Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 113: Chapter 76: I Only Want to Spend the Weekend With You (First Update, Asking for Recommendation Tickets!)

Lawrence Winters continued browsing the #Lucas Harlow Super Topic#, and discovered someone had leaked information stating that the film crew would be hosting an event at Syon Square in Capital City’s CBD tomorrow, and Lucas Harlow would be attending.

She quickly pinned this message and informed everyone that if they were free tomorrow, they should come to support Lucas Harlow.

After all, it wouldn’t do for others to show support while her dear Blue Brother had no one there.

Otherwise, people might say Lucas Harlow is being ”propped up without any real support.”

After browsing through the topics for the day, she thought she should check on that ”Metal Frenzy Far Beyond Reach” who had just followed her back.

What a truly cheesy name.

Since they were already mutuals, Lawrence Winters followed her routine and browsed this person’s Weibo.

It was clear it was a new account; the registration was just a while ago and was likely attracted by her promotion of the Lucas Harlow Super Topic.

Lawrence Winters smiled self-satisfiedly, pleased with her efforts in promoting Lucas Harlow and achieving some effect.

She then took a look at this person’s Weibo content.

Turns out, it’s a guy, and a narcissist at that?

Lawrence Winters saw this fan had posted several selfies, and he looked pretty good, with a style similar to Lucas Harlow, giving off a sense of loneliness amidst the bustling city.

But the problem is, Lucas Harlow’s vibe was from film stills; having such a vibe in real life is just awkward and extremely childish.

Lawrence Winters pulled at the corner of her lips, thinking this guy can’t be a middle schooler, yet he’s taking such juvenile photos, really should get it checked out...

Of course, she just thought that internally; since this person is a new fan of Lucas Harlow, she didn’t want her impressions to drive Lucas Harlow’s fans away.

She knows how hard it was for Lucas Harlow to reach where he is today.

After looking at this person’s Weibo for a while, Lawrence Winters felt bored and was ready to go to sleep.

Suddenly remembering the event tomorrow, she needed to show support and poked their dorm group chat.

[Lawrence]: Crazy Sister, Three Billion Sister, are you free tomorrow? Want to go to Syon Square in the CBD to shop for clothes and cheer for my Blue Baby?

[Three Billion Sister]: Not going, I have to rush my thesis tomorrow. I start work at the internship company next Monday. Smug.JPG.

[Lawrence]: Ahhh! Congratulations! Where are you hitting the jackpot, Three Billion Sister? Don’t forget to pull your little sister along on your rise! Big Boss Tea-drinking.JPG.

[Three Billion Sister]: Definitely, definitely! Once I handle the big boss behind this company, I’ll make you two my executive secretaries.

[Crazy Sister]: Didn’t expect Three Billion Sister not only wants to handle the boss but also to become the boss! Admiration Roll.JPG.

[Crazy Sister]: Lawrence, I’ll ask Joyce Shaw, see if he can come with us.

[Lawrence]: Frantically nodding.JPG.

Crazy Sister immediately pokes Joyce Shaw on WeChat: Little Joyce, are you asleep?

[Joyce Shaw]: When my wife calls, I’m definitely not asleep!

Joyce Shaw quickly switched from work mode and asked Crazy Sister what’s up.

[Crazy Sister]: Lawrence asked me to go to Syon Square tomorrow to buy clothes and support Lucas Harlow, do you want to come along?

Joyce Shaw hesitated a bit.

He was planning to stay up late to finish a mini-program and then take Crazy Sister to a hot spring resort in the suburbs for the weekend to propose.

He didn’t want many people to know about this plan yet, fearing the embarrassment if the proposal failed and the negative impact on Crazy Sister.

Kenneth Osborne, of course, knew about it; he kept no secrets from Kenneth.

Joyce Shaw thought for a moment and tentatively asked: [What if I just want to spend the weekend with you alone?]

Crazy Sister read it and was instantly overjoyed, forgetting to reply, holding her phone with a smile that made her too happy to speak.

Joyce Shaw, seeing her not reply for a long time, felt a little sad, thinking to himself if he’s less important to her than her roommates...

He wanted to give in but felt unwilling, and finally complained to Kenneth Osborne: ”Kenneth, manage your woman, why is she clinging to someone else’s girlfriend during such a prime weekend?”

Kenneth Osborne was also staying up, writing code, though he was revising his graduation thesis.

His master’s thesis on artificial intelligence received high praise from his advisor, who wanted him to refine it to submit to Science.

That’s an internationally renowned scientific journal that has published many artificial intelligence papers in recent years.

Hearing Joyce Shaw’s complaint, he turned and asked, ”What’s up?”

”Lawrence wants to go shopping and support that little celebrity at Syon Square tomorrow, and she wants Crazy Sister to accompany her. You know I had plans for tomorrow...” Joyce Shaw took out the pre-purchased proposal ring box, slammed it onto the desk, looking at Kenneth Osborne with grievance.
