Chapter 2446: Chapter 2447: Return to Tianyun (13)

—Her sister An Baobei is not a modern person, but an ancient person from Tianyun!

She is now in the Imperial City, equivalent to being under the Son of Heaven’s feet, it’s very easy to inquire about things.

And in the past six months, she found out that the King of Tianyun is named Su Changyi, and the Crown Prince, Second Prince, Third Prince, and Fourth Prince are named Su Yi Jing, Su Yixing, An Yiqing, and An Yiyun, respectively.

It couldn’t be such a coincidence!

However, she also heard that it seems the King and Queen have been unconscious, never waking up, and the Crown Prince Su Yi Jing is exercising the king’s power on their behalf.

She cannot confirm whether the King and Queen are unconscious, but she is almost certain now that the King and Queen here are her parents!

”Maybe their unconsciousness is because they traveled to the modern era...” Su Xing sat at the table, cradling her face in both hands, murmuring to herself.

Then she raised a question: ”Then could they travel back here again?”

No matter whether they have traveled back, she must find a way to see her parents. After dying on a mission in the modern era, her parents must be very sad. She needs to see her parents and tell them she is still alive.

Besides, they are her parents; she has to reunite with them, don’t you think?

However, her current identity really makes it difficult for her to meet anyone of status, and her parents, as the King and Queen of Tianyun, are not people she can see whenever she wants. In addition, she is entangled with Madam Huo, preventing her from freely thinking of ways to see her parents.

Madam Huo has said that Huo Xiner had an arranged marriage shortly after she was born, to the legitimate son of Minister Tao from the Ministry of Rites, with the agreement that she would be married at fifteen.

But Huo Xiner is already sixteen years old now and has not yet married into the Tao family...

The reason is simple, the Tao family sees the Huo family declining and does not want to make the alliance through marriage.

Madam Huo simply won’t tolerate the Tao family dragging on with her granddaughter. In May this year, she took the marriage contract personally to the Tao family and even threatened to ask Lord Protector for judgment, as Undefeated Huo was once promoted by the Lord Protector.

Fearing Madam Huo would go to Lord Protector, the Tao family did not want the situation to escalate, so they had to honor the marriage contract and agreed to welcome Huo Xiner into their family on the twenty-sixth day of the first lunar month next year.

”Just twenty-six days left, and I’ll be married...” Su Xing is speechless about this fact.

She doesn’t want to marry at all.

She inherited Huo Xiner’s memories, knowing that the legitimate son of Minister Tao looks down on Huo Xiner and does not want to marry her at all.

But what can be done?

With such a protective and kind grandmother, she can’t run away from the marriage. She’s genuinely worried that if she does, her elderly grandmother might get sick out of anger.

This marriage is something Madam Huo managed to recoup with difficulty, and Huo Xiner, while she was alive, felt this marriage was arranged by her father. Even knowing the legitimate son of Minister Tao despised her, she decided to marry into the Tao family.

”In consideration of using your body, and for grandma’s sake, I’ll marry.” After a pause, ”From now on, I owe you nothing.”

Su Xing never thought about treating her marriage as child’s play, but now it seems to her this marriage is just child’s play, sacrificing her marriage as a repayment to Huo Xiner.

As for the reunion with her parents, she will think about it after getting married.

...

On the twenty-sixth day of the first lunar month, the bridal sedan arrives, and Su Xing gets married.

The journey from the Huo family to the Tao family is long. Even sitting in the bridal sedan, Su Xing still feels exhausted.
