Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 69: Chapter 54: Childhood Sweethearts (First Update)

Soon, Lawrence Winters couldn’t laugh anymore.

She quickly glanced at the photos in the towering thread floating on the homepage of the campus forum, swiftly took off her down jacket and wore it inside out.

That was much better.

After all, her Moncler down jacket was highly recognizable because it’s a famous brand, well-styled, and expensive, but she looked very good in it. It didn’t make her look fat at all; instead, it added a lively and bold aura.

Pairing it with jeans made her look even cooler when her hormones were surging.

Unfortunately, she was rattled by that ”towering thread.” She frowned and looked at Kenneth Osborne, saying, ”Kenneth, I know you’re especially popular with girls, but being this famous is way beyond my expectations.”

”What’s wrong?” Kenneth Osborne looked at her suspiciously. Seeing that she changed her jacket after looking at her phone, he also took out his phone.

The latest push from the campus app at Yanda flew right at him like a ’dragon riding face.’

He twitched his mouth, opened the app, went to the forum, and, as expected, there was a towering thread with the title: [Gossip about Scholar Kenneth’s Suspected Girlfriend~~~].

”What nonsense is this.” Kenneth Osborne frowned, but when he clicked on the photos, they showed him taking Lawrence Winters to a restaurant, riding a bicycle with her.

To be honest, the composition and mood were actually quite nice.

Kenneth Osborne held the bicycle handlebars with one hand, his other hand on the phone, chuckling as he asked Lawrence Winters: ”...Isn’t the fearless Little Heavenly Master afraid of gossip?”

”I’m not afraid of gossip; I fear being blocked by your admirers every day. How can I study?” Lawrence Winters pointed at Kenneth Osborne with her finger, laughing mischievously, ”I’ve sworn to be an inconspicuous little potato, buried in the sea of students at this school.”

”You can’t be a potato.” Kenneth Osborne mercilessly shattered her fantasy, ”A potato with a face like yours? Nora, since you’re going to school, even without me, many guys will chase after you. What will you do then? Still cover your ears and deceive yourself?”

”Huh? Why would they chase me?” Lawrence Winters looked at herself puzzled, ”Though I’m quite narcissistic, I have self-awareness. Do you know how much I weigh?”

Kenneth Osborne assessed her and tentatively asked, ”...A hundred pounds?”

”126 pounds.” Lawrence Winters bent her arm, gesturing, sighed, ”Kenneth, you’ve got it wrong. In your eyes, perfect Nora is actually a little chubby!”

Kenneth Osborne burst into laughter, rubbed her head, ”How do you know what I’m thinking? Alright, Nora, we’ve got some telepathic connection.”

Lawrence Winters pouted, ”What’s so funny? Kenneth, can I discuss something with you? If I’m ever exposed, could you clarify I’m not your girlfriend?”

”No way.” Kenneth Osborne immediately rejected, ”That’s your problem. What’s it got to do with me?”

He kicked his long legs, got on the bicycle, and motioned to Lawrence Winters, ”Hop on, I’ll take you back to the dorm.”

He originally wanted to walk around the campus with Lawrence Winters, but didn’t expect her to be spotted so quickly, so he decided to be a bit cautious for now.

He didn’t mind, but it was clear Lawrence Winters cared a lot.

Kenneth Osborne didn’t want to force her; he wanted things to happen naturally, for her to be willing.

Lawrence Winters jumped onto Kenneth Osborne’s bicycle, kept her head down low, as if sneaking back to her dormitory building.

But as soon as she hopped off the back seat, she was exposed.

No one expected it was the time when there were the most people in front of the building.

Once they saw Kenneth Osborne, the group of girls immediately started taking pictures of him with their phones.

Lawrence Winters froze for a moment, thinking darn it, wearing the jacket inside out was pointless. The photos would probably make her seem like a fool...

Hurriedly, she lowered her head and shrunk into the shadows by the roadside.

But Kenneth Osborne remained calm; perhaps he had been through this kind of situation many times. He casually stepped forward, shielded Lawrence Winters behind him, and then calmly swept his gaze over the crowd, drawing everyone’s attention to himself.

He said slowly, ”We have the right to our image. If I find out anyone posts pictures of me and her online, I will definitely have my lawyer pursue it to the end.”

As soon as he said this, those girls immediately started deleting the photos from their phones.

They were all students of Yanda, academic powerhouses from across the country who understood his meaning, right?

But more crucially, when the top student speaks, die-hard fans definitely heed his words!

After deleting their photos, no one was willing to leave. One brave girl asked, ”Kenneth, do you have a girlfriend?”
