Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 98: Chapter 68: An Army of One

They waited for about fifteen minutes, almost too exhausted to stand, when suddenly a commotion erupted at the exit.

It was like waves, rolling from back to front in succession, growing louder.

It turned out that the top-tier celebrity leads of the cast were coming out from the exit.

They were both wearing sunglasses and masks. One wore a trendy trench coat, and the other wore a branded sweatshirt down to the thighs, showing off slim legs in tights and white sneakers, very youthful and delightful.

Apart from Lawrence Winters and her friend Crazy Girl, all other fans at the scene were fans of these two celebrated stars.

As soon as they saw their idols, they immediately waved banners, held up placards, carried flowers and teddy bears, organized orderly by prominent fans and group leaders for a greeting ceremony.

Some went to give flowers, some gave teddy bears, and others dressed beautifully to stand next to the celebrities for photos.

The group leaders, armed with expensive long-lens DSLR cameras, ran back and forth capturing one stunning shot after another.

These photos were for fan welfare on social media sites.

Because for celebrity idols, it’s all about winning over fans with their looks, drawing them in with their faces.

The day they rely on acting to attract fans is the day they successfully transition, no longer bound by aesthetics.

So facing their passionate fans, these two stars took off their masks, revealing their trademark charming smiles.

Their fans went even crazier, shouting their names together led by prominent fans.

In comparison to these celebrity fans, Lawrence Winters and Crazy Girl didn’t stand a chance.

But Lawrence didn’t get discouraged.

She’s actually a very self-confident person, liking things because she likes them, regardless of others’ opinions.

Nick Zeller taught her from a young age the confidence and courage of ”I want it my way, not your way.”

So when seeing the passionate enthusiasm of other fans, she wasn’t scared off; instead, she perked up, jumping up and down and shouting loudly, ”Is my Lucas coming out too! Is my Lucas coming out too!”

Crazy Girl was talking to Joyce Shaw on her phone, nearly dropping it due to Lawrence jumping so hard.

She quickly told Joyce, ”Lawrence’s Lucas is about to come out, I’ll help cheer her on!”

Then she closed the video chat software.

Joyce: ”...”

He amusedly covered his mouth, looking back a bit sympathetically at Kenneth Osborne sitting behind him.

Kenneth was focused on writing algorithms and finding bugs for outsourced programming he took on.

Joyce thought, luckily he was using headphones to talk to Crazy Girl, otherwise Kenneth might have been thrown off completely...

Over there, Crazy Girl found the airport reception bustling with people, feeling quite novel.

It was her first time joining others as a celeb fan for airport reception, finding the loud shouting for their idols quite amusing, unable to resist reopening the video chat, telling Joyce, ”Little Joyce, look! So many people!”

Joyce happened to be drinking from a cup, almost spraying water onto the screen seeing the crowd of heads.

”So many people, you guys have to be careful about personal safety...” he couldn’t help but remind Crazy Girl.

Crazy Girl scoffed, disdainful of him, ”Such a steel straight man!”

In the wonderful spring, not focusing on the beautiful celebrity leads, but worrying about safety!

Crazy Girl ignored him, turned the camera towards Lawrence.

”Lawrence, like this, there’s no competing with those fans. Look at how many people there are compared to you?” Crazy Girl tried to console the already ”rampaging” Lawrence fan, ”Just have a look and head back.”

”No way.” Lawrence flatly refused, ”I said we’re not losing in spirit even if we’re outnumbered.”

With that, she flipped her wrist, took out a small loudspeaker, mischievously saying to Crazy Girl’s phone, ”Check me out! Though we have fewer numbers, we have high technology! Unlike those primitive wannabe star chasers relying on numbers!”

With that, she raised the small loudspeaker she brought from the basketball court, switching from jumping to shouting mode.

”Lucas Harlow!”

”Lucas Harlow!”

”Lucas Harlow!”

”Your cuties are here!”

Her voice was particularly clear and pleasant amidst the noisy chaotic backdrop, the quality of the loudspeaker really top-notch.

Her unexpected call stunned everyone at the exit.

The crowd’s noise suddenly quieted down, and all eyes turned towards Lawrence and Crazy Girl.
