Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 72: Chapter 55: Public Enemy of All (Second Update)_2

With her not-so-large eyes performing exceptionally, Shirley stared wide-eyed: ”Molly, you’re totally out of touch! Our Metropolitan North University is not like a film and drama school where both boys and girls are admitted based on intelligence, not looks!”

”But Kenneth’s looks would even hold their own against top stars in the entertainment industry, and in a place like ours, he’s like a once-in-a-lifetime find!”

”Alright, alright, stop rambling. While our school doesn’t admit based on looks, there are still plenty of handsome guys. Let’s not talk about this anymore; I’m off to study. Let’s go.” Molly Zimmerman said as she pulled Shirley out of the dorm room, seemingly forgetting to close the door behind her.

Shirley didn’t want to study and, after Molly left, sneaked back into her dorm, took out her phone, and snapped several high-resolution photos of the down jacket draped over the back of the computer chair, quickly posting them on the campus forum.

This time, she started a new thread, specifically noting the dorm building number but blurred out the dorm room number.

In the photos, only the jacket was clear, while the surroundings were filtered, but it was still evident it was a university girls’ dorm desk, right by the door.

The title she gave was: [Puzzle Resolved! — Unveiled~~ Kenneth’s Legitimate Girlfriend!].

She didn’t dare explicitly state who it was but provided several clues.

Such as, also from the Central South Province, often studying with Kenneth, good grades, particularly helpful, and living on the third floor of Building 38.

With that, Kenneth Osborne’s real girlfriend’s identity was almost revealed.

Girls living on the 38th floor immediately thought of senior public relations student Molly Zimmerman upon seeing the new post!

All her same-year classmates knew she was from Central South Provincial City, and her nickname was ”Molly the Good Samaritan.”

Also, she was seen studying in the library with Kenneth Osborne.

Lastly, there’s the high-definition photo of the down jacket!

It’s already been revealed to be Moncler’s new model this year, worth over ten thousand!

That’s solid evidence.

Within ten minutes, the news that Molly Zimmerman is Kenneth Osborne’s official girlfriend spread throughout Metropolitan North University via the internet.

The editors operating the campus network app, enjoying the spectacle, immediately pushed out a notification!

[Breaking News! Identity of Kenneth’s Official Girlfriend Confirmed~~~ See Details in the New Forum Thread~~~].

On the first day of school, no one was in the mood to study, all busy gossiping.

There were voices of doubt.

For instance, the girl who studied with Molly Zimmerman in the library that afternoon, asking her to help find Kenneth Osborne for a speech contest, knew that when Kenneth took a girl to dinner, Molly was still in the library, so Molly definitely wasn’t that girl.

She texted Molly, asking what was going on.

Molly just laughed it off, replying: [An innocent person remains innocent; explanations make one seem guilty].

Seeing Molly unbothered, the girl said nothing more.

There were also the Millionaire Sister and the Crazy Girl.

But neither intended to expose that the girl was Lawrence Winters, so their desire to refute wasn’t particularly strong.

They just didn’t expect everyone to pinpoint Molly Zimmerman.

If Molly didn’t take the blame, it would definitely fall on Lawrence Winters.

The Crazy Girl was a bit uneasy, quietly asking the Millionaire Sister: ”... Will this be bad for Lawrence?”

The Millionaire Sister didn’t care about such matters, tidying her meticulously styled hair and frowning: ”... You’ll know when you return. Do you think I should dye my hair burgundy or grandma gray? Which color do you think is more dazzling?”

The Crazy Girl rolled her eyes at her, thought it over, and said: ”... Grandma gray, burgundy is already passé.”

...

Fifteen minutes later, Molly Zimmerman returned to her dorm, while Lawrence Winters was still in the bathroom.

Molly closed the dorm door, blocking the stares she’d been getting along the way.

She smiled, hanging Lawrence’s down jacket back in its place, and went about her business, as if nothing had happened earlier.

Lawrence came out of the bathroom, drying her hair with a towel, and saw Molly apparently asleep on her bed.

She wanted to ask if Molly was really sick but felt it was too intrusive to frequently ask about illness.

Her uncle told her that bad things can’t withstand being talked about, so one must be careful with words and not speak carelessly.

Lawrence quietly turned off all the lights in the dorm, fearing to disturb Molly’s rest.

She sat back at her desk, which was filled with her skincare bottles and jars, functioning also as a vanity.

As she applied toner, serum, night cream, and oil to her face in order, she opened her phone to browse the campus network and familiarize herself with the school.

Though she’d been a student here for three and a half years, she’d never attended class and was still quite unfamiliar with the school.

Just as she opened her phone, there was another notification.

Seeing the title, her hand trembled slightly, afraid of being discovered as the one who had dinner with Kenneth Osborne.

She had no interest in being Kenneth’s girlfriend, especially after witnessing those girls’ craziness.

She was certain that if she was indeed Kenneth’s girlfriend, she’d become the ”public enemy” of the entire university’s female population!

This totally contradicted her life motto of keeping a low profile and working hard for money.

She quickly located the new forum thread revealing the true identity of ”Kenneth Osborne’s Legitimate Girlfriend.”

After reading all the posts, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, everyone thought it was ”Molly the Good Samaritan,” after all...

Even though she’d just arrived at the dorm, she clearly understood that the person hinted at in the post was Molly Zimmerman.
