Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 117: Chapter 78: Strange Intuition (Third Update)

Kenneth Osborne’s hand moved slightly, almost reaching out to block the little assistant’s phone.

He didn’t want Lawrence Winters to add Lucas Harlow’s assistant on WeChat, but he wanted Lawrence to make the choice herself.

From what he knew about Lawrence, she wasn’t the type of person to casually add others on WeChat.

But perhaps it would be different with Lucas Harlow, who saved her...

In the end, Lawrence just smiled and said, ”Oh, I’m just a regular little fan, not a big one... You already know my Weibo account, if you need anything, just send me a DM there. I don’t want to disturb you and Mr. Harlow.”

The little assistant was stunned for a moment.

No one had ever refused to add him on WeChat before.

Adding his WeChat would soon lead to adding Lucas Harlow’s WeChat...

Is this girl dumb?

But because of this, the little assistant looked at her with newfound respect.

She’s a nice girl, and truly a fan of Lucas Harlow as an actor, not just as a person.

Any actor seriously dedicated to their craft would appreciate fans like her.

The assistant didn’t get angry, he smiled, opened Weibo, followed ”Promise Worth a Thousand Gold,” and said, ”I’ll get Brother Blue’s Weibo account to follow you too. We must let people know we acknowledge your big fan status.”

Even someone as experienced as Lawrence Winters was a bit taken aback by this sudden favor.

She’s the kind of person who gets especially happy just by watching a celebrity.

Once she got closer and received the celebrity’s attention, she would become awkward and dare not do anything over the top.

Kenneth Osborne smiled slightly beside her.

He knew Lawrence’s ”preferring the dragon from afar” temperament all too well.

It seems that even if Lucas Harlow saved Lawrence, she didn’t feel particularly different about him.

Good, Lawrence’s enthusiasm should pass soon.

If not, frequently chasing Lucas Harlow’s activities, even if he could follow every time, he would have to fully disguise with a mask and sunglasses. If seen by acquaintances, Kenneth Osborne’s reputation would be at stake.

Shortly after Lucas Harlow’s assistant left, the crew officially announced the start of the event.

First, the crew’s producer, investors, and the main crew members gave speeches.

These people were humorous and quickly enlivened the atmosphere, addressing some pressing questions about the drama that everyone cared about.

Then, the male and female leads of the drama made their appearance, stirring the first wave of excitement on-site.

Because of a recent airport incident, these two leads had already suffered a significant blow to their reputation.

Their current traffic had drastically reduced, and many major fans had unfollowed. Many fans present were actually hired by their studio to fill in.

They initially relied on their popularity to attract and maintain fans, but now with their declining popularity, if this drama doesn’t explode, they would directly fall from the first-tier to the second, or even third tier.

Hence, this time, their attitude was very humble, and they were amiable and overly accommodating while engaging with fans on-site.

But the entertainment world is such a starkly realistic place.

When it was Lucas Harlow’s turn as a supporting actor to appear, the atmosphere instantly became electrifying.

This is the difference between being hot and not.

Lucas Harlow had already changed into a noticeably high-end suit, with no expression on his face. As he walked out from the dark room, he resembled a statue draped in moonlight, aloof yet gentle.

Lawrence Winters immediately joined the fans in chanting ”Lucas! Lucas,” jumping up and down, expressing her enthusiasm for her idol.

Lucas Harlow glanced in their direction, slightly curled his lips in a smile, and even waved at them.

Lawrence Winters felt so overwhelmed that her legs turned to jelly.

If Kenneth Osborne hadn’t caught her from behind, she would have fallen to the ground.

Lucas Harlow looked in her direction again before shifting his gaze. He picked up the microphone and said a few official words, hoping everyone would focus on the drama about to air, and promised to dedicate himself more to his acting career, finally revealing that he’s accepted a new movie role and would soon join the crew, hoping for continued support.

After speaking, he returned the microphone to the organizers and went back to the room, never coming out again.

He actually changed his clothes and directly left Syon Square.

Lucas Harlow’s little assistant secretly sent a private message to Lawrence Winters’ Weibo: [I’ve sent you the photos of Brother Blue at the airport that day. We’ve left, you can head out too].

Then he said to Lucas Harlow, ”Brother Blue, this ’Promise Worth a Thousand Gold’ is really interesting. She actually didn’t want to add me on WeChat.”
