Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 145: Chapter 91: Everybody Loves a Handsome Guy (Second Update)

Blake Leaf summoned up his courage and walked into the gleaming lobby of the building.

There was a reception desk set up by the building’s property management department, where two young women in uniforms stood very professionally, nodding and greeting people with warm smiles.

Many office workers carrying laptop bags and dressed in suits hurriedly swiped their cards at the elevators.

The two young women kept bowing and greeting people: ”Hello, welcome.”

Blake observed for a while and realized that to go to the eighth floor, one must have an access card to enter the elevator area, otherwise, one would be stopped at the entrance of the one-way passage.

After pondering, he went outside to buy some coffee and a burger with the Golden Arches logo and then approached the tall girl next to the reception desk, smiling, ”I’m delivering food; someone on the eighth floor at Ride Wind Commercial Properties ordered breakfast.”

The girl’s smile immediately faded, and she impatiently pointed to another side: ”You can’t use this staff elevator; you must use the freight elevator over there.”

Well, any elevator would do, as long as he could get up there.

Blake smiled and thanked her, heading towards the freight elevator.

Of course, the conditions of the freight elevator couldn’t compare to the staff elevator.

Blake endured the unpleasant smell inside the elevator and finally reached the eighth floor.

He stepped out from the freight elevator, walking through the winding corridors for quite a while before his path became clear.

It turned out that half of the entire eighth floor was the domain of Ride Wind Commercial Properties Ltd.

An entire frosted glass wall doubled the space, making it exceptionally spacious and impressive.

In the middle of the glass wall was a grand cherry wood door, solemn and elegant, clearly reflecting substantial power.

Blake certainly couldn’t continue pretending to be a delivery person now.

He went to the open rest area on the floor and finished the Golden Arches breakfast he was holding before coming back to the entrance of Ride Wind Commercial Properties Ltd.

By this time, many people were already at work, pushing open the doors, greeting the reception, and joking with colleagues, everyone seemingly in good spirits.

Earlie, Blake had thought about having an emotional reunion like meeting a long-lost relative, but he calmly abandoned that idea after pausing at the entrance.

Composing himself, he approached the reception desk and asked the receptionist there, ”Hello, has Mr. Soochang Feng arrived? I’m a journalism student from Metropolitan North University, and my name is Blake Leaf. I’m currently working on a feature about the nation’s most outstanding female entrepreneurs, and I’m hoping to meet with your Mr. Soochang Feng for an interview today.”

Before the woman could refuse, Blake added with a smile, ”It won’t take long, fifteen minutes is all I need.”

He further explained, ”This is a special assignment from our professor, specifically for us to make surprise visits to get the most authentic interview material.”

As he spoke, he flashed his ID card.

Indeed, the ID showed Metropolitan North University.

Of course, it didn’t specify the department, and he wasn’t about to pull out a student ID and risk being exposed.

”I see...” The receptionist was hesitant, seeing the ID card showing Metropolitan North University. Typically, without an appointment, someone wouldn’t be able to see their executives, let alone someone of Mr. Su’s rank.

However, Metropolitan North University holds very high status nationwide.

The journalism department at Metropolitan North University isn’t something one can easily offend.

The receptionist contemplated for two seconds and said, ”Please wait while I check.”

With that, she quickly conferred with another receptionist and personally went to Mr. Soochang Feng’s CEO office, telling the executive secretary, ”Mr. Liu, there’s apparently a student from Metropolitan North University’s journalism department outside, wanting to do a surprise interview for a series on the nation’s most outstanding female entrepreneurs, only needing fifteen minutes.”

”A student from Metropolitan North University’s journalism department?” The executive secretary sounded pleasantly surprised. ”I’ll go ask Mr. Su.”

As it happened, Soochang Feng had arrived early today. Usually, she wouldn’t come so early, but she had insomnia the whole night before, so she got up early and came to work first thing in the morning.

The executive secretary knocked first, and after Su allowed him to enter, he opened the door, eagerly asking, ”Mr. Su, there is a student from Metropolitan North University’s journalism department outside hoping to conduct a surprise interview for a series on the nation’s most outstanding female entrepreneurs, only needing fifteen minutes, would you consider it?”

Every day, Soochang Feng is quite busy attending various meetings and socializing with high-ranking bank officials and societal figures, her schedule is always packed.
