Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2450: Chapter 2451: Return to Tianyun (17)

Once she was acknowledged back, Su Yixing would be her second brother, and he would also help cure her husband.

Su Xing thought this way.

Then she added, ”I’ll figure out a way to cure you in the future.” Now that this person is her husband, she would find a way to cure him, make him like a normal person.

Complexity flashed in Taoming Ye’s eyes, but he gently smiled and said, ”Thank you.”

”What are you thanking me for? You’re my husband now, I should think about you.”

Taoming Ye hesitated a bit before reaching out and gently holding Su Xing’s hand.

Unlike when he led her to the table earlier, he held on without letting go; when he held her hand, he lightly squeezed it a bit tighter.

Su Xing stiffened slightly, then her face grew a little warm. He was really gentle.

After dinner, it was time for the wedding chamber...

”Let’s sleep.” He helped her remove the ornaments from her hair, and gently led her to the bed.

Su Xing was very nervous, extremely nervous. Although she had feelings for him now, and he was her husband, but the wedding chamber... well, she really wasn’t ready for it. Besides, she was a bit worried about whether her husband’s frail health could handle it.

Taoming Ye seemed to grasp Su Xing’s feelings and gently smiled, ”The wedding chamber can wait for later, until my health improves.”

”Phew...” Su Xing immediately let out a big sigh of relief, her whole body relaxing.

Taoming Ye looked at her like that, and softly laughed.

”Don’t laugh!” Su Xing said, blushing, pretending to be fierce.

Taoming Ye restrained himself a little, but still smiled warmly as he undid his wedding robe, gently saying, ”Let’s sleep early, tomorrow morning you have to get up early to serve tea to your parents.”

Su Xing awkwardly undid her own wedding robe, and before she even finished taking it off, she realized a problem and, regardless of whether she would feel embarrassed or not, hurriedly whispered to him, ”Since we aren’t consummating the marriage tonight, I won’t bleed. If the maidservants see it tomorrow when they clean the room, won’t rumors spread? Either guessing I’m not a virgin, or that you aren’t capable. How about this, I’ll put some blood on it.”

Without waiting for Taoming Ye to speak, she bit her finger and wiped some blood on the white part of the bedsheet.

Once done, she happily said, ”There!”

Turning back, she saw him gazing at her smiling broadly, with a hint of ambiguity in his smile.

She immediately blushed deeply.

He spoke, ”You seem quite knowledgeable.”

”Ahem.” Su Xing coughed awkwardly. ”I heard it from my grandma. My grandma said that the first blood is very important, the husband’s family wants to see it, but we aren’t consummating tonight...”

He gently chuckled but suddenly added, ”Why don’t we consummate the marriage tonight?”

”What?!” Su Xing exclaimed in surprise, looking up at him.

”You don’t want to?”

”Not really...” Su Xing said in a very small voice. Although she wasn’t ready, he was her husband now; they were married, and living as a couple was actually okay for her.

”Then what’s the matter?” His tone remained gentle and patient.

”It’s just... just...” Su Xing lowered her head, twisted her fingers, and stammered for a long time before quietly saying, ”Isn’t your health poor? If it fails halfway, um...” This might not be very good.

It could even hurt his manly dignity and cast a shadow on his mind.
