Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 94: Chapter 66: As If Blessed by the Gods (Part 3)

Summer Spencer leaned over for a look and nodded, ”This face is not bad, better-looking than yours for sure.”

”Cousin, whose side are you on exactly?” Molly Zimmerman dropped the act in front of Summer, showing her true self completely.

Summer laughed, ”Listen to me, though she is indeed a bit chubby, her figure is far worse than yours. — So that handsome guy at your school really must have an issue with his eyes.”

After saying that, she remembered something and asked, ”...How’s her family background? It’s not better than yours, right?”

”Her background is quite average too, just a typical small-town family from River City,” Molly played with her phone listlessly, ”And she’s especially scheming, always pretending to be innocent in front of others, but behind the scenes, she is always against me.”

”I see...” Summer completely understood, staring at the photo of Lawrence Winters for a while before saying, ”Is she your roommate and also from your department?”

Molly nodded, saying flatly, ”Yeah, her grades are pretty good, often skipping classes but still ranks first.”

”What’s the use of grades?” Summer sneered, ”So many top scorers from the college entrance exam work at our company, and yet they have to respectfully call me Director.”

Molly’s eyes twinkled, ”Cousin...”

”Don’t worry, I’ve got this for you,” Summer smiled, patting her hand reassuringly.

...

Molly Zimmerman took a long leave to go home and recover.

This matter quickly spread around Beida’s Department of Public Relations.

The Spencer Group’s upcoming recruitment fair in public relations wasn’t affected at all.

Molly specifically sent emails to the faculty and student council leaders, remotely overseeing the recruitment fair’s affairs.

Because of this, everyone’s opinion of her improved quite a bit.

Lawrence Winters, Crazy Sister, and Three Billion Sister weren’t impacted at all.

Crazy Sister, after revealing her feelings with Joyce Shaw, almost immediately fell deeply and inseparably in love.

That morning, Crazy Sister got up early, went to the cafeteria with Joyce for breakfast, and then came back carrying two bags of breakfast.

”Two little lazy cats, get up, I bought breakfast for you,” Crazy Sister spiritedly placed the breakfast on the table, then came over to poke both Lawrence and Three Billion Sister in their covers.

Three Billion Sister mumbled, ”I didn’t sleep all night rushing a paper, I’m skipping breakfast today.”

Lawrence woke up, rubbing her eyes, ”What time is it?”

”It’s already seven,” Crazy Sister checked her watch and then sat back at the computer, chatting with Joyce.

Lawrence jumped out of bed, clicked her tongue and shook her head, ”Crazy Sister, you went to bed at almost 2 AM last night? Getting up before 6 AM to meet your darling, if you keep this up, you’ll burn out.”

”Hah! How could a girl like me possibly ’burn out’!” Crazy Sister turned around, playfully spat at her, her phoenix eyes twinkling with a hint of charm.

Lawrence stared for a moment, then marveled, ”No wonder they say love is the best skincare for women. Look at your skin, it’s simply flawless!”

Crazy Sister touched her own face, suddenly jumping up, ”Ah! I was in such a rush this morning, I forgot to put on moisturizer!”

She rushed to the bathroom to quickly wash her face and then start her skincare routine.

Lawrence also dashed into the bathroom, hurriedly saying, ”My turn now! Wait a minute!”

Crazy Sister, who had been jogging with Joyce in the mornings lately, was even more agile than Lawrence.

She got to the bathroom first, closed the door, washed her face, and then came out to apply her skincare cream.

Lawrence entered the bathroom, quickly washing her face and brushing her teeth.

When she finished tidying up and came out to eat breakfast, Crazy Sister remembered Joyce’s reminder and said to Lawrence, ”Sister Lawrence, there’s a basketball game between the Computer Science department and ours this afternoon. Come be a cheerleader with me!”

”No way!” Lawrence pointed to her own waist, slightly self-deprecatingly saying, ”This figure isn’t fit to appear courtside, it’ll make the basketball cry.”

”Oh, stop joking.” Crazy Sister pinched her cheek fondly, ”If you don’t go what will I do? Please, come with me...”

”Ask Three Billion Sister to accompany you...” Lawrence gestured towards Three Billion Sister’s bed.

Previously, Crazy Sister and Three Billion Sister would always go out together.

Crazy Sister spread her hands, solemnly saying, ”Three Billion Sister dislikes that I have a boyfriend now and thinks I’m not pure anymore, she’s ashamed to be associated with me...”

Three Billion Sister snorted groggily at this moment, mumbling with sleepy annoyance, ”...Who’s talking bad about me? I can hear you...”

Crazy Sister shrank her head, sneakily looked at Lawrence and smiled, clasping her hands in front of her in a pleading gesture.
