Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 93: Chapter 66: As If Guided by Providence (Second of Today’s Two Chapters, Extended) (Part 2)

Even though it was a candid photo, the boy’s demeanor and grace were impeccable. His long eyelashes highlighted his phoenix eyes, making them exquisite like a painting, and his expression wasn’t cold, carrying a faint smile.

He resembled a small sun, emitting light and warmth, attracting everyone to draw near.

Summer Spencer gasped, then lightly sighed, ”Who is this man? Looking like this, he can’t be a student at your university, right?”

Molly Zimmerman twitched her mouth, ”Why does cousin say that? Why couldn’t he be a student at our university?”

”Yanda has the highest national college entrance exam scores. The vast majority of students come from ordinary middle-class families. In families like ours, kids go abroad for school as early as high school, and the more advanced ones even attend kindergarten abroad.”

”A boy like him, looking like that, how could he study well? Could he really get into Yanda?”

”If his family background is average, he should have started in the entertainment circle long ago. But even top stars in showbiz don’t have his aura or his looks. This shows he doesn’t need to make money in showbiz. — So, tell me, whose young master is he? Is his family background prominent? To reject you, his family can’t be bad. Maybe I can help you settle it.”

Summer Spencer smiled as she finished speaking and returned the phone to Molly Zimmerman.

Molly Zimmerman didn’t know what expression to show. After a while, she said slowly, ”Cousin, you really misjudged this time.”

”He’s indeed a student at our university. He got in three years ago with the highest entrance exam score in our Central South Province. While studying for his bachelor’s, he simultaneously applied for a bachelor-master program, and now, in just four years, he’s about to earn both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.”

Even someone as worldly as Summer Spencer was shocked at this point, ”So impressive?! What’s his name? Which department is he in? Let me see if we at Spencer Group have a place for him.”

Molly Zimmerman: ”...”.

Her heart fluttered a little as she tentatively asked, ”Cousin, you wouldn’t have taken a fancy to him, would you?”

She then repeatedly assured, ”If cousin, you have your eye on him, I would never compete with my cousin!”

Not that I could compete anyway...

She was at least aware of that.

Molly Zimmerman secretly assessed Summer Spencer, deeply admiring her smart, beautiful, and well-off cousin.

Summer Spencer looked at her in astonishment, then laughed after a while, ”You really do have a crush on this man. No wonder you’d jump into a lake...”

Molly Zimmerman, embarrassed and angry, lightly kicked Summer Spencer, ”Cousin!”

”Alright, I’m just kidding.” Summer Spencer no longer jested and said seriously, ”You’re really just a girl. You get infatuated just by looking at a face. Although he’s good-looking, I’m not one to fall in love at first sight just because of a face. You can rest assured.”

”Really?” Molly Zimmerman wasn’t satisfied, ”Cousin, have you seen such a handsome man? He even outshines all the celebrities, hasn’t he?”

Summer Spencer was silent for a moment, tilted her head, and said, ”...There used to be someone quite comparable to him, but not the same type of looks, and not at the same level. — That person is beyond our reach.”

”There’s actually such a person?” Molly Zimmerman was surprised, widening her eyes, ”You’re not talking about... Mason and Graham, are you?!”

After all, Mr. Mason’s looks were indeed striking.

Summer Spencer laughed, lightly brushed off the topic, and said, ”What I meant was, just looking at a face isn’t attraction enough for me. So tell me, what’s this person’s family background really like?”

”I investigated it. It’s a very ordinary family. His parents are just small townsfolk in River City, and he has a sister who works as a low-level civil servant in the local city government.”

Molly Zimmerman sighed and slumped on the car, looking at the scenery whizzing by outside the window, saying frustratedly, ”...But he doesn’t like me; he likes one of his little hometown friends, who’s also my roommate. — She’s the one who pushed me into the lake!”

”...Didn’t you say that girl was quite chubby? How can someone with that figure be fancied by such a man? Is the man blind?” Summer Spencer was incredibly surprised, ”I really want to see what kind of woman such a stunning man likes.”

Though she wasn’t lovestruck by Kenneth Osborne’s looks, everyone appreciates beauty. Beautiful things are universally loved, but not everyone has the desire to monopolize them.

Summer Spencer felt about Kenneth Osborne as if she were admiring a beautiful painting or an exquisitely crafted piece of jewelry, without the urge to take it home.

Molly Zimmerman also had a photo of Lawrence Winters on her phone, and she quickly found it to show Summer Spencer, ”Look, my roommate Lawrence Winters.”

When she took a photo of Lawrence Winters, of course, she didn’t use any beauty filters, just the default rear camera with the uglifying function of an iPhone.
