, Where’s Your Backbone Now? (First Update)

Lucas Harlow stared at Aiden Sheldon on the other end of Ruby Sheldon’s phone, his expression turning cold.

”Brother-in-law, Betty hasn’t been harmed, and no one has disrespected her. Acting like this will only prevent Betty from finding friends who truly care about her.”

Lucas Harlow then said coldly to Ruby Sheldon, ”Betty, your father is acting out again for your sake. Can you really watch as another person suffers because of you?”

Ruby Sheldon was frightened by Lucas Harlow’s icy gaze, shrinking into herself like a small quail, pitiful, innocent, and harmless.

Her amber eyes quickly filled with tears as she shook her head anxiously, ”No, no, it won’t happen, it won’t happen...”

Turning her gaze back to the phone, Ruby Sheldon trembled with her lips, softly pleading: ”Dad, please don’t do this... that sister didn’t disrespect me... we were just joking... and really, second brother was wrong, it’s already difficult for us not to compensate her. To punish her further... Dad... Dad... They really aren’t your match...”

Seeing his most beloved younger daughter so scared, Aiden Sheldon felt both heartache and frustration, along with uncontrollable anger.

He tried to soften his tone, saying, ”Betty, this matter has nothing to do with you. You don’t need to apologize for others. That Miss Winters’ troubles are entirely her own doing.”

”I’ve seen many people like her, with a tiny bit of ability thinking they’re exceptional, always striving to be the best. Just for a bit of self-esteem, they disregard other people’s dignity and character without restraint!—Such people, if not taught a lesson, who knows how many immoral things they might do in the future!”

Lawrence Winters, to this point, has never been scared like this.

The power of Mr. Sheldon needs no one to explain; she personally researched the rankings of the nation’s top ten wealthiest individuals and was clear about their capabilities.

If the tenth-ranked Spencer Group is reachable for ordinary people using leverage.

Then, as each rank goes above, their power grows exponentially.

Leading to the number one ranked Sheldon Consortium, even people like Mason and Graham, at the pinnacle of national power, must deal with carefully.

So what chance does she have?

At this point, Lawrence Winters suddenly regrets dragging Kenneth Osborne into this.

One should take responsibility for their own actions.

She can’t allow this matter to implicate her friends and family.

Seeing Lucas Harlow about to confront Aiden Sheldon, Lawrence Winters decisively made up her mind.

She lightly coughed, stepped over to Ruby Sheldon’s side, pushed Lucas Harlow aside, and said to Aiden Sheldon on the phone, ”Mr. Sheldon, if you’re unhappy with me, sue me all you want. But I hope you remember, don’t drag my family and friends into this. I don’t have many friends, but I count every single one, and I hope you retain your dignity as the wealthiest, and only deal with me.”

Aiden Sheldon raised his eyebrow, his expression still disturbingly stern, he sneered and said, ”Only deal with you? Don’t you know what it means to strike at the heart? You’ve offended my only daughter, Aiden Sheldon’s, and still hope that your family and friends can escape from the fate of being implicated by you? Why didn’t you think carefully before speaking, about whom you can offend and whom you cannot?”

Lawrence Winters didn’t expect that Aiden Sheldon, as the wealthiest person in the nation and ranks among the world’s top ten wealthy individuals, would have such a narrow mind.

Just for her momentary quick mouth taking advantage of Ruby Sheldon, not only her but even aiming to eliminate her family and friends!

At this point, Lawrence Winters is not very worried about her big uncle Nick Zeller and old Daoist, because their work areas barely overlap with Aiden Sheldon.

Aiden Sheldon might want to trouble Nick Zeller and old Daoist, but he must consider whether he has the blessings to spare.

At this moment, she is most worried about Kenneth Osborne.

Kenneth Osborne’s company has just started, and if because of her, it gets targeted by the wealthiest person nationwide, continually tripped up, then Kenneth Osborne might as well wash up and sleep, forget any ambitions to make his company bigger and stronger.

Selling his AI Vision Promise to Francis Johnson’s SSA Private Equity would be slightly better.

Lawrence Winters knows Kenneth Osborne very well, starting his own artificial intelligence company has been his dream since his teenage years.

She cannot allow her actions to rob Kenneth Osborne of his lifelong dream.

In that instant, Lawrence Winters clenched her fists with determination and decisiveness, saying to Aiden Sheldon on the phone, ”I can immediately sever ties with my parents, friends, spouse, even children and be a lone soul in this life! If you want to vent your anger, unfortunately, your anger targets are innocents.”
