Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 115: Chapter 77: Targeted (Second Update)

Lawrence Winters ran over to him, smiling, ”Did you get a cab? Or are we taking the subway?”

Kenneth Osborne looked at the much slimmer Lawrence, whose facial features had become more defined. The round face had shrunk, beginning to feel like a palm-sized face.

The light green pullover sweatshirt was a size too big, hanging loosely on his frame, yet he didn’t appear like a stick; instead, he exuded youthful exuberance.

Especially her skin, which was once so dewy it was almost transparent, like a ripe peach that would burst with sweetness at a bite.

Now that she had slimmed down, her skin was still fair but resembled mutton fat jade, rich yet not translucent, possessing a certain texture.

Her hair had just been washed, still damp, without time to blow-dry. It lay partially wet on her shoulders, making her dark eyes appear like a freshly washed night sky.

This version of Lawrence Winters was more beautiful than before, by more than just one level.

Kenneth felt this most deeply.

Previously, when Lawrence ran with him, many boys looked at her, but most with a sense of ”what a cute little girl” sentiment.

But now, those boys’ gazes had transformed into looks that men give to women, and more and more were inquiring about her name and major.

Kenneth himself was a man, so he certainly understood what those guys were thinking.

He looked away, glanced at his phone, ”I’ve already called a car; we can just wait at the East Gate.”

Cars called from outside couldn’t enter the school.

Lawrence nodded and hurried towards the East Gate, ”Then let’s head out quickly.”

When they reached the East Gate, the car Kenneth ordered had just arrived.

It took about forty-five minutes to drive from Yan University to Syon Square.

Perhaps because it was the weekend, there weren’t many cars on the road at this early hour.

When they arrived at the Syon Square casting event hall, there were still some open seats.

Each celebrity had their own fan support, and even Lucas Harlow’s fans were quite numerous.

Although Lawrence didn’t bring a megaphone, flowers, banners or posters this time, the other fans did!

Her original slogan, ”Lucas, fly freely, Ilan is forever by your side,” had been officially adopted by Lucas Harlow’s agency.

Everyone was happily shouting out loud, wave after wave, raising the heat in the hall.

Lawrence was delighted, joining Lucas Harlow’s fans with Kenneth and giving them a thumbs-up, ”Your banners are awesome!”

The fans didn’t recognize Lawrence but seeing her enthusiasm, assumed she was also a fan of Lucas Harlow. They quickly asked her, ”Are you one of us, a blue fan? I have some small posters here, would you like one?”

Without hesitation, Lawrence accepted, ”Of course, I’d love one!”

She made a funny face at Kenneth; after all, these weren’t items she had brought herself, but given by others, so it didn’t count as breaking the rules.

Kenneth silently took a step back, intending to distance himself from her.

This way, even if someone saw him, they’d just think he was a passerby standing coincidentally.

But his plan didn’t last long, as a plump middle-aged woman excitedly ran out from a side door, handing him a business card, ”Hey handsome, are you interested in joining the entertainment industry?! With your looks, I guarantee you’ll be famous in no time! Much more popular than Lucas Harlow!”

Just by looking at his face, her heart, despite seeing countless handsome men, skipped a beat!

And with his height over six feet, tall and elegant, he had a scholarly air rare among today’s stars.

She could almost see a superstar rising right before her eyes!

”If you’re willing, you can sign with our company immediately, and I’ll offer you the best terms! I’m agent Zoe Johnson; we are not a fraud company. We are a part of the Foster Consortium’s NewHuman Entertainment Ltd., renowned in the industry, and Lucas Harlow is also signed with our company!”

The woman felt she had discovered a treasure and was eager for Kenneth to join.

Kenneth gently shook his head, politely saying, ”Thank you for the offer, but I’m not interested in the entertainment industry.”

He didn’t take the woman’s business card either.

Just then, Lawrence heard Kenneth speaking behind her and instinctively turned to look.

She caught sight of the most disliked agent from NewHuman Entertainment, Zoe Johnson!

It was her!

Her refusal to promote Lucas Harlow had wasted such a good artist’s six years!

The lifespan of an entertainer’s career is short; how many people can afford to waste six years?!

Seeing her trying to persuade Kenneth to join the entertainment industry, Lawrence became even angrier, quickly walking over and holding back her anger to ask Zoe Johnson, ”Hello, may I know who you are?”
