Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 60: Chapter 49: Who Did I See?! (A Surprise in the Second Update)

Nick Zeller handling things, Gabrielle Winters and Lawrence Winters are both at ease.

He continued, ”We’ll settle down in the Capital City first. I’ll handle the business trips myself.”

His main place of business is still in the Central South Provincial City.

Capital City isn’t his home ground.

Gabrielle Winters didn’t mind and nodded, saying, ”Anyway, it’s only for half a year, we didn’t plan to stay in the Capital City long-term. Once Lawrence graduates and decides on a workplace, we’ll follow wherever he goes.”

After saying this, she carefully looked at Lawrence Winters and softly said, ”Lawrence, if you don’t want us to follow you, you can tell us. Your uncle and I always want the best for you.”

Lawrence Winters couldn’t be happier; why wouldn’t he want that?

She laughed, hooking one arm around Gabrielle Winters and the other around Nick Zeller, and loudly said, ”You guys are my portable treasures! How could I not want you to follow me?! — People have portable spaces, I have my portable mommy and uncle!”

Travel light and happiness is waving at you!

In the midst of her joy, Lawrence Winters remembered Kenneth Osborne’s suggestion and quickly asked, ”Uncle, are we flying or taking the high-speed train?”

”Good question.” Nick Zeller pursed his lips, took out his calculation chips, and said, ”Let me divine and see which method has the best luck.”

Lawrence Winters twitched her mouth, ”You even need to divine this?”

”Traveling is a big deal, how could I not divine?” Nick Zeller confidently laid out the chips on the coffee table in front of him.

Before long, he said, ”Take the high-speed train. The divination suggests that for our trip to the Capital City, taking the high-speed train on the sixteenth day of the first month maximizes benefits!”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

Alright, Uncle is impressive—Uncle makes the decisions.

She straightened up, her eyes darting around, and said, ”Then I’ll go pack my bags. It’s my first time living on campus, so I don’t know what to bring. Should I consult someone?”

”Pack what bags? We’ll buy clothes, shoes, and daily essentials in the Capital City. Just bring what you need on hand, like your notebook, phone, iPad, chargers—don’t forget those.”

Nick Zeller waved his hand and said to Gabrielle Winters too, ”Pack a few everyday wear items, the rest we’ll buy in the Capital City.”

Lawrence Winters was surprised, ”Why? I have so many new clothes and shoes I haven’t worn yet!”

Gabrielle Winters understood very well and smiled, ”Your uncle is right; the style here might be different from Capital City’s. They’re not expensive items, so buying them there and blending in with everyone sounds good, doesn’t it?”

”Sure sure sure!” Lawrence Winters immediately agreed, grinning, ”I’m most afraid of standing out, I just like blending into the sea of people, the best is when no one notices me!”

”Our Lawrence is like gold, she’ll shine wherever she goes.” Nick Zeller smiled and praised her while he went on his phone to book train tickets.

Lawrence Winters didn’t care at all, shrugging, ”...If I’m gold, eventually, I’ll be used up. You two are really extravagant.”

”Little miser. Money is there to be spent, who like you, smiled at us for the first time because your uncle showed you a hundred-dollar bill. — Born to be money-eyed.”

Gabrielle Winters tapped her nose, stood up, and went to pack as well.

Lawrence Winters raised her voice, ”...I’m still money-eyed now! Mom! Uncle! Show me that hundred-dollar bill again!”

”In your dreams.”

Nick Zeller and Gabrielle Winters both walked away, giving Lawrence Winters the chance to sneak back to her room and call Kenneth Osborne.

”Kenneth, my mom and uncle are both going to accompany me to Capital City for university, and my uncle plans to buy train tickets for the sixteenth of the first month.” Lawrence Winters explained her situation.

Kenneth Osborne frowned, ”...Accompany you for university? Not just sending you off?”

”Yeah.” Lawrence Winters delightfully lay on the couch with her legs up, ”My mom and uncle want to accompany me for my last half-year of university in the Capital City—surprise or not? Happy or not?”

Kenneth Osborne: ”...”.

What a surprise! What a joy!

He leaned against his bedroom window sill, not speaking for a long time. After a good while, he made the decision and said, ”Since your mom and uncle are going with you, I won’t accompany you. I’ll buy a plane ticket to go back to school first, and pick you up at the train station by then, along with Aunt Winters and Uncle Zeller.”

”Huh? No need to go through all that trouble.” Lawrence Winters refused without thinking, ”Taking a cab is so convenient now, my uncle also said he’d buy a car first when we get to Capital City.”

”Buy a car in Capital City? Can it be registered?” Kenneth Osborne laughed, ”Uncle Zeller is that capable?”

”Huh? Is it difficult?” Lawrence Winters blindly trusted Nick Zeller. Even if she didn’t understand, she didn’t care, casually saying, ”Anyway, if Uncle says he can buy it, he can buy it.”

Kenneth Osborne knew Nick Zeller’s capabilities and thought maybe he does have connections?
