Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 77: Chapter 58: Unparalleled Handsomeness

So Claire Harris furiously went online to post, criticizing Lawrence Winters from head to toe, and wrote down all the news she just heard from Molly Zimmerman.

Quickly, another high-rise was erected on the Yanda campus network forum.

This time, there was much more explosive material than the previous one.

Especially since the post was so vivid, it was as if she had been watching at the door of room 366 on the 38th floor.

”Exposure! Lawrence Winters clearly knew that the school god Kenneth Osborne was her roommate’s boyfriend, yet she deliberately acted pitiful and innocent, taking advantage when her roommate was busy with work and study and had no time to accompany her boyfriend!”

”Such girls even exist at Yanda! Despise!”

As soon as this post was out, the public opinion suddenly leaned entirely towards Molly Zimmerman, and even cleared Kenneth Osborne’s name in the process, leaving Lawrence Winters to take the blame alone.

When Molly Zimmerman returned to the dormitory, she saw the forum high-rise link sent to her by Claire Harris.

After reading it all, she leisurely replied with her real name: ”I am Molly Zimmerman. Everyone, please don’t get too excited, things are not as you imagine. Also, I believe my roommate Lawrence is not like that. Today’s incident was a misunderstanding, and I will apply to the moderator to have the post deleted.”

After posting this reply, she went back to her own business, as if she completely forgot she needed to contact the forum moderator to delete the post.

...

At this time, Lawrence Winters and Kenneth Osborne were watching a movie in the cinema.

Kenneth Osborne bought a large cup of cola, popcorn, and a small box of mochi ice cream.

In the winter cinema, which was hot and dry, it was perfect for eating ice cream.

Lawrence Winters liked eating things made of glutinous rice, so this mochi ice cream perfectly suited her taste.

She took small bites of the mochi ice cream while Kenneth Osborne occasionally handed the ice-cold cola to her lips.

She lowered her head, sipping a few gulps through the straw, then ate a bite of mochi ice cream, feeling extremely happy.

What attracted her more, however, was a male supporting character in the movie.

Although he didn’t have many scenes, just seeing him standing in the brightly lit, bustling hall in a pure black suit made her heart skip a beat.

When he turned his face, Lawrence Winters took a sharp breath.

Honestly, this person’s face wasn’t as handsome as Kenneth Osborne’s, and Lawrence Winters, having grown up accustomed to Kenneth’s beauty, was largely unaffected by others’ looks.

What attracted her about this person wasn’t his looks, but his aura.

Truly, it was this kind of elusive aura.

If someone had told her a second before watching this movie that she would be captivated by the aura of a fictional character in a film, she would surely scoff, mocking them for speaking without thinking.

But now, she not only felt a sense of defeat at being ’slapped in the face’ but also an ’oh, the irony’ kind of thrill.

That male supporting character stood amidst the glamourous backdrop, with a calm expression, hands in the pockets of his suit trousers, staring unblinkingly as the female and male leads embraced and danced intimately.

As the music began, every face was brimming with enthusiastic smiles, except for him, static in a cold black suit in the ending scene.

It was as if a vividly colored Western court painting by Goya suddenly featured a fine-lined Eastern ink portrait.

Yet it wasn’t awkward at all, there was a strange harmony.

The surrounding liveliness highlighted his extreme solitude, and Lawrence Winters swore she could see the deep-seated passion and fervor in his clear, cool almond-shaped eyes.

The movie ended, but Lawrence Winters sat in her seat, her heart still pounding fiercely.

Kenneth Osborne turned to look at her, raising an eyebrow, ”What’s wrong with you? Got dazed watching the movie?”

”No, no...” Lawrence Winters murmured, shaking her head, then suddenly remembering something, she immediately took out her phone, starting to search for that male supporting character’s name in the cinema.

”—Lucas Harlow! Wow! What a nice name! I’m a fan now, I’m a fan!”

Lawrence Winters used to follow celebrities, most passionately the Mason and Graham couple.

But the Mason and Graham couple were not part of the entertainment industry, so she never really delved into fandom culture’s ’poison.’

But this time, she knew she was going to genuinely follow a celebrity from the entertainment world for the first time!

If that small actor could be considered a ”celebrity,” that is.

Lawrence Winters searched for a long time but couldn’t find more information about this male supporting character.

”Ah, it seems he’s not famous yet, such a pity, with such a strong performance and so incredibly handsome!”

Kenneth Osborne’s face darkened, slowly repeating, ”...Incredibly handsome? Who are you talking about?”

”Lucas Harlow!” Lawrence Winters quickly held up her phone to show Kenneth Osborne, her big eyes sparkling, longing for Kenneth Osborne’s approval, ”Look, isn’t he handsome?!”
