Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 126: Chapter 82: This Man Is Truly Frightening (First Update)

But later, she got tired of it, and seldom thought of this dish again.

Didn’t expect Kenneth Osborne still remembered.

Alright then, let’s forgive his rudeness today.

Lawrence Winters praised his own generosity in his heart, and smiled at Kenneth Osborne to express gratitude.

Kenneth Osborne didn’t even look at her, but said to Joyce Shaw, ”This silverfish steamed egg custard, you can finally eat it now, right?”

Joyce Shaw’s eyes were a bit red, nodded to him, and then looked at Crazy Sister and said, ”My mom was from Yangzhou, she used to be great at making silverfish steamed egg custard.”

”After they left, I didn’t eat this dish anymore, because seeing it made me sad.”

”Last year, I got drunk once and told Kenneth, once I found a wife, I would take her to eat silverfish steamed egg custard. —— Didn’t expect he remembered.”

Crazy Sister was deeply moved, and quickly said, ”Then let’s order two portions! One portion isn’t enough!”

”No need, the dish portions are large.” Kenneth Osborne smiled and curled his lips, smiling slightly wickedly, ”Just you two eat, it’s fine. We don’t need to eat.”

Three Billion Sister raised both hands in agreement.

She didn’t love egg custard to start with, and adding small fish to it, the taste was simply...

Only Lawrence Winters pursed her lips, thinking that surely one couldn’t have too much hope for Kenneth Osborne, this guy.

A man whose mind is as small as the tip of a needle.

Isn’t it just to see her being smug, and deliberately undermining her confidence?

This man is really scary, using a bowl of silverfish steamed egg custard to please both Joyce Shaw and Crazy Sister, and at the same time dealing her a heavy blow.

Even more formidable than Yan Zi in ’Two Peaches Kill Three Warriors’.

Unprovokable, unprovokable...

At this moment, Lawrence Winters finally recalled her big uncle’s advice to stay away from people like Kenneth Osborne if possible, unless unable to maintain a good relationship.

Don’t even think about being hostile towards him, because she certainly couldn’t outmatch him...

Lawrence Winters sighed quietly in her heart, still her big uncle was good, she missed her big uncle.

She silently took out her phone and sent a WeChat sticker to her big uncle: A pleading bunny seeking a hug.JPG.

Her big uncle instantly replied with a sticker: Poor kid.JPG.

Then transferred 888.88 via WeChat.

Lawrence Winters was instantly healed, feeling overjoyed as she lifted her head, happening to meet Kenneth Osborne’s gaze, surprisingly not feeling angry at all, even smiled at him, then waved her phone demonstratively.

The chat page with her big uncle hadn’t been closed yet, Kenneth Osborne caught sight of the bright transfer symbol, his eyes lightly flickering, and casually looked away.

He lowered his head, took out his own phone, and sent Lawrence Winters a WeChat: the bill for money owed.

Lawrence Winters noticed a WeChat message came in, quickly glanced at it, surprisingly seeing it was from Kenneth Osborne.

Upon seeing the content, her shoulders immediately slumped.

She quietly tucked her phone away, deciding that out of sight, out of mind.

Inside the private room, Joyce Shaw and Crazy Sister, the two soon-to-be newlyweds, were full of excitement, talking endlessly, unintentionally falling into their own world.

Stuck together like glue, you look at me, I look at you.

Everything around is the entire world.

As for others? They don’t exist.

Lawrence Winters and Three Billion Sister watched for a while beside them, finding it interesting.

But when Joyce Shaw and Crazy Sister started the third time being oblivious to everyone else kissing, they were tired of watching.

Lawrence Winters thought for a long time, came up with a topic, and softly asked Three Billion Sister, ”Three Billion Sister, do you know Blake Leaf?”

Three Billion Sister casually responded with an ”uh-huh,” ”A computer bachelor, same grade level with us, our dorm is a joint dormitory with his.”

”Ah? Oh! We have a joint dormitory?” Lawrence Winters was shocked, ”Now? Still a joint dormitory?”

Three Billion Sister smiled slightly, ”Since the second semester of sophomore year, your brother Kenneth got into the integrated master’s and bachelor’s program and moved to the master’s dormitory building, we haven’t had any more interactions with that side.”

”Why is that?” Lawrence Winters’ eyes turned, suddenly understood, ”Kenneth Osborne used to be in the same undergraduate dorm with Blake Leaf? So the joint dormitory was initiated by Molly Zimmerman, right?”

”A teachable child.” Three Billion Sister tugged at her hair like tugging a child, ”Indeed, it was our room leader who found us the joint dormitory, saying it was from a dormitory belonging to her fellow townsman. Haha...”

So that’s how it was.

Kenneth Osborne moved away, so naturally, Molly Zimmerman didn’t need to continue ”joint” activities.

It seems Molly Zimmerman truly has been ”plotting” against Kenneth Osborne for a long time.

No wonder she took her as an ”imaginary enemy” once she arrived at school.

Lawrence Winters shook her head, thinking the Zimmerman Family was dealt a blow, they should quiet down for a bit.

As for the Spencer Family, there’s recently been no movement, indicating her and her big uncle’s deductions were correct.

In this matter, Mr. Wan didn’t dare make a fuss in front of the Spencer Family big boss, so he could only suffer silently.

Lawrence Winters smiled slightly proudly, but didn’t forget to continue asking, ”Then Blake Leaf, why do you mention the impoverished student subsidy?”

”Because Blake Leaf is indeed an impoverished student.” Three Billion Sister said, matter-of-factly, ”Everyone knew when we first enrolled in freshman year.”

”In the computer science department, there were so many boys, and he was the only one wearing a shirt that was too short and patched pants. Everyone viewed it as a curiosity, all saying how could someone be this poor in modern society, weren’t those in charge of poverty alleviation forgetting him?”

”Eventually we found out it wasn’t that the poverty alleviation people forgot him, but that he refused their help.”

”His parents were disabled people doing small business in a little town far down the line, deaf, one blind, reportedly repairing shoes for people.”

”He got into Yanda University, given his family background, he could have all his tuition waived, he refused to apply.”

”The local government wanted to subsidize his tuition and living expenses, he refused.”

”At school, people offered donations, his department wanted to list him as an impoverished student, he refused, he would rather work outside and serve tables than accept impoverished student subsidies.”

”A true brainwash case.” Three Billion Sister jeered sarcastically.

Lawrence Winters, having run around with Nick Zeller outside, meeting many people, generally could understand Blake Leaf’s mindset.

She cautiously said, ”... Three Billion Sister, seeing him like this, his sense of pride is very strong, don’t keep calling him ’impoverished student’ in his face.”

”He hasn’t accepted a penny of donation, why label him as an impoverished student?”
